I think the end of the season is when the league have their AGM in June.
-
think the phrase is "owned".

Surely spending has been cut in 'real terms'

or Phillip Lahm...

Oracle Saint that some of the biggest horse **** I've read for ages. Which sh1te tea party site did you rip that off?
-
Well it partly depends on your definition of "world class". I've generally considered it to be one of the top five or so players in your position. I'd say Ashley Cole has been that consistently over the last decade.

Interesting how this will play out electorally with heartland tories. This is a bonus for low earners but the top-rate band has been lowered hitting middle classes who presumably the Tories see as their target market. Meanwhile the 50% rate has been reduced to 45%.....

it's not rubbish at all. you oldies are always moaning that things have gone down hill so we're not even inheriting something that's as good as it was. The pensions of people now retired are being funded by current tax payers - the tax and contributions paid by those retirees has been spent already and wasn't enough anyway - but those deals are no longer available. Current tax payers will pay for their elders and themselves. edit - not forgetting that the retirement age has also increased and will likely increase further in the future.

Statistics show we are as safe as Man U...

If I gave you £1m and said you can put it on either WHU or MU to stay up on exactly the same odds which one would you put it on? -
Statistics show we are as safe as Man U...
anothersaintinsouthsea replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
he really isn't. the fact that bookies will give you odds on Wet Spam being relegated but not Man U proves it. FWIW I don't think anyone thinks that Wet Spam will go down but there is still a small possibility that they can. -
The trouble is whenever you hear about pensioners you immediately conjure up images of some old WW2 veteran with a walking stick or a decrept old dear with a zimmer. But there is now a very large number of those in their 60s and early 70s who are in good health - physically and financially. My father-in-law has just retired on a very nice final salary pension (no longer open to new joiners....) and was telling me of all the discounts he gets - free bus pass, reduced leisure centre etc. All subsidised but younger people.

March 30 Chelsea (H) Loss April 6: Reading (A) Draw April 13: West Ham (H) Win April 20: Swansea (A) Loss April 27: West Brom (H) Draw May 4: Tottenham (A) Loss May 12: Sunderland (A) Draw May 19: Stoke (H) Win Cautious view, gives us another 9 pts which should do it Worth noting that Wigan play Villa on the last day. If you assume that QPR and Reading are definites to go down then we only need to be one point and GD better off than both Villa and Wigan to avoid a last day drop.

If West Ham are indeed 100% safe then CB Fry would happily offer all of us idiots a bet on the propect of relegation? Let's say a tenner each at 1000/1? -
The thing about the story of the Emperor's New Clothes is that eventually he does get found out.

Morgan Schneiderlin - season stats
anothersaintinsouthsea replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
Fair point but would you swap him for one of Rodwell/Henderson/Allen/Barry? how much did they go for? edit: just re-read your post, not disagreeing with you -
in a nutshell. what an almighty f(ck up.

Argentina upping the ante on the Falklands....
anothersaintinsouthsea replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Lounge
I'm not sure what point your trying to make Pap that because the Falklands are so far away they can't know what it is to be British?! How far do you take this? Do you think that culturally and lifestyle wise that those in the Western Isles have much in common with those in Toxteth? Do muslims in urban Lancashire have a common experience with sheep farmers in rural Wales? But aren't they all British? -
Morgan Schneiderlin - season stats
anothersaintinsouthsea replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
The goals and chances stats are the most impressive thing for me. We all knew he was a good player but his attacking impact has been a huge step up from previous seasons and in a tougher league too. -
interesting the difference there between us and Sunderland. Can't believe they're even offering odds on Wet Spam........

Remaining Fixtures for bottom teams...

West Ham staying up is as certain as Man U winning the title.... -
Correct about the sending off but it was to the keepers bottom right,
-
Agreed plus, while 99.99% of people would agreed that today's incident was a straight red, most controversial decisions are really subjective so having a video replay doesn't actually convince everyone that the right call was made

Yes, the T45s. China and India are a decade or two at least away from a ship like this

I think the point is that generally people find it difficult to abstinate (just ask Cardinal O'Brien!) and so will have sex but the Church restrict access to condoms and so they have unprotected sex.
