  1. ****s sake, not our day today. game over.
  2. not getting the rub of the green at the moment, Spiderman's shot hit the keeper on the arse!
  3. ********, un done by route 1
  4. Could say the same about Lambert!
  5. Oh come on you tease, spill the beans or at least give us a clue.
  6. Yep, there is plenty of footage on the News website. Can clearly see kicks to the head whilst on the ground etc - much worse than any footage I saw from our derby match last season.
  7. lol at Dalek.
  8. This is just a journo doing a join the dots gossip snippet: Luke Shaw looked good for England youth, Arsenal signed Theo and AOC, therefore Arsenal are after Luke Shaw.
  9. Windass thinks Lambert should've scored - "a miss"
  10. It really is a load of crap. A game based purely on chance played by idiots who are convinced that they have a system to beat the pantomime villlain banker in reality is just some bloke sat with a spreadsheet working out the offer based on probabilities.
  11. Cotterill is the gift that keeps on giving. Lacks professionalism and blames everything and everyone for Pompey's problems. Just the sort of thick failure that somehow keeps on getting jobs in football. Hope Pompey can't afford to replace him.
  12. Who are these decent NPC teams you type of? Other than Leeds and west ham I doubt any will be that far above us, particularly when you remember that our average away journey is a lot longer than most.
  13. Funny that, I'm considering Obertauern for a family skiing holiday this Feb/Easter. Other places I was thinking of were Kuhtai and Serfaus - any views on these? Have been to Solden, Stubai and Kaprun before but was looking for something more family friendly.
  14. f' me, can't believe the cost of posting a letter these days. talk about inflation.....
  15. Can't believe some people have put Diana being killed. 1. 9/11 2. Invasion of Iraq 3. Berlin Wall coming down & end of cold war 4. Release of Mandela and end of Apartheid 5. SE Asia tsunami
  16. The difference with rugby is that territory is everything. Teams can spend phase after phase, minutes on end failing to get a few metres closer to the opposition try line. To get pegged back ten metres because of back chat is a real blow. There's no equivalent in football. The other advantage of rugby is that players aren't powerful stars like there are in football. If edge gave a yellow everytime someone talked back it would soon stop but the authorities will never be brave enough and the media (especially old school pundits) will just moan and moan.
  17. IMO a gash player. Not a good scoring record which, when you consider that he makes someone like Defoe look like an unselfish team player, is pretty telling.
  18. I'll pretty much second all of that. Went there myself for my stag do in 2005 and had a great time. Reeperbahn is great fun with a real mix of bars, clubs, sleaze and uber-sleaze. My main 'tip' if you like is to try not to do the classic Brit abroad tactic of going out on the **** too early. In places like Hamburg people don't go out til late, if you go out early it'll seem dead and you'll be wasted by the time it really gets going --> Do something during the day, chill out late afternoon/early evening, go for something to eat around 8/9, get on the beers after that.
  19. there was quite a heated discussion a while back in which someone opined that Torres wouldn't be a success in League 1. He was rediculed but now I'm not so sure
  20. I'm in my early 30s and fuly expect to be working until I'm 70 odd. This change has come far too late, for me it's not party political or reflection of priorities, it just reflects basic realities - people are living longer than they were when the age limits were originally set.
  21. Impossible to see from that footage as to how much contact there was but they way he went down looked very dubious. Even if Davis had touched would it have been enough to take BOTH legs from underneath him and lead to him collapsing to the ground? I doubt it. McClaren has one of those inane grins and a face you just want to slap.
  22. Thedelldays is a Lib Dem but isn't allowed to be a member in case he's asked to nuke their HQ
  23. That's got little to do with 99.9% of the eateries that most people go to. Anyway in comparison to some of the above comments. I'm not saying that Milan is a better place to visit that Turin for example (I've not been there) but I did enjoy my weekend in Milan. Had a great pizza in a local's pizza place that was recommended in the rough guide.
  24. my two older brothers both work in the public sector in London, neither has ever mentioned racism in the workplace... not sure the claim that racism against whites is rife is that accurate.
