  1. Tris, how come you have two posting names (Stanley). About time you forked up £5 rather than try to circumvent by multiple identities.
  2. What is that to you. You won't be going Tris and you want us in Administration!!!!
  3. I do not consider more than 250, 500 to be generous, are staying away because of Lowe so that will not be a consideration. The bank will not call the shots on who plays or is sold (although they will be the decision makers on money for signings). They will give an ultimatum of what cost reduction is necessary but will leave it to the plc to decide how it is achieved.
  4. I doubt the banks will withdraw their support but they WILL impose their will and the plc board will not be able to avoid action. The only difference being, in Administration anything of value will be sold to assist CLEARING the debt including the bank overdraft. If they continue to support but impose restrictions the Board will be able to make the decision what and who will be sold/cut/made redundant to stabilize the debt. That is why I do not think official Administration is at our door at this time.
  5. Unlikely at present G but a long term worry still. But that applies to many in the CCC
  6. I think it unlikely Lowe and Wilde would put any money in unless all shareholders did likewise and I mean ALL. My worry in these banking crisis times is that if our debt is increasing they will insist on further player sales in January to reduce the debt. It will not solve the long term debt problem but solve the short term one. Surman has already caught the eye of Reading. Rumours that Spurs and Fulham (I don't trust the Fulham one) are looking at Lallana. Davis is impressing. At least one of them will be at risk. None of them want to go. They want to play for Saints but they may have no choice in the matter. That is my worry.
  7. No mortgage - all paid off Reduced rate wil affect my cash savings and the state of the stock market is buggering up my investments. Pension safe though. That is the main thing for me.
  8. Nice one
  9. Looking at the trading statement issued to the stock market on 27th July there was a comment that the full unaudited figures would be available in 10 -12 weeks Tomorrow is 11 weeks on so they should be out soon. However what they will not show, unless they issue a further trading update, is what our debt is at present. We have not sold or shifted all the high earners we had hoped and gates have significantly reduced. Also we have seen no cash injection over that period from shareholders or other investors. I wonder our state at present? We must be in a bigger mess despite the dratic action taken so far! What next for SLHplc?
  10. LOL, either you are UTS or have been told that info by him. Some Lowe haters are stiring crap.
  11. I was not told who said it, just that McGoldrick had been told he wold be the main striker.
  12. Surely reserve games are for reserves and those coming back from injury. Is that not what Wotte is doing? As for the comment of hoping QPR field a few first team surely that is so our players can be tested against CCC players? As for Rudi, may be he is on international duty?
  13. So hands on hips with shoulders slumped watching the game go by at times as he definately did at times against Barnsley is not attitude. Come on get real! I set a challenge Nickh and anyone else. Take time out to watch McGoldrick next game. Focus on him for the whole game not just when he makes the odd fancy run or shot. I think the lad has a bit of talent. He is not using it wisely if at all at times. That is my last comment on the subject as I do not want to be negative going forward. I am actually enjoying the team football more than I have for the last few years. I enjoyed McG's contribution against Norwich for what it is worth.

I share some of Sundances views as he appreciates. To not go because of Lowe and Wilde, and Crouch before that is wrong and I would go as far as to say they are not supporters. To not go becasue the team is playing poorly or for social/economic/work reasons is perfectly acceptable although it is damaging the team as there is less money for strengthening etc. Snowballs is correct, Lowe has to earn respect and for many he has a long way to go and I am not going to get into that argument at present. Sundance, like GM and a few others (I am not saying they are all of the same style or opinion) are articulate characters with something to say and this forum will be poorer for their absence if that is what is decided by the Administartors or by themselves. There are many one line posters on here who add little to the debate. They are entitled to post just as much as Sundance and others. I just wish posters would put away there prejudices and debate issues. I also enjoy the cut and thrust of Wes Tenders postings. Like Sundances posts I agree with some but disagree with a lot as well. What I do find distastful is the back biting from both. There are others who I put into this catagory as well. Cut it out and this forum will be the better for it. In my opinion of course
  15. I think people need to read this thread again. All I said was that I was told was that McG had been told he would be the main striker. I have not inferred it was a contractural insert and nor did Derry or Um Pahars. Anyone who thinks any player has such a thing in the contract in any sport is deluding himself. This thread has gone off track from the original concept which is that McGoldrick is not performing as a team player in the position the Coach has asked him to play and his body language and approach is all wrong. Against Norwich I saw him play it correct and we were better as a team. Against Ipswich and Barnsley he did not. Although I did not see the Coventry game I understand he was the same poor self. With Perkard and Robinson available I would drop him and work on his attitude in training.

