  1. well done Derry your love of the club shows through.I would respectfully suggest that the plans your group make is not for saving what we had but starting over a new AFCSaints as however well meaning you are the costs we have will never get near making.Unless we have a backer with real funds it is costing you time and if a bid is made costing our club valuable funds as the administrator will be bound to go and spend time getting the bid looked at. It is time for the timewasters to STEP BACK and lets see if there really is any substance to any bigger playerws if there are any. Iam slowing getting to the realisation that some of the things I was accused of 'scaremongering' pre administration may be coming to pass. Please be it Im so wrong, it will make me very happy to be so.
  2. I was told when he was made club captain he was as proud as anybody could ever be. He cares but i doubt we will see him in a saints shirt at SMS after saturday
  3. In theory but it will be like a wake and so many will be put off by that.If the media really lay it on and its a lovely day perhaps there will be a good walk up.
  4. he scored in a 2-0? defeat. He was signed ofter midnight of the transfer deadline and scored his only goal for Brum in his debut against us.
  5. Typical saints we didnt rock the boat about that.Prutton got a massive ban and we didnt try to appeal..although I doubt it waqs a big problem him missing
  6. I think you are getting a bit carried away. We only sold 27k on cheap tickets after the media hype and RL departing. 22k looks like the most unless the media goes into full swing and tells people it will be the last game ever at SMS, then the train crash watchers will turn up.
  7. unless we get an injection of funds it will be me or Dubai Phil as the next manager. Im told we are being scouted as managers in the forum game

    Magilton sacked

after winning the local derby and perhaps sending them down. Its a tough business being a manager
  9. I doubt they feel the pain we do, after all they have not been brought up as saints through and through. The very little I have gleaned as nobody wants to talk about it was that the dressing room was very down most of the players had their heads in their hands and it was very quiet.I get the impression also KD was very very upset. The manager told them what he thought, and that they had let the fans club and themselves down.I dont think it is because they dont care but they are not good enough to turn it on in the important games. When was the last time we could really go to a game and think we were most likely to win? Probably 5years ago.
  10. If they dont agree they resort to insults.especially if you try and what they perceive a defence of RL, when in the main it is just being evenhanded.
  11. I agree you have been very restrained DPS
  12. 'We'll never play here again.'
  13. Daren I understand what you say about RLas a chairman and its water under the bridge. My experience of LC as chairman was not great when I was the guest of Bournemouths directors last season. They were not at all impressed in the way he treated them with disrespect. I cringed when our fans sung to the Yeovil fans 'you'll never play here again' when their plucky small club came to SMS. The constant harping on that we were a big club didnt help either and of course our constant getting out of relegation would have irked the fans of clubs who did go down those seasons.RL has made a massive impact but he did make a concerted effort to make the ground family friendly and any trouble makers were weeded out. Niall Quinn is without the doubt a role model of a chairman and his jesture giving all his testinmonial money to charity showws what a great person he is.Sadly there are few who would get near him. As with our state now there are a plethora of reasons why RL bing a big part in both
  14. I share your passion
  15. Tesco and Asda!! Is there a massive population in that area to need a massive supermarket? There are loads of warehouses in the main isnt there?
  16. are you coming to watch the mighty Greys then Eelpie? My wife has been calling me Cloughie, I need to find a green sweatshirt top like he used to wear. I think Big Phil Dubai is looking for a shell suit so he can emulate his managerial hero Mike Basset England manager. He's already told his team they are going to play 4-4-f#####g 2
  17. Relegation had nothing to do with stay away fans. The product, infighting, RL, MW, poor football, disappointing games and the fact that we were not playing Man u stopped the fans coming. I think Dibden is saying that if the fans who stayed away on principle rather than the glory had turned up we would have been better off financially.Personally i really dont think that there are that many fans who cuto ff their noses to spite their face and so hundreds rather than thousands.if Dubai Phil's assessment of costs is correct and it seems reasonable then their attendance may have made very little difference.Getting rid of Rudi Rasiak Saga BWP and JE would have made much more.
  18. I think it is the wage bill that is as crippling at present
  19. Well the saint radio was only of any use to SFC, bloody Man u didnt need it.it was specific to our area and gave us a great advertising medium. It was advertising merchandising, the club web site and ticket info across the souths airwaves and so its had invisible earnings for the club other local radio stations could not use. Do you think Kellogs say well the advert didnt earn us anything so cut it. No they could see that by having an adverty sales improved of their goods elsewhere.
  20. Sweansea are playing hardball about Dyer, as i would expect. None of our younger players will be that good the top teams will be breaking the necks to get and so that avenue is gone.A firesale of Jacksons farm is the easiest way. How much is it worth and how big a piece of land is it.Does anybody know on here? ps where are those whoi said administration was a good thing?
  21. OOOh, looks like it will be a big dose of Philisan at half time for my team then...or as they warm up pre match!
  22. Thank god the rodent is in Big Phil's side. I dont give you permission to speak just bow when you greet me.
  23. I agree Phil after getting a last second reprieve and becoming a manager Im really looking forward to meeting some of the lads who come on here.
