Shock horror as player is tapped on the back! Could have killed him!
OldNick replied to TheH's topic in The Saints
How did McCarthy play btw -
How does VAR determine when the ball is actually kicked, and is it as soon as the ball leaves the foot ? If it is done manually by a human who draws the line when he thinks it is kicked can make a split second mistake and so the player is deemed offside.

100% when I played in a Football aid game he was our captain and in the team, he said sfa. His leadership was in his win mentality

So you think that SR are going to change course and ditch the buying youth to sell on, to all of a sudden buy seasoned pro's ? To clear out all the dross and coaches will cost a fortune we do not have. Especially with our income slashed dramatically. We will have a pool of players on fat contracts who few will want to buy. I recall Sunderland going down and being in a similar situation. We are totally done for, Gao was a far superior owner than this lot, whilst he couldnt send money to us due to the Chinese government, he let the club run without the mad professor ideas that SR brought. Many thought they were saviours but I with others (probably yourself) were sceptical. As for 'we won the transfer window' in the summer lol
-
He is nowhere near in this group. Redmond made as many assists as JWP last season, and at least scored now and again. He also did go into the box and try to make things happen
-
I know I shouldn't say this but sometimes I wish we had gone to the wall. The amount of angst this club gives me is to a stage where I kind of laugh in the faces of the club players and board. They dont care
-
I dont wish to knock him but Im more concerned if the people who thought he was PL standard and went for him are still selecting targets!!!! I just looked at our squad and so they are lol
-
Carr made a flick out at the opposing player who pushed him in the back, when he had a player absolutely mocking him/us he just looked at him and walked on. If he had lamped him at the time I'm sure the majority of fans would have made him a cult hero.
-
without a doubt, although we were heading that way with Ralph. Although Marche would have also done the same and the jury is out on Selles.
-
You forgot to mention Puel in that list. We can agree that Ralph needed to be gone as his team and performances were dire for more than just this season.
-
Salivating Lol. I will hold my hand up and say I thought we should give him a chance, but I did not want him in the first place. Iam a fair minded person and had the mindset that we had him and so best give him a chance. It has been a disaster but the recipe and ingredients had been mixed by your mate Ralph. Yes I do want us to be aggressive and tough to beat btw. I do want us to become a club where we dont give the opposition a garland of flowers as they arrive. I want them to fear coming to SMS, and they wither under the atmosphere of an Elland Road, Anfield, Goodison Park etc. I do want us to be aggressive in the tackle Use the dark arts, as we have been too nice for too long. Too many fans want us to be loved by other clubs and worry what they think of us. What people have to realise that they say nice things about us due to the fact we make their lives easy. We give their fans a wonderful experience, an end of the ground so that they dilute our home advantage.
-
We are SR's chemistry set to play with, sadly they had trouble opening the box let alone actually playing with it
-
You were intimating that Ralph had done well by keeping us up xx
-
That's if we can find form in the Championship!!!! Havent put any team to the sword this season
-
Relegation - What two teams do we take with us

Happened years ago when the were losing to Wimbledon last day. I think were 2 down but Dons keeper dived over the ball for their winner lol -
Im all for the black box and the info it spews out but you are at the mercy of who is in charge of the info. If they are a poor judge of a footballer they aren't going to get the calls right
-
It is all relative. I get what you meant, but typical of being a Saints fan we seem to have got a pauper billionaire lol 😃
-
Billionaire as in singular cannot afford to spend £126m out of that wealth, and may not be cash rich. If you have savings of £1000 and take £126 out of that for a hobby, whilst it doesn't cripple you, you are inhibited a tad. Especially a football club where yu are not likely to make a profit, especially how this gang run it!!!!
-
Are you saying that Ralph should have been kept on and the results from the last half of last season and the first half of this were ok? RH is part of our downfall, he oversaw the crumbling and poor results week on week.
-
In your humble opinion of course, lol.
-
I doubt this £126m has come out of Dragan's pocket as I dont believe he is massively wealthy. Therefore has this been put onto the clubs debt? If so it is alarming as our revenue stream is going to be reduced rapidly once we get relegated. Also if Dragan is not ultra rich can he keep bailing the club once this happens? Worrying times, and I still wonder if Martin Semmens regrets the choice of bidder for the club
-
Danny Ings! To think that we didnt think he would be an important signing in Jan
-
But the Euro super league would not be a case of them leaving our league. They want their cake and eat it, as they still want the PL riches. My understanding is that they would play in both and want the PL reduced in size
