  1. No you did the right thing as my daughter and myself both said his attitude changed when the interviewer made a couple odigs as though he was fighting for his job,,,add to that the Avram interview and I was spitting feathers at the cheek of Grant
  2. why do when we play well and make the opposition look poor is it down to them being lame and the worst side around. We played football above our league standing and from the off terrified them even though they scored from their first attempt. We would beat any team in this league if we could sustain that level of football. Norwich and Walsall have been put to the sword by some very good football. Well done Saints. MoM Puncheon, he linked play and made the side look far more balanced than we have for a long time...ps well done Pardew
  3. WC he did mention tuesday and said it something like the 'debacle tuesday'
  4. Exactly, the interviewer said some things that got under his skin. The sarcastic comment about the fans singing his name was pathetic. The fans have been in the main behind him and I wish the solent interviewer was as niggly when interviewing Grant, who comes out with so much nonsense but they let him get away with it.
  5. Mourinho V Ferguson if you please, Im the suave good looking one.
  6. I listened to that interview and was incredulous. 'i believe in fairness, and that it should be decided on the pitch.Well he should look at the squad he should have been able to have and then see how fair it is. Again he said about that the PL stopped him having a full squad. No wonder they are in the state they are when this mentality rules
  7. Danny Wallace had Hanson fouling him all the time, the ref let him get away with it. Only a weak backpass by Bond let Rush in to score and then it was game over. We were only likely to nick a win but while it was 0-0 there was always a chance
  8. Now that is fantastic news for you. I dont wish to brag but I have won the lottery, got 3 numbers but fortunately I ticked the box no publicity , I didn't wan begging letters from FP
  9. FF now you really cna buy him a drink with info like that coming out!!! Lets hope you persuade him to give us some more laughs
  10. Why would severe wrist strain stop you walking?
  11. Yet another who will be targetted in my extensive teamtalk. My centre halves are not very accurate, and so I might say take the right leg but they will almost certainly miss and take your left. Not following the managers instructions but I suppose that will be ok.
  12. I wouldnt send it out too many times as that is an old un. Good to read that rehash again though.
  13. Greg, if I stood back and looked at it from any other business standpoint I have encountered I would also say they were history....but for weeks on here we have had lots of very well people versed in these things saying that Pompey would not survive. They are still here and seeing how they have got away with so much in the last decade or so that has been obvious to lay men like myself, I feel they will get another large slice of luck. They are only 1 game from wembley semi final and 2 from the final. Just imagine the world coverage and the sypathetic media coverage and you never know some Chinese billionaire may come forward to save this quaint old football club.
  14. I turned up on a fact finding mission, they looked rather useful, I think we had better man mark the shopping trolley as it looked better on its feet than the rest of that lot.
  15. you forgot the pink cravate. I move in the less sophisticated parts of society, in case you hadn't noticed. It is Dr Martens and not open unless you are offered a decent wedge.
  16. I have 1 rule for all my defenders. It is very simple, as most centre backs have headed the ball and opponents forwards too many times. Rule 1 if it has an away shirt on kick it, if it still is moving do it again until it has stopped doing so.
  17. I didn't but my older did. I think that was the occasion when we took their end?
  18. Lol that's the state of our edcation, and that was under Harold Wilson
  19. A copy of an e-mail I sent to the PM's office 'I find it very distaseful that you have offered your words of comfort to Portsmouth football club. This is a club who have been run on a boom and bust policy. How about all the other clubs who have been run prudently? Or bigger clubs like Southampton Leeds etc who have gone into administration but never had the same soothing words from you. Only today Chester have been expelled from the league and Bournemouth have been served with a winding up order. Just because Portsmouth are in the PL (and only been so due to buying their place and not being prudent) you have made it your business to make your statement. in time you will see it as a misjudgement to stand by their side as even the High court registrar agreed that they were being run whilst being insolvent. as your position as a former chancellor of the exchequer i think that they are not the club you should be cosying up to.'
  20. yep plus they are due 5m sky money soon. I would myself caution all those who are saying they are finished etc as I beleive they have turned a deal and going to make many people throw their hands up in the air in disbelief. As a saints fan I find it distatsteful that the PM has not mentioned other football clubs in the past when they have also gone into administration and how do fans at Chester, Bournemouth etc feel ?
  21. Please please please do not try and make out that we had intense rivalry with Man u that was reciprocated. it will make us look as fooloish as the Pompey lot saying they are greatest fans etc. Man u looked at us as just another club from down south who were provincial like Coventry etc. Pompey will always be our number 1 rivals and I cnat see any arguement otherwise
  22. i think your like of him will quickly diminish as he wriggles Pompey away from their warranted penalties
  23. reading earlier about the % of unsecured debt warrants if the HMRC can stop them coming out with a CVA. I would suspect that they have worked out a formula to allow it that the HRMC are not quite there. They have been working with some top minds for weeks to get this done. The lady registrar fudged her decision and may have cost the revenue millions of £'s
  24. Solent didn't even stay for the questions. Administrator says they will come out with a CVA. They must have made the HMRC's debt not get to the amount where they have a say.
