Thats why i dont comment on the performances away.I will talk about goals if I have seen them on tv but I do like to read fans assessments who have been to those games.I do read some of the reports more avidly than others though.I think some have a record of being even handed and fair in their judgement and so take more of what they have to say than others who just put 'we were rubbish' and not give any insight into why.
-
i alos cited Navyred s leaving here as a disappointment.if anyone knows him perhaps it could be relayed to him that he should come back on here. The criticism of the young lads has decreased and so he might be able to stomach reading it.I also have felt rage at the way the young players have been dismissed by some but argued why they are wrong to do so, surely that is the best way.
-
That is true as a lot of us have different opinions of certain players. In the main though by watching the performance you do get a feel how the team is progressing or degressing.
-
Not attending does not stop you having the right to comment, I wholeheartedly agree with that.Alos people living away or cant afford to attend also, but it is impossible to really see how the team are playing unless you have been there. You only have to watch Motd and them saying what a great game ande you think sometimes where did they get that from.
-
I cant recall you coming on here during the Wilde bunch days saying any of that Alpine. The 'bleeding obvious' that the Wilde bunch fired more duds than a eunach seemed to evade you as well.

You have made a name for yourself on here as you are mentioned more than any other poster and so you have your 15 minutes of fame.Enjoy your moment in the spotlight, when things improve your negative posts will dry up and your fellow followers of doom wil fade away and this site will become slightly happier. Iam more than happy you post but do not get all upset when people are critical of your anti club stance. I am loyal to the club i I support. Therefore I will defend it against unfair and constant criticism, especially when it is not always done to enhance or improve the club, but just to try and get a point scored.
-
i would like the club to look at Lutons right back, i have seen him play twice and both times he has been assured quick and comfortable on the ball.

A draw or better will be a good result. We dont need to lose belief again by losing the game.Cardiff are a good side and to expect to beat them is beyond me.From little acorns and all that.Lets stop the ;losing win ,draw and then move onto games with a little more confidence. The fans have shown tremendous character in staying with the side, after saturdays game there was a belief starting to return we must notdash that with defeat, go for a win by almeans but if it is 1-1 after 88 minutes take the point this time.

at that stage when he was posting he could have sold his shares for a damn sight more than he could now. He could have sold when KW or LM did and made a mint, but no he has kept them. I dont know him or his motives but his wording at the time was correct IMO.

but not is all about profit.Factor in the cost of advertising to such a wide audience and then the costs are not so bad.It would be hard to quantify how much the on air plusses the station earnt. Having a radio ststion filing the airwaves with Saints talk and propoganda was a great thing.i recall it advertising gamestickets and other saints business related things that in turn earned revenue.it also made us look an modern and go forward club.it is something that RL should not be criticised fore as it was a sensible idea that if we had stayed up would still be an asset we could have been proud of.As I put before if Pompey had done it first we would be spitting mad.

I dont think the 3 can work together.MW has taken a back seat and left RL to run things IMO.The problem is when you have people who are used to getting their way, when they have to take a different route they would have gone and so it gets diluted.RL I believe has come back and decided sink or swim to go his way ashe will get the blame anyway. If he fails then perhaps LC will get his way again and we will also be helpless to our fate.Running any business by committee is a nonsense, we have to have 1 person basically running things, but with a strong second in command who will keep things from getting out of hand, whether we have that is a different matter. -
Iam big and ugly enough to look after myself but I have found it distasteful how some have hunted in packs against some posters. It saddened me that we lost NavyRed due to the constant critiscism of the young players on here.he felt so upset that he stated he would not post on here again as it annoyed him so much.I suspect there are others who also have been lost. What we all forget at times ( Myself included) is that we dont know how old some of the posters are and perhaps we are berating kids who are posting their idealistic views. I do believe that some wish to post up negative posts for no good reason than to annoy or hurt the club, some do so as they really care. I myself try to stay positive but that is not how I aways feel

That is the bioggest Lol moment I have had on here for ages.If only you could see the irony of that post. Lllllllllllllllol

Well it depends really.Had GB had his whole tenure under RL no doubt the whole buying playing policy would have been different.I noticed when RL came back he complained that we had allowed Crainie, Blackstock to leave (not sure if he mentioned Mills). I may add that GB left us in a higher position in the league than we have been in 2 years and is now Scotlands manager. (whether he is right for that is another thing ,but professional people thought he was ) As for the sneering about the catering, what is wrong with supplying the customers good quality isnt that something that a lot whine on about? When that was said we were a PL club and had a thriving corporate business. The radio station was a great idea, having a radio station that was sending out the Saints message across the region even into enemy territory.I will tell you that if Pompey had their own radio station broadcasting into Southampton and we had never had the same , you lot would be on here saying why didnt RL spend a little of all that tv moey and do the same. The more i think about it the more I realise that all he did was not bad and so thank you for reminding me of those very good visionary ideas he instigated as well as the stadium the acadmy and alos getting rid of the free buses.

Gordon i just enjoyed you being a little uncomfortable and couldnt help myself. After all you came on so certain to back up the original claim and were very convincing as well.Just goes to show how we all can be wrong and that a wrong word in print can unfairly damage, which spookily enough is what the whole thread was about. As for your admission of perhaps making a mistake, i for 1 respect that, as you could have easily muddled on and not admit it. As for your wit , I must have missed that event. -
IT has returned, after proving that IT disappears when things are going wrong only to return when the results have turned. LOL I suppose it was a 12 week vacation Lol

That article was very perseptive. It would be best that fans who ran into the Wilde bunchs arms be more careful that they criticise his views. He spoke out of the fevered masses to warn about their perils.Much like the whistleblower re the banks, nobody listened and look what happened.
-
Ottery I read in the Ottery Saint Mary Observer that the local OneStop store keeps running out of tissues. perhaps it would be best that you stopped thinking of me 24/7
-
Laying flowers. Its not Brighton FFS. Im all for peaceful protests but this is all getting a bit lame.
-
Very true Steve. i myself doubt that there would be much of an increase anyway, not enough to prove it for certain.I still think that there is less than 500 who would be that principled to miss watching the team they adore. This site is a barometer, last week it was bedlam and dissatisfaction, saturday night onwards there has been much more calm.Saturday night if we lose then we will be back to last weeks fun and games. It is results that will be the make or break of it all.

Perhaps the stay awayers should all turn up and stand by the Ted Bates statue. A lot would not gto and pay to 'put money in RL's pocket.' Surely by just making the effort to go and stand by the Bates statue would asleast show fans like myself who are sceptical that there is a large swathe of fans staying away due to RL. I have yet to have had a proper reply to why 32000 turned up to watch the Man u game when RL was the chairman this season.Surely that tells us what we have always suspected a large amount of fans only can be bothered to turn up for glamour games or opposition, it has very little to do with who is in charge.
-
That is a good idea. It would have to be against one of the less glamourous fixtures (not that there are many glamourous ones) eg not against QPR who bring a good following.
-
fair enough you dont agree Phil. You believe that RL or another is solely to blame or are they all innocent?
-
To be fair to LM and LC I doubt that many people would know for certain. It would be common sense to realise that the money would not be paid, but knowing whether it is distributed out to the other clubs would not be so clear.
