Do you find it strange that all those that knew exactly what was going on because their next door neighbour's sisters, husbands, aunts, uncles, nephews cousin, one removed, son, from a previous relationship, happens to have heard we are going to Blah, blah blah. Or is it a fact that NC has told anybody that speaking to the press is a disciplinary offence. Especially regarding the press and anything that is commercially sensitive? I know it is with mine, and has been with all the companies I have worked for (and I know a lot of stuff that you don’t know about things that would send people in a rioting rage). And your conditions of contract probably do as well. I made a post once about the control of information mostly about RL than anything else and how releasing information that is totally wrong and misleading; (miss-information) is just as good as issuing a denial. The total lack of information is also a good way of controlling information so that, when you do release something, it’s is not only believed, but even if it is trivial, it is embraced. It also causes the media hungry to swallow up any piece of sheet so that it is easy to discredit them when they DO have a nugget that you don’t want under public scrutiny. So in conclusion: - Were 9 out of 10 ITKers full of sheet? - Are you happy with the immense reduction in information coming out of saints? - Shouldn’t the ITKers contacts under the previous regime have been sacked for breach of the terms of their contract? - Do you trust that the reason for controlling information from the club is a good thing, or a bad thing? - Are people who are getting upset ‘about NC doing this and not doing that’ are actually really just frustrated because, lets be honest, they and we HAVE NO IDEA what he and Alan Pardew are doing and not doing So, please stick that in your crack pipe and smoke it. God I am really struggling over how to answer this one but her goes: RL: Very arrogant and once he came back after being removed became worse, and turned into Caligula. I think I agree with what you have said and it goes back to the conversation i outlined above. The diificulty for people is that they are used to everything being done in the open and don't like being in the dark. Also some refuse to see the positive side to things and always come out with the negative. I think peple need to re-read my thread on an Insight to NC. It is best for the majority of us stakeholders to have a full time doctor. How disgusting is it that we only have apart time doctor. We are better than that so I am happy that WE get a better set up than others. WE have aspirations of being a Premiership club, Premiership cubs have fulll time doctors and decent training grounds, therefore that is what we shall have. Not when we get there, not next yearanmd next month,NOW. he current doctor was given the oportunity and turned it down as he was either happy in his regular practice, or he was earning a good wedge on top of his salary, and becoming a full time quack with us may not have been financially viable for him. I'm sorry but I would call this thread, NC looking to improve the club by looking for a full time one. The one we had was too greedy so he has dispensed with their services to bring on one who will be fully commit to the club, nt just to do it as a hobby for a bit of beer money.

I hgave got to be honest that now my eyes have been opened slightly regarding Marcus's and NC mindset that I can't see ML being ****ed of last season, and I don't believe that he would force the club to become fully self sufficient jjust yet, but that would be the ultimate plan, so I see this season as being one of consolidation and building for the future for the club, BUT also some strengthening of the areas we are lacking. I think the reason we don't know what is going on with transfers is purly because it's **** all to do with us UNTIL it's a done deal because my little Alpine darling, going around with a fist full of cash saying 'Who'll sell me a good player' means all the dirty agents coming out oft he wood work saying 'I've got a broken down young crock......I mean a potential Prem player. Personally I don't think he will appoint one. I think he sees himself as the business head, and AP as the footballing head, and there is no room for a third head in the stadium. At least not at the moment.

This is just another one of my Industry/SFC cross overs but I did find it interesting and may shed a little light on the workings of the corporate mind, perhaps? I wasn’t going to bother as it is another Cortese thread, but I though ‘F it, why not. There are plenty springing up about himall the time' I was a company awards and briefing day, you know the sort where a lot of people go within the company to pat themselves on the back for how well we are fdoiung, give out a few awards, then winge and upper management gives a speech containing various bit of management spin that go on for 30,000 that essentially means,’ People might lose their jobs, no pay rises, more work for less profit’ you know the thing. Any way, I get and award for some innovative activities that save 400k on a job, (whiuch means ½ goes straight into our Sky Rocket, but the tax payer gets ½ as well). Unlike most years when the award is given out by the MD, this time it’s given out by the CEO, the big cheese himself. So after the boring speeches I am smoozing around eating and drinking at the afters party, sorry social interaction event, when the CEO of the group, comes waddling over to me and my colleague and starts talking, congratulations , well done, etc and all I can think is that he has a really big head compared to his body, he doesn’t look like he does in the papers, and that I have underware older than him. Then he mentions a word that brings me back to earth: Southampton football club. Apparently he much admires what Corteze has done and would LOVE to do a job like that with Walsall FC. Not in the ML role, but in the NC role. He also remembers meeting him when NC was with Credit Suisse and my Man headed up a property investmentment group, at a jolly at the the newly opened Emirates Stadium, and remembers him because they were the youngest in the room, (Our man was only 36 when he became CEO). No quick returns for him, as he isn’t in that business. I interject at this point when he speaks about Marcus and quick returns, and he explains that for those used to creating something physical, Like Marcus, my colleagues and I, we are happy to be patient and watch it being build, as we have a linear idea of what goes where and we plan to avoid or deal with the problems as they arise. Whereas people who deal with the Metaphysical, such as he, (Marketing and Property) and NC(Banking), are used to dealing with Abstracts, therefore they have difficulty being in anything for the long haul and like and want instant returns. I tell him that we are all happy that Marcus has come in and saved us and that he has a five year plan to get us back in the premiership, but that we just missed out on promotion. His expression was that it probably hurt NC who wants to beat the 5 years, and we/he have failed to some extent, but Marcus knows in his mind where we should be and if he wants us in the PL in 5 years time, we haven’t failed unless we aren’t in the PL in 5 years. I also said about the public interface, and that maybe NC should meet with the fans a bit more, don’t he think, and let them know what’s happening a bit more.
