Fair point, though both were offered deals before the takeover. I suspect they saw McCarthy as a cheap option to keep on the books and hope to have a new number 1 (a role Fraser didn’t want, which is why he’s off). You’re right though, if McCarthy is number one come first game of next season that is abject failure.

Well he’s made the changes most have wanted - Tino out for Perraud, 5 at the back, reinforced the midfield. Salisu can’t really complain either about being dropped.

I’d say Niemi’s only weakness was crosses, never really came for any. However, when you are as good a shot stopper as he was, he didn’t really need to. Plus Killer and Claus knew that so headed everything anyway

10 of the team pick themselves. Torn between Perraud and Tino - 50/50 for me. Quite like KWP’s attacking threat down the left, feel Perraud doesn’t offer as much going forward but is better than Tino defensively. You’d hope at home to Norwich that we’d be dominating, so could see Ralph going KWP and Tino. But would be incredibly harsh on Perraud! Might be a moot point anyway if Perraud is still positive.
