Well I do think it is worth puting in a bid for the southern World Cup venue intread of Portsmouth. Their stadium is not built, and Pompey is now in jeapody, not us. We only need around an extra 5,000 capacity which is do-able.
It wouldn't be bad idea to increase the capacity to around 40,000 so that we can outbid Pompey for the World Cup venue.. That is do-able and Pompey is the club at risk of going under now.
Matt was there for us when the football world had us for dead and buried. He did his best to find someone who could try to put together a consortium to save the club. No-one else seemed interested. So it didn't work out. Its hardly surprising if he's feeling quite bruised from the experience (and the criticsm from some fans) but hey, he's got broad shoulders.
We need to show him our appreciation for his efforts.
We have now been saved.
Thanks Matt. You gave us hope when all was despair.
I will not forget that.
I suggest that we commission and bury a lead box that contains all the expletives and horrible phrases that have been really so bad and unbearable during our horrible history ever since our demotion from The Premiership.
And where should the box be buried where it cannot be resurrected?
First words to go into the box, Lowe and Wilde of course.
Further suggestions below.
It would be good if the new owner's plans could include bringing some of Liebherr's manufacturing to Southampton. We have a great engineering tradition, a waterside that needs developing and Liebherr's links with the port are strong. And the town's economy needs reviving as much as the club's. Makes sense.
