I really have trouble with these projections. Go to Bournemouth or Brighton piers and see how much the water has risen in over 100 years. Are they telling us water levels are going to surge 3 to 4 feet or more in 7 years?????

He hasn't filled out yet. You may have been built like a tank at 19 but most youngsters take a bit if time to develop

Admiral FA cup final kit for me, how can any kit in the history of Saints be any better, also no ads to the front
-
Lol, ah yes the Fitzhugh, the haunt for many a Saints star. I have never visited it. I assume it is still there
-
It was Keith Honey, Lol..........of course it could have been all 3

I think I read/heard that the American owners are difficult. They will look to get the most possible, as we should expect. The club obviously feel confident nobody will poach him before we get this over the line. No doubt other clubs will have seen the last 2 managers we have chosen and so not gagging to pip us to our choice. Not a good sign that we have a free run perhaps, lol

If we approach a team for a player I doubt the selling club think a PL club is after him. There again with Ankersen he probably still tells all who will listen he owns a PL club

I think a bit of pedant is being played out here.

Anyone else on here used to go up and wait for the players to come out after training and so try and get autographs? All of us milling around the players cars vying to get a picture signed. Most were fantastic with us, Ted Bates always pleasant. Bobby Stokes always chirpy, Mick Channon as well, Big Ron was a bit more stand offish. The alehouse boys always very good. I remember vividly us playing football in the car park and Gordon Honey (Chairman?) come out and tell us all to bugger off. Different attitude to young fans in those days. No doubt we were little sods, but my older brother , Tony Stacey ( now a steward) would walk from Shirley rec area to the Dell car park to wait for them.

They also had Decoure who made a massive difference scoring some crucial goals. (amazing how Frank put him in the reserves and blanked him, very much the same as he did to the Chelsea centre back. Both came back into their teams and made massive differences)They also had some last minute goals in games they didnt deserve a point. One of them in the 10th minute of injury time. All made that little bit of difference in the end. Dyche did ok but I dont see him as a wonderful saviour.

I think he was on Tina's back. Niemi was a close second. I go back to Gerry Gurr and Eric Martins days. 😃

Hey DT I bet you were on Shiltons back lol

We will revisit this in a few months, I truly hope I am wrong. I can't say why I believe this to be the case and have nothing concrete,

Ian Ure, Jack Charlton spring to mind

MY absolute hero. When we would wait in the car park at the Dell after training I used to be so star struck I couldn't speak to him. The amount of autographs I had from him! There used to be a stock image on the back of the echo Id always cut out and put it in my scrapbook for him to sign. Wonderful days when the cynical side of age was not there and I could believe Saints were the best in the world

I wouldn't be confident Tino is staying.
-
well his save against Salah was pretty decent and saved us from defeat.

He recommended the bid to the owners I think you will find. Didnt he himself say he had other offers.

Oh come on Duncan, Pearson really?? That boat sailed years ago. Sooner or later the fanbase has to come to terms that we are a Championship club and so back the manager. Im not sure there is a manager out there that will appease all.
-
Luckily the club didnt listen to the fans re Poch and back to Big Mac. We all believe we know best. The reality is that we are a Championship club with a fanbase that is disenchanted. We have a list of managers thrown to the dogs, as they in our opinion didnt fit certain sections taste. The list of people wanting to take us on has dropped in quality I myself was not rushed into headlong celebration with the new owners very early. Semmens was a good man but I wonder if he he got sucked in by the sales talk and now regrets choosing to go forward with their bid ?

I think VVD missed an easy header, I believe it was the Israeli team game away
-
Perhaps, , this I dont know. I just remember standing from years ago, but in the sanitised society we have now, I wouldn't be surprised.

Thats the problem, would you have after the first leg lol
