The reason he did not mention Lallana is he probably did not know. Adam went for a scan today on his groin injury. Probably not too bad. Adam did it in training and said he did not want to risk playing, making it worse and missing important games coming up against Cardiff, Birmingham and West Ham. The lad is showing a lot more maturity. In the past he would have tried to play.

What a shame some posters criticise other posters for puting something up without naming names or positions. The poster MLT is clearly not going to tell us it is the Goalkeeper position. That will give it all away. He is entitled to post his views. If you do not believe him don't reply. MLT, I thought your post was intriguing and in my opinion, in good faith. Better than some of the numpty posts on most threads.

It is Aviva if the article details are correct. I know that Aviva were being persuaded to accept a certain amount with a Premier bonus sweetner within certain period of time. It is definately not Barclays or any of the past Directors.

First I doubt very much we have had a £6m bid turned down. I doubt we have made a bid that high. Hooper has yet to gain any national first team recognition even as a possibility in the near future. Sure he is scoring goals and may be just want we want but £8m quoted in the press. You must be joking. If this guy is such hot property how come no other club have gone in with a bid? They will have seen the press reports of Saints interest! IF we have to pay £6m that is a lot of money. I know the owners/manager want to build for the future but we know they will not be held to ransom on price. As far as I am concerned this deal will not be made in this transfer window.

Are you sure the sound is not a fax machine. If someone has set the fax to redial if not sent it will continue to dial. The lady on the phone may have heard you as the fax tried to send and that might account for her confusion and realising it was the wrong number. Suspect, if I am right that will be the end of the calls.

Whilst many will be suprised that Lallana is playing, our fit and available squad up front makes it necessary. From what I know of Adam, he will want to play every game and will relish leading the line or playing in the hole. I predict he will shine today.

Strengths: Davis is a great shot stopper and kicker. Up there with the best. Has a great presence behind the scenes as club captain and highly respected by players and coaches. Weaknesses: He does not command his area enough. He cannot hold a shot leading to too many follow up chances. He has a near post weakness. His distribution from the back is poor because he needs too much thinking time. Overall: Great servant for the club but as we move up the leagues, so we will need a keeper who has his strengths but not his weaknesses. Time for a new keeper from outside of the club. Too late for Davis to rectify his weaknesses. They are part of his make up and have been with him for years. Premier with Sunderland, admittedly with a very poor team, showed him for what he is.
