We get £75,000 prize money for beating MU so a win please.

Thanks Steve.

Needs updating and future game predictions added please.

I bumped into Adam Lallana's father at a function on Friday. Adam wants to remain at Saints and his father wants and fully expects him to, despite the January transfer window. He also confirmed Adam is unaware of any attempt to sell him or gain a pre transfer window contract agreement with any other team. So this fits in with what JP has said.

Saints Greatest XI - Nominations For Best CBs.

Such a difficult choice as we had some excellent ones over the years. My first reaction to this thread was McGrath and Gabriel in the long past, Svensson and Lundekvam in the modern era. But when push comes to shove Mark Wright and Dave Watson just shade it for me. -
Decent result but I am worried. If Lowe intends pursuing his youth policy, and it seems from many sources that is the case then he will not want to sell Lallana or Surman and quite right too. However, if he cannot offload at least 2 of John, Saganowski, Euell and Skacel (Rasiak is on a full year loan I believe) then he is going to have to look at our only other high earning saleable assett and that is Davis. That will leave us with and inexperienced and so far uninspiring Bialkowski and Forecast the rookie who is not yet, and by some accounts never will make the grade. It is Davis that is helping keeping the goals against down. So my fear is there for all to see.

I have just had a text. Webster did indeed leave after the Wolves game as I was told by one of my media friends just before the game.

Let's get this thread back on track, well onto a different track really Most of us would have seen the recent suggestion in the press that Pompey are up for sale for £1. That part needs no further comment. BUT I am hearing whispers from people close to the action that for that £1 you get £92m worth of debt!! And we thought we were in a mess!!!! It is understood that they have only paid a small part of Defoe's and Crouch's transfer fee and the next big installment is up in January and they don't have the money. The Sky money has already been spent on other projects Unless Gaydamak senior and junior put their hands in their pocket they will not be able to pay off the football debts let alone the others. So what will they do? Well the obvious way to extract themselves with the minumum of loss is to put the club into Administration. Will they beat us to it?
-
Steve, it should all be about delegation. Lowe is CEO but he has a football board to report to him on day to day football matters and coaches reporting to the footbal board. One of the worries about Lowe is that he is too involved downstream. Operations Managers take reports from Line Managers and line that up with data. Wilde and others on the football board are the Line Managers in a crude sort of way.
-
Funny really. The stay away fans who put nothing in want Administration. Those contributing to Saints want success. I know which camp I am in. I am not a supporter of Lowe. I can see his staying here is dividing the "support" I cannot see a better alternative at present, that is to say someone who would come in and pick up the debt etc.
-
There are many very influential supporters who have looked at this and are worried that Lowe can pick us up from Administration. It is a REAL possibility.
-
Sorry but that is pure speculation. If it is a "done deal" as others have reported how come (1) Lallana knows nothing about it (2) as a consequence has not had any discussions about terms (3) as a consequence has not signed a deal (4) as as consequence it is not a done deal As for someone coming the other way, that will increase the wage bill not reduce it. WE CANNOT AFFORD PREMIESHIP WAGES and the cash exchange will not help reduce our debt. It is a non event.
-
If we reach the playoffs then Lowe/Wilde will have been a success. I am not holding my breath as an attendee of matches.
-
Same thing...nothing although he was aware that Reading had made an approach before the last window closed but the club did not tell him his agent did.
-
It is a fanzine site. Pure guess work. Lallana and his agent have not been contacted by anyone.

I have no problem with Mr Lowe not attending away matches. He is the plc Chairman and CEO. His time should be spend dealing with plc matters as many have advocated. I would have expected Mr Wilde to be there as the football Chairman. However, if business or personal engagements precluded him attending who was sent to represent the football board? If no one, it is a poor show. Or is it normal in this league? Do we have representatives from the away club board at all our home games? I wonder if someone from the club would like to comment? Mr Wilde?

So Who Do You Think Will Be Sold & For How Much?
Weston Saint replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Selling our younger players will not solve the problem medium term. We may get a couple of million but their wages are insignificant so it only solves a short term cash crisis. Sell Rasiak, John, Saganowski and Dyer, all whom are on loan at present and you might collect a couple of a million but more significantly about £2m off the wage bill permanently. Lowe has hinted at continuing with youth. Whilst it is not certain, Lallana, Surman and Scheiderlin will stay I will be suprised if he tries to sell them at this stage. It will because no one wants the big wage earners above and they will continue to leech the goodness out of the club (but that is not their fault - they have a contract) -
Well actually we bought him a beer and lunch. As for being supporters of his, far from it. The man walked away from the meeting and told lies to Andrew Cowen. None of the SOS group trust him.

A fans view http://www.doctorkish.com/cgi-bin/clinic/display.pl?month=200811&date=20081122&time=2205 Well worth a read. Frankie Valley has been writing good stuff for a long while. Smacks of how I felt last season. -
