What did Duncan (Fitzhugh Fella) say on Radio Hampshire?
Weston Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I spoke to Duncan on the telephone last night. He told me he had been on Radio Hampshire earlier in the evening expressing his concern over the present regime. I did not hear it myself. -
I can understand Long Shots depression but I want my team to win whatever the situation in the boardroom or changing room. Our problem is that we are playing too many inexperienced players but despite that we are still in the financial mire. For that reason alone I think Lowe has failed. Why have the accounts not been produced? Well for the Auditors to sign them off you need to be a going concern and have a working capital. Is that the reason for the delay? We all know the figures. They were disclosed in July so the loss of £6m is not the reason. How can the issue be addressed? Well Lowe will not go. His supporters will not desert him. So does Wilde holds the key? It is known he is worried about matters. He seems to spend very little time at the club. Who is controlling this club? Lowe is only around for 2 days a week. Will Wilde sell his 15%? It is very unlikely he will sell to Crouch or any of his known supporters or sympathisors. So we need a benefactor out there who can buy Mike out and make a difference. AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM. I think we are stuck with Lowe. I will continue to support the team. I cannot support Lowe or Wilde at this time.

And 3.8.82 Won 4-2 Kevin Keegan (2) Graham Baker and Steve Williams

Goalscorers Steve Williams (2) Graham Baker & Nick Holmes

JP & Wotte salary together is less than Pearson's was, I am told.
-
From one camp Pearson was on £360,000 a year. From another camp he was on £160,000 a year. Both camps have full access to details and have reconfirmed the figures recently (don't ask!) . Which one is correct? Only those camps know the truth. Not us supporters.

What really annoys me is this talk of Administration as if it is part of a game. Administration hurts good honest hard working people. It is not a game, it is a bloody disaster to those owed money. The club does not deserve to exist if it cannot pay off its debts and pay its way thereafter. Why should supporters have the benefit of Administration just because they do not like the Chairman. Get real people, it is only a game of football and the ones that get hurt are the suppliers and the employees not us who stand on the terraces or not every week.

An AGM date will be set when the accounts have been signed off by the Auditors. I would imagine we will know more in the next few weeks.

What will Lowes excuse be when Portvliet leaves "by mutual consent"?
Weston Saint replied to Mole's topic in The Saints
Possibly but not probable. This has to be my last comment for now. -

Not necessarily. There are plenty of twists and turns yet. All factions are confident in their own position. However only one holds the baton at present. -

They are unlikely to put us into Administration or concede defeat. -

Nope Lowe to continue in charge. -

It is looking increasingly unlikely Long Shot and Morph! -
Saints VS Bristol City - Build Up/Predictions
Weston Saint replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
One thing after last week, there is no need for the teams heads to drop if they go behind. There will be more belief now. That comeback might be worth much more than the 3 points we got on the day. Here's hoping -
Are we better off than when Crouch was here?
Weston Saint replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
There are many ITK people posting on this forum but for the most part they only know one side. It can have its pitfalls and many have fallen in. Some have managed to climb back out but many have disappeared from this forum. A good ITK is now someone who has an ear of both sides (or 3 if you include the potential of Fulthorpe) and realises that there is no point posting information any more as matters can change so swiftly as to make that poster look a fool and open to ridicule. There have been and will be many more twists and turns in this long suffering saga but Lowe/Wilde hold the baton at present. That may or may not change in the near future. No one can predict or if they do, be certain of their prediction. That said, at least the ITK's make this forum interesting and worth revisiting on a regular basis -
When I previously asked my 'inside' source "does Lowe pick the team" he answered "probably" with a knowing look. I assume he was referring to these meetings and perhaps put a different slant on the influence. I have to add he is far from being anti Lowe. A weekly meeting appears to be to discuss who is available bearing in mind appearance money. That is not good but we are a hairs breadth away from Administration. Every penny counts.

My post was 20th October Nick, not today!!!

Weston Saint replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
SOS did no good. Nor did do any harm. It was a non event. It is history. It is unworthy of further comment in my opinion so I will not be returning to the subject. -
Hopefully I will be working the pavillion or hospitality at the Rose Bowl that day and getting paid to watch the game

If your source was Tom McLoughlin, treat it with caution. I too thought it might be LM & son but I am hearing different now.

When we came down we were beaten by Luton early in the season. Luton will shortly fall out of the league. This counteracts the Leeds (who failed to regain CCC staus and no guarantee this time round) and Hull story. Administration is not the answer.

I think I will keep out of this debate. Too many promises

Correct, there is lots going on from many fronts, just nothing concrete as usual. We are still bumping along the bottom but no reports of the resue sub being near yet. No reports of the abyss being sighted yet either