  17. Duncan Fletcher set to join Hampshire Cricinfo staff October 6, 2008 Former England coach Duncan Fletcher is poised to return to the game in an advisory role with Hampshire after the club confirmed they were in talks after appointing Giles White as team manager. "We are in discussion with Duncan Fletcher regarding a consultancy and advisory role with Hampshire," chairman Rod Bransgrove said. "The purpose of this role is to review the structure of our cricket department and to conduct an audit of our coaching methods and procedures throughout the entire player development process. " White took temporary charge of the team in the latter stages of season after Paul Terry stepped down and Hampshire found some impressive late-season form to finish third in the Championship. "It feels great. It's been a long six weeks and things have worked out well. I'm looking forward to doing it next year," White said. "For me to be able to have an influence on how it goes forward, I'm very excited about that." Bransgrove added: "Giles did a superb job as caretaker manager during the last couple of months of the season and the team has responded positively to his style and commitment. He has therefore earned the right take the position on a full-time basis and I am sure that all Hampshire supporters will wish him every success." © Cricinfo http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/england/content/current/story/372633.html
  18. By Simon Walter » FORMER England coach Duncan Fletcher will make a shock return to domestic cricket with Hampshire - in a part-time role. The 60-year-old will assist new Hampshire manager Giles White as a consultant, his first job for 18 months. Cape Town-based Fletcher has turned down offers to coach two South African provinces and an Indian Premier League franchise since his England career ended after the 2007 World Cup exit. But he was keen for Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove to know of his interest in the Rose Bowl vacancy soon after Paul Terry resigned as manager on August 11. Bransgrove flew out to see Fletcher and discuss his long-term plans for Hampshire last month and will end his two-month search for Terry’s replacement by confirming the appointment later today. Fletcher approved the signing of Dominic Cork and will provide the ideal sounding board for 36-year-old White, who oversaw Hampshire's nine-match unbeaten run in all cricket after being promoted from second XI coach to replace Terry as caretaker-manager. Former Sussex captain Chris Adams was in the frame but he and the rest of the other candidates were notified of Bransgrove’s decision at the end of last week. Bransgrove said: "We’ve had several high-quality applicants." http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/3729889.Duncan_Fletcher_taking_Hampshire_role/
  19. Happy Birthday youngster
  20. "We had a great start to the second half but then Southampton changed their shape and put us under a little bit of pressure, but it would have been a travesty had we got anything else but a win http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/7639364.stm
  21. The Sunday Telegraph understands that the 60-year-old Zimbabwean is close to accepting his first job since resigning from the England post after the World Cup in April 2007. It is understood that Fletcher will not be a direct replacement for departed first-team manager Paul Terry, who resigned six weeks before the end of last season, but instead might have an advisory role. Giles White, the second XI coach who oversaw Hampshire’s excellent late surge away from the first division relegation zone, is likely to replace Terry. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/cricket/counties/3137507/Duncan-Fletcher-set-to-return-to-England-for-Hampshire-job-Cricket.html
  22. Well I was told back in July that McG was told he would be our main striker. I was also told then which players would not figure and who would be sold and he was right on that too. Is Lowe having a influence in picking the team? Probably, is what I have been told.
  23. Nickh, I think you should listen to Derry when it comes to tactics, he is spot on with this one. I did not see last nights match as I was out late afternoon/all evening so I cannot comment on McG for that one but I have closely watched him over the other games and he does not play in position, reduces the passing option as a result, that caused a narrowing of play, opens up the wing for the opposition to attack, exposes the full back who tries to cover that area in McG's absence. He is lazy, selfish, does not track back enough and sulks way too much. He is becoming a liability and needs a kick up the backside.
  24. Yes he is a quiet man but deserves his appointment. Good to see promotion from within
