  1. Monk - take it from me that the Chelsea foundation guys are doing a great job here in Southsea. My 5yo lad goes to an after school club every week and for full-days when the school is off for teacher training. Really nice guys, all the kids love it and if Chelsea weren't doing it the kids wouldn't be getting any football at all due to the incompetence of Pompey.
  2. Another go at this thread, great.
  3. Is there a point to this thread or is it just to laugh or moan about gypsies? Great thread.
  4. to be classed as u21 for the coming u21 championship players needed to be aged under 21 at the start of the calendar year in which a two-year European Under-21 Football Championship campaign begins. So a player turning 21 in January 2011 could play for the u21s but would be 18months too old for the study being discussed here.
  5. Indeed, what would be really interesting is if the bonking couple weren't Coulson and Brooks and were even closer to Cameron.
  6. I would never have thought that being a mod paid so well. Time to review the subscription fees I think,
  7. Same here. Got the Dortmund one as I've not only been to the stadium but also the athletics track next door.
  8. Bit of a non-story. If you work for a company with a uniform or dress code then you have to play by their rules. If you don't want to then that's your choice but then don't complain when they suspend/fire you. Companies like Morrison have thousands of uniformed employees across load of sites and have to draw the line somewhere.
  9. Always best to provide the full picture but a lot of people can't be bothered and instead want to feel outraged by things that didn't actually happen. Facebook posting - "pregnant woman arrested for carrying Union Jack" when it was quite a bit different:
  10. Who said? the BBC won't have someone there just to count people. They will simply quote the Police.
  11. Very British of the mosque to offer tea and biscuits to the "demonstrators".
  12. Surprise not to see Germany in the top 10 given how well their economy is going well. The UK at ten is also a bit surprising as so many seem to think "it's all gone to the dogs".....
  13. For many though it is just an excuse for a tear up. There were scuffles yesterday at the Portsmouth mosque yet the Muslim population here is tiny.
  14. Just listened on the 5live, amazing atmosphere.
  15. Harvey - I'm an apologist for what now?
  16. Haha, good job no one takes the internet seriously!
  17. i take it it is not the muslamic ray guns interview?
  18. Yes thanks, lived and worked abroad for most of my life. I'm not calling everyone a **** just some of the predictable idiots on here.
  19. Well done for you, I suggest you set about the rest of black America and we can put this all to bed.
  20. Please don't tell me that as well as being a "little bit racist" c;nt that you're also a "get wound up by PC c;nts" c;nt? I'm not at all offended by Fried Chicken comments, just pointing out why some people would get offended. If you can find any references on the internet to Paella or Pizza being well known racist slurs against Spaniards or Italians then I'll happily take it back. None of you "little bit racist" c;nts on here would dream of cracking a fried chicken gag to a black American bloke, that speaks volumes.
  21. Yep, you're one of those "little bit racist" c
  22. All of you d1ckheads that can't seem to grasp that African-Americans find "jokes" about fried chicken offensive should spend some time in the US and see how your humour goes down. You can also try throwing bananas at black people in the street in case they're hungry and jokingly call any Asians you meet "paki". These threads crop up now and again. No matter that millions of Americans find such a remark offensive and millions more who are aware of its significance, you will find several poster who maintain that they know better. It would be less tiresome if people would just admit they were a bit racist and found remarks to be perfectly accepTable rather than go on a boring meandering journey of feigning ignorance and offering lame comparisons "would it be racist if I mentioned paella to a Spaniard" etc etc.
  23. If you were in say Atlanta would you be ready to joke with a couple of random black guys about them being fried chicken eaters? Go on, answer. It's not offensive to you but then I doubt you're a black man living in the USA. The racist connotation is clear - the slur being that black people in the south are too poor/uneducation/unsophisticated to have interest in anything but their next portion of fried chicken.
  24. He's spent a lot of time there and has a lot of American friends. he could easily said pizza/hash browns/burgers/apple pie but he didn't.
