Yep and Clough was helped by Peter taylor and LM by Clunie Ted bates by Mortimer. GB left us in a better position than when NP left or the situation now. He turned players like Bale Jones and Baird into big money sales. What ddi we sell those 3 for? more than he spent in his time here. he walked out on us like Hoddle, WGS, Bally and LM they all in their own way have hurt the club by doing so.

Frost is a forest fan as well I think you will find.
-
IF we do stay up the young players will have cut their teeth and be better prepared. The financial losses will have been cut and we will be in a better position than now.
-
It is definately against the rules. A great rumour though.
-
And you will be the only person stupid enough to really think I meant of all time.

Thanks but i was knocked off guard by someone mentioning Danny wallace in the game as well and so thought we would have had too many up front. Fantastic football that day. Wasn't it under Nicholl that we had Andy richies late goal in injury time that that p##ck Roger Milford added on from nowhere

I think we were playing our best football when lallana was playing in the hole. The problem was then as now we were not getting results. He needs to address his tackling heading and shooting. His footwork is great it is just he doesnt do the stuff in the box.He has so much talent but it needs to be brought to hte surface.

I do hope you mean the administrators on this site not the....

Ridout and Shearer are you sure???

but if we had less money in the bank the following year then it perhaps may mean all things being equal that the next lot were not as prudent etc etc.If LC had left the club with millions in credit and now we were millions in the red it wuld be rightly claimed Lowe now had mismanaged. That is the point.

Still thinking still the same.

You are right JFP> What a game that was we were supreme. Was it the game that Dalgliesh made excuses and there were loads of letters in the Echo about his ungracious attitude .i think I had a letter published in the Pink about that.
-
I cant understand why I feel underwhelmed with that sentence.
-
OK and so tell me how much we had in the bank just before the ends of June the year after and the year after that.Nonepence.So you are not dispelling it at all just attacking it from a way that again obscures the fair debate.

Controversial post alert - ignore if you like Lowe
OldNick replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I have experienced LC's conduct as our representative when we played in a friendly and he was hardly an ambassador of our club.now that may not be the norm and it has been alluded to his stewardship when he was here.i dont know the facts of his time but he was not straight with us and did not give us the whole truth. I remeber him saying it was not true that we had settled the Theo deal etc early and then it turned out he had. we should be very picky who we join up with and i again agree RL is not somebody the fans will ever fully rally behind but a run of victories would finish the protests. -

All very true, and I have been critical of RL due to his lack of speed in ridding us of jan. NP gave fans something that has not been at the club for a long time, but I still do not believe he was that great although I do admit he has done well at Leicester. RL will always be damaged goods and so admit he would be best gone if there is a better alternative, im not one of the 'anyone but lowe' crew and so at peresent grin and bear it. -

I agree, on the pitch that day there was a feeling of emotion,30000 saints fans. i still say where they in the games leading up to that and if we have such a game again this season i expect 30000 will turn up again.Watching expectant car crashes always appeals. Yes RL should have kept NP for 1 reason, he was uniting the fanbase, that in hindsight may be something he regrets. -
thankyou for your post. Also for clearing up the confusion because your post last season regarding MC going abroad to speak to the friend. Duncan gave a different story and so the spinning came from 2 posters who gave different versions of the same story. That is how the story got out of sync and in these suspicious times of politics and dealings at the club these things are magnified. You were a good poster and then disappeared from the forum, having people who can come on and straighten these issues is something missing.I have long thought that SFC should have an official on here who can counter some of the more explosive claims.i do understrand the club is in a no win situation but some of the claims put on here are destructive. Being just a fan who has always queued up and paid to get in and not sampled the delights of the boardroom I can only see it as i do from down here in the pile, every can of coke and bag of crisps is paid for by someone.I assume it is by the mugs who queue up to pay and apologies if you and your family have never sampled any of those privilages. I may add that MC is playing a dangerous game by voicing her opinions now and not at other times in the past when things have gone pear shaped.Your grandfather is rightly revered for what he did to keep the club alive decades ago. I have been castigated on here for questioning why the family did not do anything to stop the reverse takeover, I was told your grandfather was unwell at the time and so accept that. I still cannot fathom why weren't the people who tried to get the shares from Mr Bowyer and your grandfather in an seemingly underhand way not outed and why the family still dealt with these same people who are now sitting in the background of the club and have been so for decades.

funnily enough they pronounce Aluminum correctly wheras we dont.

I think a lot of what you say is valid.Without a doubt had we stayed in the PL this would not be an issue now, but s### happens and for a lot of reasons we went down, some due to him. he was ousted by the Wilde bunch when he was struggling to cut the costs of a PL club that had built up its structure after 27years in the top league. You cannot do that immediately as we could have gone straight back up. Allegedly when he was ousted there was £m's in our account and then the new lot who followed (it doesnt matter who ) then were reckless. Football first was the cry and i recall many saying 'lets go for it and worry later' wellwe lost the shirt off our backs due to spinning the roulette wheel and now RL has returned and getting the blame all over.Yes he made a big mistake in my eyes by keeping Jan too long and I worry that Wotte will not make things better, but the people who went in the past have a lot to answer for as well

but you have jumped to a conclusion, we have no proof it is the same poster.I dont believe it is him/her. I know its not Flashman as i was on the end of a lot of his posts and Nineteen Canteen is not him. SB could not hold back from being abusive. Nineteen to me seems a fan who is pro RL in respect of the way he is trying to keep us out of administration and by being supportive he is immediately castigated.I myself think hisd posts are informing and very intelligent and put many of our posts to shame. If he was pro LC he would be welcomed as a long lost brother, but as he is saying thngs that many dont like he is cast as a villain.I want him to become a member on here and submit more as he3 engages some good debate. That makes the site healthier in the long term.if we awere all anti Lowes and pro LC's it would be boring as hell.

Was he a Nicholl signing? I thought Branfoot got him.I never rated him

I didnt hear the interview but did catch a snippet, her faith is still in Fulthorpe and Cousins.People snipe at me because i questioned her judgement, lol. They have been sitting on the sidelines and done nothing when they could have acted in december or before so they could have effected things for us earlier.Morph came on and alluded to they were waiting for the experiment to be a total failure before making their move. Well if their motives are so cynical they will be no better either. Was she asked about her role in the PA saga and whether she flew to a friend who knew him to try and resurrect the deal (as per her nephew) or that she saw him at a wedding (as per her conversation with Duncan) MC is obviously a lovely person and very well meaning being a fan but she seems too naive to me dealing with that lot of snakes at the top.Is she friends with Askham or Wiseman who also have their part to play in our demise.Read the Richards article that was put up on here the other day and that was a reeal eyeopener to the goings on by many different parties who are honoured to be directors etc

some have just been waiting for a chnace to criticise the player who above all has been doing his best to try and help get us results. He is as proud of his position at our club as anyone who is said to be a fan as well, and then he is the brunt of this type of post. There is a proportion of fans on here who want players to fail just so they can somehow think they are a good judge, sad but true. DT is the only one on here who has been consistant ll along in his criticism of KD and so I can accept his moaning as for the other fickle bunch....

what a bunch of fans some of you are.
