  1. You're either thick or a troll or both. Have all of the witnesses been heard? No. So SOME of the witnesses didn't hear racist language but not "The witnesses". The key witness (Brooks) who was with Lawrence at the first contact with the gang says that the n-word was said by one of the gang. The witness who has spoken in court today was a different person. When Lawrence and Brooks first made contact with the gang they weren't actually at the bus-stop. The witness who spoke in court and didn't hear anything wasn't in earshot or sight of the initial contact. The link I posted to the public inquiry finding the attack to be racially motivated wasn't done in my imagination but on this forum, it's a few posts up the page, why don't you have a click and educate yourself for once.
  2. To be fair to you it was quite a while ago and the media do have a habit of reporting some things as though they are facts when in reality it's just a consensus amonnst fellow hacks.
  3. Mr Open-Minded still ignoring that it has already been deemed a racially motivated attack in court.
  4. FFS, the man who criticises others for being close minded is ignoring the FACT that a public inquiry has already established as FACT that it was a racist attack and racist language WAS heard just not by everyone who witness some aspect of the crime. At the risk of sounding like Rafa Benitez - these are the facts. Only you could go off at a tangent, in a debate centred on the Stephen Lawrence murder, into a point about put upon against white people.
  5. No not media propaganda, a fact established in court in 1997.
  6. You're the one that always comes out with the labels. Why don't you do some research and add something to the "debate" then? you're so closed to what you don't want to hear it's untrue. See the post I've made a few minutes ago - it was established as a racist attack in 1997 in court. Will you now concede it was a racist attack?
  7. IN any case I doubt whether it being racist or not will be contested in court. Both defendents, I imagine, will say that neither of them were involved in any form with the gang that did the murder that night so whether or not the n'word was used is irrelevant to their defence. Anyway the jurors who sat at the inquest to his death concluded that the murder was racially motivated. Not the Liberal Elite Dune, but jurors sitting in an English court. It has therefore already been established and is therefore FACT. http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/february/14/newsid_2723000/2723721.stm
  8. I'm glad you think I'm both Liberal and elite. I think you're a racist thicko.
  9. Brooks, who was with Lawrence said they used the "n-word". The witness you mentioned saw the attack but hadn't seen the initial contact - both Lawrence and Brooks had wandered down the road to a corner to see if they could see the bus they were waiting for and then coming running back to the bus stop.
  10. Pathetic even by your standards. There is a lot to debate about this murder - the police reaction, the judicial process etc but this isn't up for debate. Only a tit like you could try and make out that the murder of a black teenager minding his own business at a bus stop who was set upon by a gang of white youths - one of who called him the n-word - might not be a racially motivated attack. You really are a cretin.
  11. good post Shurlock.
  12. That toilet bowl one is hilarious. I know the setting pretty well and judging by the size of nearby sites it would give you a pitch the size of a tennis court, the scale is completely off. There was never a hope in hell of squeezing a full size pitch, stands for a 30k capacity AND apartments encircling the stadium in the space they're showing the toilet bowl. Absolutely hilarious. And yet Corp Ho told us it all stacked up
  13. One of the assailants was heard to use the "n-word" just before he attacked Stephen Lawrence.
  14. All well and good that they have to "earn their benefits" but they should only be doing an amount of work equivalent to the minimum wage.
  15. Just a quick point of clarification - an earlier trial (brought by the Crown) of these men never actually took place. They were charged but charges were dropped as the CPS thought the evidence was insufficient. A private prosecution was launched but failed and then a public inquiry took place which was the one which the 'suspects' has to walk past the angry protesters. All of this publicity led to the view that a subsequent trial couldn't be fair. Obviously new evidence has emerged which has led the authorities to think that a new trial is possible.
  16. All that English jingoism and flag-waving must be really annoying in Austria. Likewise it must be hard for you and everyone else living in Austria to put up with the nauseous Sun headlines that you can only see if you especially log on to the internet or seek out the paper from an international stand at a city centre newsagents. England fans, when you contemplate donning an England shirt or going to the pub to watch England this summer in the Euros, just spare a thought for everyone in Austria and try not to offend them. Yes, people do care. So much so that nearly 90,000 turned out to watch England against Spain (was there a higher crowd for any other match in the world this weekend?) and millions will tune to watch each of their 3 matches in the Euros this coming summer.
  17. You get the impression that some people watch shoot-em-ups on TV and the movies and somehow think they themselves could get involved. You really have to question the intelligence of someone who's just seen him mate get shot holding a gun to then reach over to pick up the same gun.
  18. Can't believe I missed that off, yep huge Tescos at North Harbour.
  19. Not to mention a pretty saturated Apartment market in Portsmouth even before the credit crunch, the need to relocate the Warrior and the needed approval from the Queens Harbour Master/Royal Navy, the need to relocate the bus station and accommadation of the rail station and Fast Cat/Gosport ferry. ******* barmy.
  20. You can add a brand new Morrisons being built at the bottom of the M275 near the Naval Base/Ferryport, the small Sainsburys at the top of Commercial Road, the big Sainsburys in Farlington, the small Tescos in Southsea, the big Asda in Bedhampton, and the fact that Tescos have just opened two new big sites at Havant and Fareham. I really can't see Tescos spending millions on another site which wouldn't actually be that big. Now if the club was to fold and the whole site was developed as residential/retail mix then maybe they would
  21. Similar results to a few on here, lower than average for everything, mainly lower in 'desire to punish'.
  22. You're a real intellectual aren't you!
  23. You're right I've lost count the number of times I've been forced to eat Halal meat and go to Mosque on a Friday. Apparently Christmas has been cancelled by my local council but we've been told we can celebrate Divali. Also I'm looking at schools for my son to attend from next Autumn and can't find any that do lessons in English. It's madness.
  24. Not if those coming in are loans
  25. Just for clarity have Tescos actually said that they will contribute multi-millions to a new stadium development or is this just the internet rumour mill? Out of interest is that a Fratton redevelopment they'd be interested in? Re: the Toilet bowl. I don't remember you saying it would go ahead but I do remember you saying that it was totally feasible and the sums stacked up. It blatantly wasn't feasible and the finances blatantly didn't stack up.
