An AGM date will be set when the accounts have been signed off by the Auditors. I would imagine we will know more in the next few weeks.

What will Lowes excuse be when Portvliet leaves "by mutual consent"?
Weston Saint replied to Mole's topic in The Saints
Possibly but not probable. This has to be my last comment for now. -

Not necessarily. There are plenty of twists and turns yet. All factions are confident in their own position. However only one holds the baton at present. -

They are unlikely to put us into Administration or concede defeat. -

Nope Lowe to continue in charge. -

Saints VS Bristol City - Build Up/Predictions
Weston Saint replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
One thing after last week, there is no need for the teams heads to drop if they go behind. There will be more belief now. That comeback might be worth much more than the 3 points we got on the day. Here's hoping -
Are we better off than when Crouch was here?

There are many ITK people posting on this forum but for the most part they only know one side. It can have its pitfalls and many have fallen in. Some have managed to climb back out but many have disappeared from this forum. A good ITK is now someone who has an ear of both sides (or 3 if you include the potential of Fulthorpe) and realises that there is no point posting information any more as matters can change so swiftly as to make that poster look a fool and open to ridicule. There have been and will be many more twists and turns in this long suffering saga but Lowe/Wilde hold the baton at present. That may or may not change in the near future. No one can predict or if they do, be certain of their prediction. That said, at least the ITK's make this forum interesting and worth revisiting on a regular basis -
When I previously asked my 'inside' source "does Lowe pick the team" he answered "probably" with a knowing look. I assume he was referring to these meetings and perhaps put a different slant on the influence. I have to add he is far from being anti Lowe. A weekly meeting appears to be to discuss who is available bearing in mind appearance money. That is not good but we are a hairs breadth away from Administration. Every penny counts.

SOS did no good. Nor did do any harm. It was a non event. It is history. It is unworthy of further comment in my opinion so I will not be returning to the subject. -
Hopefully I will be working the pavillion or hospitality at the Rose Bowl that day and getting paid to watch the game

If your source was Tom McLoughlin, treat it with caution. I too thought it might be LM & son but I am hearing different now.

When we came down we were beaten by Luton early in the season. Luton will shortly fall out of the league. This counteracts the Leeds (who failed to regain CCC staus and no guarantee this time round) and Hull story. Administration is not the answer.

I think I will keep out of this debate. Too many promises

Correct, there is lots going on from many fronts, just nothing concrete as usual. We are still bumping along the bottom but no reports of the resue sub being near yet. No reports of the abyss being sighted yet either

Just to clear things up, my information is that Lowe met the players the day before at the training ground. The "pop" into the dressing room was not where that discussion took place. I think some of what DdMcG said was misinterpretated or he misinterpretated the question.

If Morph reads this can he get in touch via my disposable email rontic04-tsw@yahoo.co.uk as someone he knows and reads this site wants to get in touch but you do not have a PM facility

Shame Frank and I never spotted you as we walked over. You could have given us a lift from Woolston to Weston to pick up Franks car!

Fair comment. The problem is that if you have a developing star who has broken into the first team because of his ability in one position and is succesful in that position why move him before he has fully developed. Surman's best position was and is central midfield. He is then moved out to the left and then left back. His form appears to deteriorate because he is out of position and the supporters start saying he is not the player he was. He in turn can see he is not being allowed to develop his undoubted skills and starts to think, "will I be better off somewhere else?" Same with Lallana, he wants to play regularly and appreciated he needs to be playing 40+ games for Saints to develop his talent. But if he is being put in a deeper midfield role as he was against Watford or left midfield as he was last night he is only going to tollorate that so much. For those that say a good player can play many roles well I agree but after they have developed there skills in the position that suites their abilities, not when they are still developing.

I have not been told that in so many words but look at JP comments about players/money etc and it is an obvious senario. Lowe influences team selection. I have no problem with him shipping out players for financial reasons. What I do now object to is not letting him choose from the whole squad of players on the books. We have players in the team who are just not good enough in this league at this stage in their career. The Coaches know it, the Players know it and the past Manager/Coaches knew it. It is damaging us more than our finances at present. It is a difficult balance but we are falling off the tightrope game after game. That means the balance is wrong imho.

It will not work. Trust me.
