  1. Decisions by RL ,the Wilde bunch, LC HR, GH WGS and many others have contributed to our demise.Yes RL is am ajor part of it as well but you will not get me to believe that the lily livered team that cost us so many easy points were not as damned responsible as ANY decision RL made that season.Yes he left Wigley in charge for too many games but HR had many games to save us and the players well..
  2. I wouldnt campaign for RL as I wouldnt for any of the other people who have failed us.I just see both sides of the arguement and have been bitten the last time we jumped into the unknown. Get a decent alternative and i will be with you and isuspect 99% of the rest of the fans who come on here.
  3. NP was not sacked, the option to renew his contract was not taken up.For the life of me i dont understand why LC did not give him a 3 year or even a rolling contract with a notice on it.Surely that was a mistake by him because if he had then RL would not have been able to sack him financially. As for miracles, please we have been over this time and again. When he came in we were closer to the playoff positions than the relegation places, the last game we were within 20 minutes of being relegated, that is not miraculous it was nearly foolhardy. LC did the same we have been told on here. LC was going to scrap the bus travel Last season especially in the last 10 games the football was poor as well , this again was under LC. Can you give us a reason why it is different now? Going to away games would cost you more, but i can't criticise any of our away fans because they have been superb for a long long time now.
  4. We look forward to your return.I may say we did hear that last time whren he was go9ing to go and the fans didnt return.
  5. Is there a division 3??? Yes I will go, i do now i have for 40 years so why not.If RL stays in charge we wont get a -15 point penalty as we are up to date with the revenue and customs, so Im led to believe. If we go into administration we would lose -10 only if that stays the same. I dont know that it would be the case if the last crowd were in charge. It doesnt mean i havent had enough of the RL and all its turmoil but for financial reasons I trust him.Footballing reasons then Im not so sure.

    Lupoli

I suspect his agent gve him a choice , good wages at SU in a team that may make the playoffs (BT's wages off the wagebill) or relegation scrap at SMS with the fans and club in turmoil, tough decision that.
  7. It is a free world, i myself realise that by starving the club of finance is self defeating.Less money through the gate less money to spend on players/wages the quality drops more the results get worse the gates reduce and so it becomes a downward spiral.Of course then it will prove RL is rubbish as the money to invest is much reduced. Will you go again if RL leaves but we are then L1?
  8. i would have thought once bitten twice shy could be aimed at us all. 'Anyone but Lowe was the call before and RL's return also has not been any good, except if he keeps us from administration and also if we stay up.LC Salz or many others may have done the same of course but surely avoiding administration is of paramount importance. I do not fear a different figurehead but i want one for the right reasons, not for ego or just because they say the right things.
  9. The appointment of Jan has turned out to be a mistake, read back to my posts all along and I have been sceptical about his appointment. It is not just the last 3 games I had called for him to be replaced sometime before that. His tactics and substitutions were useless and yes he had to go. I also said for fan unity i wished for NP to stay but it is not in my control and like a lot of managers before they would not be my first choice. You may forget or not wish to recall ,if the fans had their way the greatest period in the clubs history would not have happened. we are fans and have little control over the clubs appointments. RL should leave as he will never win the fans over, he had his chance to wallow in glory when he got the stadium and we were at Cardiff, for various reasons it has gone down hil from there. You may or may not but feel a bit responsible in a very small way for our demise like myself, as i was very vociferous in my not wishing for the return of GH. 'I'd rather we go down than have him back' were the words I spoke.I now live with the results of that, we may still have been doomed but like with NP, I suspect the results would have been better under him than what followed.
  10. In summary to get a large slice back we have to be in the PL or at least be successful. Whilst I am fully supportive of ridding the club of RL if there is a decent alternative it is clear that a lot of fans are not coming due to the success not RL. If LC returned tomorrow would the gates increase significantly? I fail to see they would, if he returned with a wealthy backer and the fans could see hope and an end to the nightmare a large amount would be reinvigoured and may return. If the people in the background who have talked a good game and said they were going to buy us out dont act in the next 2 weeks we will have to stay as we are as a new regime would not have time to make the changes to stave off the relegation. Dont forget Fulthorpe etc were kicking the tyres 3/4 's of the way through last season. Hardly decisive are they?
