Hampshire Cricket close season updates
Weston Saint replied to Weston Saint's topic in General Sports
Neil McKenzie to return for 2012 T20 campaign and remain for the rest of the season for all forms of the game. Tim Rasencraft an up and coming opening bat has quit to look outside of cricket for employment. Bennie Howells it looking for another club and will also leave. http://www.rosebowlplc.com/news/neil-mckenzie-to-return-to-the-rose-bowl -
Here was a real Saints supporter who died in similar circumstances http://www.smile4wessex.org/index/our-history The Charity is doing good work but needs more donations. Last season Mr Cortese allowed a bucket collection outside of SMS and allowed us to use their offices to set it up on the day. Fantastic response from the supporters at all gates.

Whilst many will be suprised that Lallana is playing, our fit and available squad up front makes it necessary. From what I know of Adam, he will want to play every game and will relish leading the line or playing in the hole. I predict he will shine today.

Strengths: Davis is a great shot stopper and kicker. Up there with the best. Has a great presence behind the scenes as club captain and highly respected by players and coaches. Weaknesses: He does not command his area enough. He cannot hold a shot leading to too many follow up chances. He has a near post weakness. His distribution from the back is poor because he needs too much thinking time. Overall: Great servant for the club but as we move up the leagues, so we will need a keeper who has his strengths but not his weaknesses. Time for a new keeper from outside of the club. Too late for Davis to rectify his weaknesses. They are part of his make up and have been with him for years. Premier with Sunderland, admittedly with a very poor team, showed him for what he is.

Howard Scores for Everton - Saints Question
Weston Saint replied to Seaford Saint's topic in The Saints
Peter Shilton for Leicester against Saints -
I do not know if Lallana is still carrying an injury or not. Lke many in the team he seems to have suffered a drop in form. BJBSAINTS - Harding only had 2 assists last season as a regular and only 1 the previous season! Fox has already got 5 in half a season.
-
Did he have some command of the English Language????
-
One question - does he have a command of the English Language? If not he will take even more time than usual to settle in a new side let alone a new country
-
Could be, also sighted at Craven Cottage!
-
Seen at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea's ground!
-
OK, perhaps I was a bit harsh on your position regarding Lallana overall.
-
I accept that. He is an honest hard working lad from a good family. I suppose he is just as puzzled as the rest of us. I have no doubt he will come back stronger. A goal against Brighton will do him the world of good. I would not be happy seeing him dropped to the bench. He has too much to offer. I really would like to know who you are!
-
Just ignore. Don't waste your 3 posts a day on him. Windows has never had much nice to say about Lallana. However Adam has not played to his usual standard in the last few games which is puzzling!

Leeds just outside playoffs losing 1-0 to Barnsley Portsmouth holding Leicester 1-1 at half time Palcce go 1-0 up at Millwall putting them 7th

Saints 0 Bristol City 1 - Post Match Reactions
Weston Saint replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
It would be unfair to say we were poor. Bristol City worked us out, controlled the midfield by packing it, got their body in front of everything. They out thought us, out fought us and deserved what they got. Lallana was very poor. Worst game for seasons! I have been a supporter of Guly but he was so poor I would give him -1 Lambert did the best he could but was up against a very poor referee. Bloody hell was he one sided. Best defender BC had!!! Well done to De Ridder. -
Not sure they could have made it any clearer other than indicating the allocation was 150 rather than small allocation expected to sell quickly! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2555850,00.html

Guly does have his weaknesses, and many of them, but his goals and assists put him as one of the top strikers in the division. If his allround game was as good as his scoring/assist he would be playing for one of the top 5 and regularly featuring for Brazil. I would have him in my side every week. Something Adkins seems to agree with. Agree with Derry's comments above as well. Hoiveldt was majestic and as ever read the game very well. Schneiderlin had one of his best games and if he can continue in that mode week after week we will all be purring rather than frustrated criticism. Lallana has definately lost a bit in the last few weeks but he has class and his form will return. De Ridder gave us something different, the pace we lack when Chaplow is missing. Think he was trying too hard at times. Lambert held the line well and although he did not score following a great save in the first half his reputation went before him. An important cogg in todays win Palace looked a decent side lacking that final penetration but credit to our whole defence.

Cheers Rob. Wonder where that photo is now!!

Hi Si, will get in touch in the new year and work out a game when we can meet up. Might even be able to drag Ziggy off her sofa or the posh area. Happy Christmas Si and Kate and all the others who we used to get together with or exchange views
-
Ziggy, the question has to be....did you celebrate in the portsmouth home end when Saints scored! Enjoy your day tomorrow. Hope to meet up soon.

The "investigation" is the same that was carried out against us when our parent company went into Administration. Glad to see FL consistency.
-
January will see us trying to get a striker and a wide right player. Cannot see us adding any more than that. January is not the best time to inflate the squad. No word on who they might be but I understand Adkins has his targets.

The decision was made in a full council meeting. It is subject to, among other things, that Rosebowl plc can show they will be able to afford the rents and that they will have a long term viable business model.
