Administration is the ONLY way to break this downward spiral
Weston Saint replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Jobs may be lost in and out of the club, businesses may fail because of the lack of payment of their bills, and all because some selfish "supporters" want us cheat and go into Administration to get a person out of the club. -
Perhaps he knows the questions he will be asked but does not know the answers!!!! The other three members of the PLC board will be there including the plc Chairman. Could Wilde be sending a message he does not want to be involved anymore other than hold on to his 15%+ shares. Using an old football chant Mr Wilde, you don't know what your doing

Will Lowe use the AGM to announce the end of the "Dutch Experiment" and deflect some of the anger expected?

If we are in the bottom three at the end of the year we will likely never rise above the bar again this season. We just did not have a clue today.

Nick, I think you are a loan voice. He is just not up to it. It is not the fact he does nt score it is the manner of his game. He just does not have a clue at this level.

Holiday time!!!! The Saturday before Christmas is traditionally a poor attender throughout the leagues. Your hatred for Lowe is clouding your thoughts again

Rasiak signed May 2006 – 4 year deal Davis signed July 2006 – 3 year deal Wright Phillips signed July 2006 – 3 year deal Saganoski signs June 2007 – 3 year deal Surman signed July 2007 – 4 year deal Euell signed August 2007 – 2 year deal John signed August 2007 – 2 year deal Thomas signed August 2007- 3 year deal Dyer signs July 2008 – 3 year deal Lallana signs August 2008 – 3 year deal

Hate to disappoint but 1 - An unlikely senario. It would weaken Lowes hold and that is the last think he needs with so much opposition from other areas. 2 - Wilde and Crouch are even more unlikely bedfellows for reasons I will not go into. My tip is a lively AGM but the present status quo remaining for another year at least. Not a happy situation but without money, all we can expect.

Double negative there

Saints Greatest XI - Nominations For Best RM.
Weston Saint replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
Bearing in mind we are going to have a plethora of names for the best two forwards in the 4 2 2 I nominate Mike Channon as my right midfield. I often remembers him on the right side of the field -

Well as Ron Davies will be the obvious choice as centre forward it has to be Terry Paine. -
What was the full question? I assume he was responding to one rather than him instigating the "quote"?

As I said on another thread the article on the BBC about Drew was taken out of context It's just part of his recent interview on Solent where he said he was happy to stay at Saints and would love to play for them in the Premiership as he felt he was ready to play at that level. He was asked about the transfer rumours and he said he was aware of them but that it was all speculation and anyway it would depend on whether Saints wanted to sell him. Some of you on here will know where I obtained that information and the closeness of the source. I can add no more.

see post 32 above which followed enquiries I had made.

I now know the article on the BBC about Drew was taken out of context It's just part of his recent interview on Solent where he said he was happy to stay at Saints and would love to play for them in the Premiership as he felt he was ready to play at that level. He was asked about the transfer rumours and he said he was aware of them but that it was all speculation and anyway it would depend on whether Saints wanted to sell him. So there you go. Long Shot, my fiver is still safe

Drew has served Saints well and if he is now looking to further his career in the Premier then good luck to him. He is 22 now and the likelyhood of him ever doing so with Saints in the next few years is almost non existant. I have not heard he wants out but like any player he harbours ambition. He is an honest lad who loves Saints but appears to have now set down a marker. Anyone who points to Le Tessier must remember he played for us when we were in the Premier. He often said if we went down he would have to give serious consideration to moving on. Fortunately for us and him that never arose in his career.

I think it shows that Lowe is holding his nerve and the style of football we have been seeing this season will continue. Just hope he can teach the players to go forward more and take their chances. We are obviously creating them as we have had 157 on target before last night. That is an average of 7.5 a game and McGoldrick leads the division with 36 on target. We have only scored 19 of those! That is a 12% on target conversion. If you add the off target of 136 that is a down to 6.5% chance is converted.

Quite honestly from the start of the season, survival. Both financially and football wise. With a hope that such survival brings better times next season. I am still hopeful but with many of those same doubts still existing at present.

Certainly not the best football ever. Quality is better than the last few years yes but there is no cutting edge up front and our defending is as bad as ever. Attractive football will bring in the crowds but you need to win your games as well. We are well down the pecking order of Saints teams on that front
