It would be ironic if WHU saved Pompey only for them to go down.If they do distort the league by helping them I do hope WH do go down.
-
HMRC realise they may not get anything in this instance but by winding Pompey up it sends a message out that they will not baulk at winding up any club that owe them money. For decades the revenue have been taken as idiots by most football clubs. They have drawn a line in the sand and so it has sent tremors through the football world. Clubs will now pay up smartly, so in turn in the long run the revenue will get paid
-
If it gets to the courts Pompey will be seen as trading whilst being insovent and so the PL will not have a team to fulfill those games. If they pay the revenue then the PL will have a team to finish the games. I suspect the Pl will give the option on the vote that they will help Pompey but give them a 9point pealty. That will appease the other clubs around them and also keep the fixtures played. As soon as Pomey have been relegated then the knives will be out in the summer. This to me seems as iof it will run and run, much to our frustration. No club will have the b#### to stand up and say anything. I assume that the courts will not get a chance to say whether they are tradin whilst insovent

does anyone know when the next tranche of Sky money is paid?
-
Ginge show me where I have said Pomey will get relegated and also not stay in business. I have been consistant in that opinion as I can see the PL's desperation for the league to fulfill all its fixtures. No doubt a lot of commercial contracts coud be effected. Their negligence not calling Pomey to task in the summer has led to this mess.
-
what about about the PL now aiding and abetting the crime of trading whilst insolvent. Lol
-
Again self interest, it is all about Liverpool getting an advantage. It is the PL putting a spin on it. If the court had been to decide today it would be goodnight, now they have time for other clubs to see the ramifications for them and so are quickly moving to help. I expect the bewst we can hope for is they get a -9 point deduction. If the payment is made to the revenue can I assume the court date is dropped and so 'trading while insolvent' will be not brought about?

But if the window opens do pomey think they are going to get top prices!!!! It is a sale and so the clubs will only buy if the players are cheap or better than they already have.Add in the wages and that is another barrier. I will be amazed if anyone will go out on a limb for any except of course Spurs and all of a sudden West Ham pay over the odds. The club alos should be forced to return their loan players as they are patently playing whilst insolvent.

Sir Winston Churchills take on this may well have been 'Never in the history of business, has so much been owed to so many by so few'
-
You didnt try and sell players at all , you tried brinkmanship and very nearly lost the sale of Bergovic due to fighting over the last few quid. if you are granted the window opened , are you selling at best price offered even if it is cut price or will you then try all the 'we are not doing a firesale' Storrie ? You bought the FA cup and have had the memories that came with it, at the same time robbing fans whose clubs played by the rules that same feeling. now the medicine should be administered you are crying like babies (akaStorrie) and trying every trick you can. I have said all along you will get out of it, and still feel you could avoid relegation. the next 2 games are very winnable and so you could be within touching distance. The PL is so desperate for their brand to be kept intact and also the likes of Gold who needs the 4 points for West Ham that you will get survival.

did you see those parcels of land are mortgaged by Barclays.I thought there was no borrowings on the club from the banks!
-
Why congratulate him for the victory, they fielded a side that contained a large proportion of players who should not have been allowed to play.
-
Will the players minds be on the game. They will be welcomed as heroes of course after beating a L1 team by playing for a breakaway win.
-
Ill give a guess of the attendance in the directors box if you like.
-
I did realise that but wished to use your post to comment from. Nobody else had made an issue of that and Ied be interested if Clapham or Bucks saint (as i beleive both are in the administration business)can put light on if adding more bits on after the deadline is allowed.
-
That is not possible surely. I thought they had to have all the information in by 4pm wednesday surely any other information is null and void.
-
What people do not seem to be factoring in, is the DESPERATION of the PL to save their face. Push comes to shove they will bend the rules to keep the league with it's 20 teams in tact. To me if they help Pompey and give them a -9 point penalty that is the best i can expect at this moment in time. I dont know how FIFA will react and am surprised at their reticence to act. I can't see Pomey being qble to claw much money in for players anyway, the bids they would attract would be rock bottom and as Chanrai is said to have got them as a guarentee of his money, he may have a say in it.
-
Has Storrie been on SSN crying that the man from Vantis waved the report in his face in a threatening manner. he is thinking of resigning as he is only trying his best to keep Pompey in business and people from looking into the books
-
Peter Kay just knew he shouldnt be there and called LIam Gallagher a knob. It was cringeworthy ..Jonathan Ross like your embarrassing uncle. Cheryl Cole was awful. The best performance was Alicia Keys, turned it off when Robbie Williams was boring us.
-
I can see the logic in that but why are they still there? I can only assume they have something in the report that we have not thought of.
-
I assume the bits they wish to have factored in ,is the extra cash from the Fa Cup fixture and the tv/PL money due. Also the sudden reduction in the wage bill of Utaka's wages. Strange that he has been so unhappy about the talk about his wages why speak about it today?
-
tha cant be correct. Vantis surely would have to check the new information if they are going to put their name to it.
