  1. Absolutely. I am not knocking what they are doing. Without their intervention on cost cutting we might already have sunk. And that is not to be taken as a dig against Crouch either.
  2. But they are not reducing there debt, they are increasing it and that suggests the bank will be asking them to find ways to get back on track. It will not come from increased revenue in sales of tickets or merchandise. It will have to come from player sales. More misery to come in the transfer window I am afraid.
  3. I was speaking to a friend on Friday and he asked me how the Fulthorpe bid was going and said he would buy £10,000 worth of shares on Monday to speculate. This was against my advice as I do not think the Fulthorpe thing will come to fruition. So it could be him and I would not read too much into it.
  4. These are total wages for SLH Wage costs y/e 2005 £27,805,000 Wage costs y/e 2006 £18,811,000 (13 months) Wage costs y/e 2007 £15,062,000
  5. Hi mate good to hear from you. I was 20 and my wife just 18 when we married much against the advice of our parents who never the less gave us all the support we could wish for when they realised we would go ahead in any event. We had been courting (old word I know but it was ok then) for exactly 3 years having been engaged for exactly 18 months. Have been happily married now for over 35 years with two girls aged 32 and 26. So it does work for some but as you will know you both have to work hard at it, be open and honest and share experiences. Sorry to all those who have tried but have not been so lucky.

I will let others judge Tris, not you.
  7. I have set up a temporary email rontic04-tsw@yahoo.co.uk for you to email me. I will delete the address after I hear from you. Don't put the information on that reply. When you email me I will reply on my main account asking for the information.
  8. My doctor saved my life back in 2000 so no complaint from me.

See my full comment on this thread Tris. And if you could go back to the original posting you will see I said I would advise Mr Wilde that it would all be on the record. So my promise on TSF to tell him that was true and carried out. However he made it clear that if we approached it on that basis their would be no chat as such. I made a decision and others on the SOS team agreed, not to breach a confidence. If you remember I always made it clear I would not breach a confidence. That is why some of you kicked up in the first place. I have always been consistant about that but as usual you twisted it to suit yourself.
  10. See mine above. Also Chelsea paid a big part of Le Saux's wages when he was with us.
  11. I thought exactly the same at the time. We did that with Quashie when he went to WBA.

I am not one to lie or try to cover up. There are some posters on here who know some of my other contacts and they know I get nothing from the Surmans other that about Drew himself. I also have substantial amount of information from other sources who have asked me not to disclose to the web. None of that is disclosed and I retain their trust. Remember the stick I took over the SOS episode when I refused to back down from a promise I made to MW not to disclose any of the conversation of that meeting. Anyway enough on the subject. This is my last post on this subject
  13. Isn't that what I said!!!
  14. OK Mortgaged to AVIVA then. Same thing really
  15. St Mary's is owned by Aviva. Much of Aviva's investment funds are in Government Bonds. It is that money that is being lent to the Banks. So AVIVA own part of the Government who own part of the Banks who own part of our debt. And as AVIVA is my pension provider and using my funds to buy Government Bonds I own part of SMS so 1976_Child you should be buying me a beer.

They might ask there contacts to ask me But what do I know? F all in reality.
  17. Funny that because, as I quoted on the Lallana thread, he and his agent are unaware he is being lined up to be sold. Cannot see where another player in the dressing room would know more than the player himself. As I have said on another thread the players are unaware of the boardroom politics. Are you sure it was not an opinion expressed? I spoke to Drew's father when the Reading interest came up. Initially he was unaware but it sems Reading did make contact with the club but they did not pass it on to Drew, he found out from another source. There is a worry that the club may need to sell both players but they want to stay here this season (at least) They are only interested in playing for Saints and are REAL Saints supporters but because of that if the club say they need to go for the good of the club future they will, reluctantly. That is the message I am getting from several good and trusted sources. As for Rudi I am unaware of the situation. Andrew Cowan has stated that he is not being stopped from playing because of appearance money. I suspect your contacts assumption that it is because he will not play left back is a fair one. My own suspicion is that they told him to move on, he did not because of his wage demands and Lowe has made sure he has been frozen out until he realises he needs to find a contract elsewhere at a salary another club are prepared to pay. I stress it is my opinion and not based on any information I have received.

Let me make it clear I have been friends with Andrew Surmans parents for more than 30 years but I do not get any information about the club internal politics from him. Drew does not talk about such things I am told. I do see his mum and dad most home matches and chat to them at half time. We spoke about Pearson last season and I understand Drew was happy with him. However both myself and his Dad were worried that the rantings on the touchline during games might dent the confidence of the younger players. No evidence of it though I am pleased to say. I am told by another source who was on the inside when Pearson was about that he was a good disciplinarian and did wonders for the Academy. He was not being paid anything like some suggest on here. His salary was no more than £3,000 a week. It was Pearsons idea to play Surman at left back and he was happy to play there if it meant being part of the team. Hope this clears a few things up. My comments on other threads regarding McGoldrick did not come from the Surmans. I have many good trusted friends with contacts in the club and dressing room. None of them are into the politics of the club and on any takeover matters usually ask me what the latest is on that subject. The players and coaches hear nothing on the subject.
  19. In view of the Fulham rumours on here I emailed a respected friend and Saints supporter who has contacts. He has spoken to Adams Agent who is unaware of any Fulham "deal", nor is Adam. He would like to know where this rumour came from so anyone like to PM me with a name? Clearly if it was a done deal Adam and his agent would have known. I am told Adam wants to play for Southampton. He sees his future development here and is happy with his 3 year contract. Hope this helps
  20. Tris, how come you have two posting names (Stanley). About time you forked up £5 rather than try to circumvent by multiple identities.
  21. What is that to you. You won't be going Tris and you want us in Administration!!!!
  22. I do not consider more than 250, 500 to be generous, are staying away because of Lowe so that will not be a consideration. The bank will not call the shots on who plays or is sold (although they will be the decision makers on money for signings). They will give an ultimatum of what cost reduction is necessary but will leave it to the plc to decide how it is achieved.
  23. I doubt the banks will withdraw their support but they WILL impose their will and the plc board will not be able to avoid action. The only difference being, in Administration anything of value will be sold to assist CLEARING the debt including the bank overdraft. If they continue to support but impose restrictions the Board will be able to make the decision what and who will be sold/cut/made redundant to stabilize the debt. That is why I do not think official Administration is at our door at this time.
  24. Unlikely at present G but a long term worry still. But that applies to many in the CCC
