Is that a point for me? Attendances will improve when the team gets more points. yes some will stay away until RL is gone and that is their right, but the majority of saints fans go to watch the team and so with an improvement then they will return. Not in 10's of 1000's but they will come back. We now have to keep the level of performance to keep them coming.

Also didnt he watch them when he was a boy?

Wotte is the new version of Pearson...

I assume it is 30/0 to me as I cant recall you winning any points. This is an ace by the way 40/0 Will attendances improve or decrease/stay the same. I would have thought it be reasonable to expect them to go up on the new feel good factor, whilst not fact YET i doubt there is anybody who would think they won't or do you think not?

NC i cant agree about JP having the majority votre. I myself and many others I believe went into it understanding it was what the club had to do. I was sceptical but supportive in that I felt and from what I knew we were in a corner trapped like rats and this was the best way out. RL kept Jan too long but he has proved me wrong on this occasion as I was anti the Wotte appointment as I had at that stage heard from people that he was not liked.I then heard how he conducted himself at the first team/staff get together and from then on I realised he had some thing about him.I sensed that he knew team spirit was paramount and he has strived to get that. I had a few cheap shots at me when i let it be known that the camp were united and up for it, but now they have shown it is the fact people have warmed a bit to Wotte. RL is prudent IMO and whilst i would love my club to be very pro active inthe transfer market i understand the need for prudence and so accept we can't

By splitting the sentence and so highlighting the fool part it gave the wrong slant to the meaning of the words i put. Im glad you are much older than me (giggle, all of 6 years) and will also have felt the disappointment of missing out on stadiums when the powers that be kept teasing us.It was also going to be situated by the heliport at one time as well.Im surprised you do not feel as pleased that we have a stadium to be proud of (the team at present is not, but for me it hasnt been since Nichols time) However you want to dress it up RL was part of the reason we got it. Perhaps the wording fool is offensive to some but it normally is warrented when i say it, on this occasion I will unreservedly withdraw it on this occasion. Are you going to state that attendances are not going to increase then?

I may at times think to myself I wish some would go to other sites but dont say it as i think it is good to read others views.I dont like some of which is said but i know the same is in reverse. I come from my own position but find it difficult to understand some who only seem happy in negativity. It is football 22 men kicking a bag of air for a living, it doesnt matter really if you really stand back and think about it.In fact it is ridiculous how we as adults let it get so important. How about we talk about the chairman of ICI and analyise what he has done wrong...not so interesting though is it?

Oh I forgot that because Gingeletiss has said it it must be right. I have put forward my thoughts and stand by them. I dont know how old you are but if you went through the 60-70-80's and listened to a stream of people promising the stadium and all it was came to nothing then perhaps you will understand why i am grateful that te new one was built.i dont know who was the main mover each side has their own version. All I know is RL was on watch when we got it, not LC or even John Corbett. I notice you edited my wording, so I have put it back in full. 'You see if you can't see any good you are a fool, because nobody is all bad and RL has been positive and negative' So dont turn the words and if you are also of the same mind that he has done all wrong you are also a fool. The attendances will rise when results improve whoever is in charge. Are you saying the attendances will fall? I have answred the same old nonsense you put out.Come back with a compelling arguement and i am willing to change, but if it is the same old mantra give your typing fingers a rest.

I dont think it was down to that per say. I myself did not like the way fans were trashing the young players who had due to circumstances were put into the 1st team. They were IMO giving it all and due to lack of experience and some poor tactics not getting the results they deserved. When they needed support and understanding some on this forum only wanted to criticise them.

Was Lowe a lot closer to being right than we give him credit for?
OldNick replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Staying up will be the acid test. The players out of contract will be offered lower ones IMO if we do avoid the drop. We will have to get some money in from somewhere to keep us going through the summer.Forget not that Saga BWP KD JE wages are paid 365 days a year not just the football season. Fans boycotting the s/t's will help towards somew of these players having to be sold/released. It will pain me if so, but i will do my bit by getting a s/t i just hope the majority see sense and also get theirs. If we go down i dont think there will be a problem as we will go into administration and the best will leave anyway. -
RL is not WHOLLY negative to the club. He has done some poor things but also some good things. The good things I'm grateful for the poor things make me want him gone. If we stay up and the performances stay as they are i myself see no reason for him to go. I wanted him gone for keeping Jan too long, if he has rectified that then I can live with it. My support if for SFC and anyone who I deem is trying to hurt it i will take issue with. When RL was going to get GH back i was very much against the man, when he kept Jan I was also. When he helped get the club a new staduium I was pleased with him, Wotte is providing some results im pleased, the financial mire is stabilising a little and so again i'm pleased. You see if you can't see any good you are a fool, because nobody is all bad and RL has been positive and negative. If I thought RL leaving would unite the fans then i would again be right behind it, but at the end of the day the only thing that unites the fans (in the main)is wins and I suspect the attendances will follow whoever is in charge. As i also stated earlier LC was very vocal in saying he woud replace Wotte if he came back, surely that could have been as big a mistake as RL getting rid of NP. But of course that will be glossed over.

