  1. I dont have bank shares but dont feel there should be windfall tax on them. Anybody with a private pension I suspect gains from the banks doing well as the pension company will be invested. Its not just a case of if a company earns good money they should be penalised. As for the fuel companies, people bang on about renewables etc and want them to provide it, keep taking money from them and they will be less keen/able to invest.
  2. We use about4k-5k heating oil a year, grade II listed house so we cant have double glazing or solar (i hate the look of them)I do have a well in my basement and so the water is about 25ft below ground level, I wonder if I can harness the heat from the water to help?? Question re the solar panels, if they are on your roof what happens when a tile slips and you need to get to it? I believe sometimes only the installer is allowed to move the panels to get to it and so that could be expensive
  3. A tad premature
  4. We rarely have different opinions but in this case we have. Incisive passing! My memory is going but I can't think of many of those. That was my bugbear with him, as he got the ball and then played it to the soft option back or sideways. He was responsible for breaking up our attacks more often than the opposition. Personally I feel the managers were to blame, where he should have played was further forward aka Everton away where he broke into the box, Nathan did it the once then he was put back in a defensive role. He is a slow tireless box to box midfielder. Yes attendance record brilliant Consummate professional I agree Cheap yes, especially playing under a manager who knows the advantage of his crossing with his big defenders etc
  5. When JWP roughed up the penalty spot I felt Southgate frowned on that. Frankly if you take away his corners or free kicks what do you have???? There is no way he will be senior enough to take the ball away from any of the others especially Kane
  6. I dont know the answer here but how is Tella doing ??
  7. you have remember the quality of football judge on here
  8. 2 games ago
  9. The vegans cant type to give abuse as they are all too tired to do it. Vegans are like people who have given up smoking, just preach. Also I suspect they also are connected/same to Just stop oil, and the other madcap climate people. They all think they are right and everyone should have to follow what they want. IMO if you want to be a vegan, fair play but stop trying to stop everybody else.
  10. FIFA is not fit for purpose. Shame football nations do not have the balls to boycott it, and start a new association. After all dont England have the original rights to the game of football
  11. Well Downes will not be here anyway, KWP will be picked off in Jan I suspect. THB will be here if we get promoted. Bednarek if he goes will not be a problem as frankly 6 months or so a ago he was said to be useless, on here
  12. I just like to actually enjoy some weekends again. The last 3 years of losing more often than not is not good for mental health
  13. He was a top player for Luton in this league and so knows how to play. Go from strength to strength hopefully
  14. Amazing how players who have been disrespected by judges on here have proved themselves. So pleased to see them getting a little praise. Well done to Downes , Bree and Aribo.
  15. they hated him as he was Redknapp and Pompey. The abuse he had was disgraceful, very saddened when he went off to jeers of 'f-off Fuller' and that turned him to shed tears.
  16. I still sad for Ricardo as he was so badly treated by our fans.

    Ruben Selles

I wonder if they had made a song about him and sung his name
  18. whilst I do see that, by the time we have weaved our magic playing the ball around the back, they have had time to set their defence, lit a cigar and taken a sip of their brandy
  19. The playing the ball around the back is fine if you have fantastic technical players. Yes they get it right 90%-95% of the time, but get it wrong once you've lost the game. I only watched the game from about 30 minutes in. My view is that at no time did i have any confidence that we were going to keep them out. As soon as they pressed our back 4 they got edgy, we ccreated hardly anything and when we did the ball would flash across with nobody with the instinct to be in the right place. I thought Bree looked competent Getting the last minute goal was brilliant
  20. trouble is that we are like this every game. Need so much improvement if we really are going to make play offs
  21. Are you talking about the posters on here, or the team
  22. This is my very simplistic take. If the opposition want to make it difficult surely they dont get drawn forward. We are relying defenders/goalkeeper to be able to pass the ball accurately for 90+ minutes without making a mistake, good luck with that one. These players were not IMO brought up or even used to play that way. Most were to stop the ball and kick it up the pitch, all of a sudden they are expected to play difficult balls with their feet. It all seems madness to me, but I know my little voice in the wilderness won't be heard and ill suck it up. Wherever we are I will still be having my week-ends buggered up by the team I have encumbered myself with lol
  23. You can also add Harold Wilson, as he was mentioned early on. Politicians meet many people and so want to be seen as one of the people they mix with who they think are celebs of the day. The Royal family socialised with him as well the Pope, ( although who's surprised with priests)
  24. I didnt know that about his mate Ray! I dont think it mentioned it on the programme, if so I missed that. Very pleased he was though. I didnt read all of Hypo's posts but they don't sound good what you have mentioned. There are paedo's everywhere in society and so there could well be some who are fans/posters on here!!!! If so I hope they rot in hell
  25. Hypo was on form! We all can misjudge. As for the programme I thought Coogan was superb, made you think it was Saville. So sad seeing the real victims and how it has messed their lives up
