Saw this gem of a shirt in The Guardian readers retro collection here. There (even in a black and white photo) you have bold claret and white stripes to be proud of! And great style. I love those collars and no nonsense roll-up sleeves! http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/gallery/2013/oct/03/retro-football-shirts-guardian-witness-assignment-gallery#/?picture=418855257&index=4 Bring it back! (The thought might make Nicola choke over his chianti though, bless him)

2-1 to Saints. Great crowd and atmosphere. Very competitive game but Saints better fitness wins out.
-
Great news for the hip flask mob. Bad for those for those around them, although they can at least request to be reseated. Worse news for those caught up in away games. Nothing worse than being sober among loudmouthed drunks at footie matches.
-
He clapped Saints fans as he came off and the crowd applauded him. Probably the last time he will play on our turf and a fitting finale, even though he hardly touched the ball during this game. Let's remember the goals he scored for us.
-
No. it's the prices that are too big for us. Will they ever learn? It will be interesting to see if this seasons takings are greater or smaller than last year.
-
Rifting - is this a new dance craze?
-
Simple. Prices go up. Attendances go down. Management need to take this on board when calculating next seasons prices.

1-0 Puncheon to score ohh But Ossie rescues us with a second half hat trick!
-
Perhaps he needs better service.

SFC has been praised for producing promising young players, but of equal note is the improvement in quality of our older footballers. Fonte is one of them.

Usain Bolt. Usain Bolt. The fastest pundit in the world!

Possession is poor - only 42% according to the Liverpool work experience lad who operates the BBC stats.

Wanyama should play in away games against the in-form top teams, when we might be glad to draw, and at home against the heavies like West Ham and Brom, but Cork always against teams that play intelligent, good fluent football. The Cork/Spiderman partnership was the envy of the Premiership and we must not throw this 'jewel in our crown' away. It all comes down to VW's erratic passing ability which can cause problems. If he plays, this match could be crucial to his career in the middle imo. 1-1
-
I would put VW out to train to pass accurately before allowing him back into the team.
-
So is it you that's responsible for letting off fireworks in grounds?
-
Wanyama in team when we are playing cloggers like West Ham and Brom, but Cork against teams that play football. VW's passing simply isn't good enough and the midfield with him in is not integrated. Cork and Spiderman bring out the best in each other.

..and a scuffle by the traffic lights

No problem about the weather,. We did ok at Norwich. Saints can cope with wind and rain and Sham will be slithering in the mud. The mindset must be right!
-
2-1 Saints because Nolan always muscles a goal against us, usually by dubious means.
-
I wonder if Nolan (or was it Noble) will continue with his effective tactic of crowding and backing our keeper over the goal line during corner kicks. I expect so since it was so effective against us at West Ham last year. A perfect tactic since the ref is unsighted.

Have you told Mauricio that he's made a booboo yet?
-
MoPo. can you please, please play Billy Sharp so that this thread can be ended?!
-
Couldn't agree more. There's always lots of talent in all the leagues and even in reserve teams that don't get the opportunities to develop their skills to their potential for one reason or another (like Sharp for example).

Some from each would be better ----------------------Boruc---------------------------- Clyne ---------Fonte-------Lovren------------Shaw ----------------Cork……Morgan………………… JWP……… .................SRL............……………Lallana ………………...............Osvaldo………………………………. Because Rickie's roaming, linking play in the hole with Ossie's speed and aggression upfront would scare the brown stuff out of Sham. And this is our best midfield and defence. Bench from: Ramires, Wanyama, Fox, Maya, Kelvin, JayRod
