I can't remember when Chelsea last bought a player from us. We usually buy from them i.e. Romeu, Bertrand. Does that make Chelsea a Saints feeder club? Actually I would not be so annoyed if VVD went to Chelsea for the right fee. Certainly we should never sell any player to Liverpool or Klopp again.

Tapping up VVD in the first place has cost Saints his services at this present time. That is costing us, and has to be a good reason to sue Liverpool.

But surely, their apology is admission that they tapped up VVD.

Like. He needs to move for his own good. He won't build up his confidence and undoubted potential if he is fourth or fifth choice striker here. We don't have to demand a fee that is unlikely to be realised. But we can insist on a good sell-on clause. That could work for everyone. I wish him well.

A tough call, but I would actually prefer to end up lower in the league if we played more exciting football, that is scoring more- even if we concede more. As low as 9th.

Given till Christmas I think a lot of our better players will have walked faster if Puel were still to be here.