  11. That is where i have issue with your post. You were Im fairly certain a major backer and trumpeter of the need for us to back the Wilde bunch. Nobody who was in that camp can EVER come out with a statement like you put after backing them. RL is no good for our club in the longterm, in the shortterm he has to be brave and make the correct decisions. So far this season he has made a mess of leaving Jan in charge (although had we won 2 more home games this furore would not be around the club) to long and perhaps his next choice is no better, it is too soon to make a fair judgement on that, but if Wotte does turn things around and we do avoid admin then RL has done well.He will never win the fans over and so should do what he can and then move off and leave us to our fate.
  12. Well if it takes a must win game to get them off their ar### we are in the sh##.
  13. I am not argueing that is not necessarily the case but it is not all black and white that NP would have been any more successful, we might all believe that to be the case, but our away results are very credible there is no guarentee NP would have replicated those. Saying that the home form is appalling and he would have done better almost certainly and of course that would have transmited into better crowds,at first anyway.
  14. Wes that is nonsense. The fans were not there pre SU, they turned up to watch a train crash.I do not believe that NP would have got any bigger crowds to watch us if we had poor sets of results, and anyway if so you are saying the ones staying away now are hypocritical as we are told often that they are staying away due to Lowe in charge. NP no doubt would have got a better set of results at SMS but would he away? Wemay still have bene strugling , it is all opinions regarding him.
  15. That is very true and if we got a modicuj of success there would always be an underlying resentment. You oly have to look at the KD thread to see people are waiting in the background to then resurface to have a go. I myself never wanted Wilde and his bunch or LC for that matter and found their actions distasteful at times but I lived with it and went to watch Saints.Sadly the people against Lowe in the main cant bring themselves to do the same.I hope that he can leave with his head held high that he has helped keep us from administration and the team have stayed up. That is if the Wolves thing doesnt happen.......tongue in cheek
  16. UM what would you say is the root cause of this reduction in our gatesThere are a number of reasons. The return of RL, terrible results at home, redundancies in the economy, some thinking that they are paying to watch the reserves!, an erosion of interest due to lack of success. If we have to win our last home game to stay up I expect the ground will be full again. The last home game of last season would have bolstered the averages of last season of course and would have lifted the average by about 500-1000
  17. I think the SCW thing was never given a full chance to work and so we will never know if it would have been a waste. The results would have taken quite some time to filter through. We as football fans are blinkered and Allardyce used many 'new' ways at Bolton and that gave them some success. The indoor training faciities surely are something that shouldnt be criticised and I suspect the tenders were agreed before we were relegated.Clifford , well that is on the barmy side but again it was cut before any chance to see the results. As for the fans at hiome games, i believe they have shown tremendous restraint and only during the Donny game did they turn. Swansea they were brilliant I dont know during the SU game as I couldnt make it.
  18. Yes both left when RL was going to be ousted. They were not impressed in the way he was treated Im led to believe.
  19. dont let it get to you, most understand.
  20. No...but I have played at SMS.
  21. Why? is it for being associated with Gordon Brown
  22. JE at least gives his all and we need him. As much as I hate footballers high salaries he was offered it and so didnt turn it down.
  23. that bint really annoys me, shes such a sycophant, i could have smashed the tv when she was interviewng Blair.
  24. WC state education and dreaming too much about playing for Saints...oh and then moving to a mixed secondary school after a year or so at an all boys school.being thick doesn't help either
  25. Yep and Clough was helped by Peter taylor and LM by Clunie Ted bates by Mortimer. GB left us in a better position than when NP left or the situation now. He turned players like Bale Jones and Baird into big money sales. What ddi we sell those 3 for? more than he spent in his time here. he walked out on us like Hoddle, WGS, Bally and LM they all in their own way have hurt the club by doing so.