Navyred I hope will find it in him to return.he like myself was disgusted how the young lads took the brunt of a lot of unfair criticism.

Kelvin is punching the ball more, perhaps the strength in his wrists are improving

I myself have to hold my hand up.I recall when Wotte was announced manager I put up a post saying it'was like swopping the village idiot for Baldrick' I was then told by some friends at the club how things had changed under him and how the morale had lifted. i then got behing Wotte and asked for fans to give him 5 games before judging. So far so good.It is not over but we have a start and a few smiles again. -
Fans like 1965 and Alpine are starting to get a little pannicky. There campaign to destabilise the club is coming off the rails and are now looking to try and turn it around in terms of saying what if. May i also point out that LC said if he came back he had a replacement lined up to take Wottes job. That could turn out the same mistake as RL getting rid of NP.

Saints away fans are great although i did not like it last night when on Radio Hants a caller phooned in from the game. There i was warm in the knowledge of a great win and avidly waiting to hear about the performance from somebody there and what did he talk about?? but RL !!! That was enough for me I listened to Wottes interview and went to bed.

lose pointsLOL Pompey would be in the Conference by now. I assume he asked the fans to quieten down when BT was about to take the penalty the other day. He is hypocritical and is too sensitive to be a footballer. I expect he will want flowers and candles around the touchline next
-
that explains a lot

nt anymore you dont
-
i dont think it is anymore than being part of the team. As i have said ther3e is a great spirit in the dressing room, something that has been missing for a long time.HR said in the relegation season that the dressing room was quiet. A good spitit in the dressing room ups the performance. Perhaps the mainly British spine of the team is starting to pay dividends.

OldNick replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
All in your opinion of course VK. I myself find it interesting seeing others viewpoints and debating with them if I believe they are being unfair or wrong. it has helped me in the past to see if in fact i have been wrong.Fortunately that has been very rare, Saga is probably the one thing I have been most wrong about. he has helped rejuvenate the team, that with Wotte changing the players mindset and good pros like KD PW JE geting the team fight there. Football is about opinions, sadly most of the opinions are about politics of a football club not the great game we love. -

Who is saying we are doing well.Iti s not me. The 15 players you mention I assume includes loans who have gone back and also players who were free agents and on the injury list. Size Perry Morgan Wotton Pearce (when here) have been very good.Robertson was part of a swap deal that didnt come off (he did score a goal that got us 3 points thankfully). Peckhart soon went from where he came.Forecast is a back up keeper. Holmes(injured) and Ryan Smith were free agents and so cost token amounts. Liptak looks useful to bring on when we are closing a game.Pulis was linked to the davies sale (turned out to be fine business) gasmi i have seen snippets of and doesnt look that good at present. As for ythe conjecture about keeping the staff from last season yes if we had Strern Rasiak from day 1 we may have more points but that is all perhaps and maybes. Do not compare Leicester in L1 to CCC or you may as well compare us and WBA or Man U.Different leagues, wait for next season and then lets judge NP how good he is.The fact as I see it is that he so very nearly took us down, and his main attribute was that many of the disbelievers of now were right behind him and so the fanbase were united. That was his main asset to my mind, LC could not have been that convinced or he would have signed him up well before RL came back in. Perhaps we had better not get points per game debates going either as they prove little -

He did buy neil mccann and so perhaps it wqas best he didnt have a big pot to spend. WGS lost his appetite after we lost Bridge. He became disenchanted and stated that , you just about get to the big clubs coattails and then they buy your best playrs and you are back to square 1. That was a major reason as he could see with a club like ours in the middle you are never going to compete against the top 4 and the CL money rolling in. He did not leave due to RL IMO
