  1. Surely you don't mean Harrison Reed, the saviour to all our problems?
  2. I think a key difference to last year is the defence (and by that, I don't just mean the back 4/5, I mean defensively as a team). During our pre Xmas slump last year we hardly scored any goals, but we were pretty solid at the back. This year, we are nowhere near as solid, which I guess you won't be when you lose Morgan, Toby and Clyne and have Wanyama t*ssing it off.
  3. Villa got to the final last year. Admittedly, they got trashed in the final, but they still got their.
  4. Maybe we should sell him in January too? A Long / JWP double deal?
  5. Biggest gripe is that he always seems to be on his heels and arrives to things just too late, whether that be tackles, shots, interceptions. When you have 0% pace, you need to be on your toes and anticipate things. He also looks very short on confidence, which isn't surprising given how much 'support' he gets.
  6. Maybe he was there to discuss a deal for Juan Quintero....
  7. Ok.
  8. From the fact Pelle was fouled, in the box, directly in front of the referee. Not giving the penalty was a mistake. I know you're heading up the 'back the ref' campaign on here, and of course it's a difficult job, but it is ok sometimes to admit that a ref has made an error.
  9. Surely the nature of the beast with 'creative' players is they are inconsistent. If they were consistent, then they would be playing for the best teams and way out of our price range. Arguably even our most dangerous player (Mane) is seriously inconsistent and he's being touted around for close to £40m. Really not sure what your fixation is with Tadic, though I agree we need more creativity in the team in general. What we could do with is a creative number 10 that isn't totally useless defensively (to step in instead of S Davis), but again I would suggest these types of players aren't easily available.
  10. Not giving us a stonewall penalty.
  11. I remember listening to Mark Halsey on the radio once, basically said that he/other refs used to make decisions based on who player involved was
  12. I'm sure Ronald said he had an ankle injury
  13. I wonder what odd's you could have got on Alps rearing his head once our unbeaten run had come to an end?

I remember watching Folly play in a friendly against Bayern Munich - thought he was excellent and we had a real prospect on our hands. That went well.
  15. A few people in our queue expected the turnstile to open by just having the ticket on them....
  16. Maybe Sturridge won't be playing on Sunday? Klopp: "We have to see day-by-day. If he can train tomorrow he's an option. He will have more treatment today because there is still some fluid on his knee. "I'm not sure in this moment if we will play two strikers on Sunday but it's an option for the future."
  17. Jorge Mendes did his job then
  18. Didn't Ron say that he lets Sammy do the team talk before they head out? And that he didn't really understand what he was saying, other than the swear words?
  19. Cracking tackle by Martina, ref's had one there. Nice header from Seager too
  20. 1) Improve the PA/Sound System 2) Employ people on the tills that can actually count / look as if they have had contact with other humans before 3) Sack the helmet with the Mic 4) Improve the surrounding areas (bars/restaurants, more bridges to get out) 5) Reduce ticket prices
  21. I think it's a cross between jeans and leggings.
  22. Agree, this is mine main criticism. If we signed Cedric as a 'one for the future' type of signing, then surely we needed someone better than Martina who can play there now. Instead, both of them are on the bench and we're playing CB and RB against one of the better teams in the league. Maybe we really thought Clyne was staying and got caught cold when he left, but there was still plenty of time to get someone in. A lot of our good play from last season came from the full backs and you can tell how much we've missed Bertrand (and Clyne) from both an attacking and defensive perspective so far. On a separate note, and not knocking him, but I'd be interested to see what Stekelenberg's shot's to save ratio is? Must be on par with Gazzanigga's during his run in the team when Boruc was injured!
