  1. To lead you dont have to have a bit mouth, you have to inspire not only on the pitch but also in the dressing room.
  2. or happy to help
  3. Nicks quote] 'Im looking forward to Phils reply on this.Im fairly certain that Mj had similar experiences of Fry not being helpful.' [end quote} Tell me where that is wishing for Harris bid to be victorious or even MJ's. It is a case of wanting Phils opinion because if you read his posts he complained on numerous occasions of Fry putting the phone down and also being unhelpful.Nothing to do with wanting bids to suceed
  4. Wotton is a leader and so is Kelvin
  5. Hypo, show a bit of respect , you are above the cheap digs. The man has come out and tried to face up to a personal problem. It accounts for some of his outbursts, in the main he is a damned good poster and when he can keep a lid on it is difficult to out debate. As for , as he was understanding of RL, he must have mental health issues and then so must I and many others on here. Give him a break
  6. OSM I do think senility is really taking a grip in your life. It is Fry's conduct not the loss of Harris bid.I couldnt give a toss about that the Swiss did their work and got us, iam sure in a short time it will dawn on the fanbase that whilst he is a billionaire very little of that will be splashed on us. We are saved that is paramount for me, but some of the fanbase will turn when they realise we will not be buying promotions. Fry so nearly ****ed up and why so many jump in to defend him is strange to say the least, especioally as his actions cost your mate in excess of £1m
  7. Fair point Victor, but I cant see him uniting the fanbase, too much baggage for my liking
  8. Im looking forward to Phils reply on this.Im fairly certain that Mj had similar experiences of Fry not being helpful.
  9. I can tell you he was having issues with MM even late last season.Whether he will leave is another thing.Didnt Oldknow have a tie up with Leicester until recently?
  10. True but i look past his battles against certain things and see what he achieved at his last job. Sadly that was disasterous and his man management seemed out of control.I didnt myself see anything from him apart from taking a succesful side into a slide.
  11. Yes 22 this season but if you are defending the high wages players get and we get back to having star players would you pay 35 upwards to watch them sitting on the northam.I dont think I will want to.
  12. It is not jibes regarding his age, it is pragmatic IMO.He is part of our history and that is the way it should be, it is ridiculous to want the old kitman back. Anyway Ill leave it there we were going to look forward and not back.
  13. Thats fair but would you pay 35 to pay towards their lifestyle?
  14. I heard that the club had orders in for them but until we had been taken over couldnt pay and so couldnt get them in.They will now be purchased and so soon to be wheeled out into the Megastore etc
  15. Ok, will you buy a season ticket to pay towards their living of around 700+ in the Northam? Ps are you coming back this season as we are not playing Plymouth
  16. He is close to retirment age isn't he? He has a job and that is good and Im sure he is a great bloke. I just cant see the reason to call for his return, perhaps now we have a wealthy owner he may want to do so. Id rather Pearson myself if we are going back to old faces.
  17. I dont know him, but we are talking about peoples living. It is not clear who is the current kitman and I suspect he is much younger and would lose his job.Is that ok on the basis that a man who is close to retiring comes back and somebody loses his job in a period when it is not easy to gain employment. How would you feel if people who have no knowledge of the situation were trying to campaign to get an older employee back to fill your job when no doubt you were doing as good a job if not better at a lower salary.
  18. thats fine but will you be happy to buy a s/t close to a grand to help pay for them to drive them? These people are in the main not very bright, cant kick a ball from 12 yards into a goal and have trouble passing the ball more than 10yards 60-70% of the time. I dont mind them earning a good wage but it is now getting beyond a joke.
  19. Watching John Terry driving his Bentley took me back to my youngdays watching our star player in the late 60's (the best centre forward in Europe according to Sir Matt Busby)getting into his old Jag, and driving off to live in his house in middle class areas like Pirrie Close in Upper Shirley. That was acceptable John Terry wanting to talk to Man city for 300k a week.I dont care how wealth our owner is I wont wish to pay £700+ a season to pay for people like that thanks
  20. I know he has been trying to work on his tracking back.He was caught napping away at Norwich where the player he was to mark was left to score and the following game v Swansea he let his player free to go on ummarked and score.
  21. Lol, thats right having a pensioner dealing with the kit and also trying to engage with young footballers. Lets bring back the old carpark attendant and the stewards who used to be there 20 years ago. It's laughable. Of course for the last 2 seasons we havent had a kitman and it has done it all by itself. No doubt the one there now has a wife kids and mortgage and is surplus to requirements, and doesnt need a job.
  22. Compared to Everton we are a snip. We dont expect success but live on a crumb of it.Everton will always be looking at their bigger brother, Man City likewise , it doesnt matter how much money they throw at it, it will always be Man Utd;'s or Liverpools smaller neighbour.
  23. Cotterill was said to be telling a few people he had the job if a certain consortium got the club. Sadly I dont knopw which consortium. It seems ML is deeply religeous and so is GH!!
  24. Alpine true sentiments for me. I as much as I wont like it am of the mindset to take what the new owners wish for be it Hoddle or Adams. I will have my reservations but I wish for a united fanbase with smiles not frowns. We all can make our own little contribution by debating fears and worries but not the bloody mindedness of the past.
