I would have thought Abramovich would have been a little peeved that a player they sold for 4m was then quickly sold on for 12m? and they still didnt pay them the money due. I do accept Grant may be able to persuade him though.

Im glad he has had a chance. There is omething about him that I think he'd do ok. He works hard and tracks back and can cross the ball. In fact he does try to get to the byeline as well

I haven't really seen much of todays game except reading a few posts on here before halftime where KD made 2 saves to keep us in the game.I then heard a bullitin about the 2 goals. I then read the anti AP comments on here and can't believe it. It is the players fault that you let a goal in within 20 secs. They were unprofessional and Im surprised that Wotton or a midfielder(if he was on the pitch still) didnt foul the bloke to stop the attack. I assume as we hav'nt had a change of manager for 6months we need our fix...it is amazing and the snipers should take a look at themselves, i do truly believe we do have some Pompey fans who come on as saints fans trying to unsettle. Only Pompey fans would be wanting a change to unsettle us at this stage. The JPT is our best chance this season and the PO were always going to be difficult

I cant understand why there has been no pompey transfer gossip. that gardening leave must have been at Kew lol I could have sworn that we were told by the Skate in the know ,that it was not a money laundering operation but a development opportunity, with houses shops and hotels. John you are right. In respect that the Echo may turn the knife but at the same time they will need to build bridges. NC I suspect has drawn a line in the sand and if dealing with him you know your boundaries.That to me is a good way to do business. if the Echo hold to their word then i suspect the rewards would be greater. I notice myself people are less likely to talk at the club now nad that could well be down to the new broom

How about if there was a timescale agreed to sign or get agreement from the selling ( I know it was a free) club. Lets just imagine that the selling club did not come back in the agreed time. Should the buyer then say ok you didnt do as you agreed but we will buy anyway? or say 'we gave you a timeframe' and you have in that time perhaps tried to get a better deal elsewhere and then come back when that has not materialised. NC and new SFC are now freshmen to football, if the word goes around that if you agree a timescale and dont hold to it your deal falls through, that can only be a good thing longterm and long protracted deals aka Rudi could be a thing of the past. I dont know if this is the scenario but it would make sense if NC is as strict a businessman as i get the impression he is.
