As one of the elite I am placated. Dune you've not yet given an example of a film based on historical events that is 100% faithful to the facts. You may not know but the Matrix is actually a fictional story. -

What a cock. -
Yes, they should attract the same duty as other vehicles in lowest emission banding - £0.

lol, too true. I thought the point of "front men" was to use someone bland and uncontroversial as the public face. I doubt anyone would use two burly Russians with alleged links in their past to money laundering and the mafia.

Look I've never been, I'm just pointing out what his argument was which you didn't seem to get in the post I quoted.
-
There's little point debating this. It will never happen, too many people are just too scared, hysterical and well, thick, to have even have a rational debate about the pros and cons of decriminalising drugs. "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Despite the hundreds and hundreds of billions spent on 'the war on drugs', despite the thousands of dealers and police killed, the millions of addicts and the countless crimes committed to fund users' habits around the world we still get politicians and voters choosing to keep on fighting the war. mental.

He said you couldn't claim it was a ****hole because of drugs, not that you couldn't claim it was a ****hole.
-
both.

One of Lowe's problems was that while we had a wage cap which was sensible we still acumulated a massive and very mediocre squad. We could have had half the squad size and paid bigger wages for the same overall cost.

He used it in a direct quotation. Anyway as I said it's not a term I'd use to describe someone. As an aside you do realise that you sound like a right idiot when you parrot your "Liberal Elite" and "Superior Socialist" lines don't you? For one thing, as someone who considers themselves to be a Liberal minded person thanks for confirming that I'm elite, secondly liberal and socialist are very different concepts. You're not on Fox News.

'Mongrel' isn't a term I'd use to describe someone, I think in a general context it's a fair enough term to use but it does have a negative connotation. Having said that it is a bit rich that the "PC gone mad" brigade like Dune are moaning about it. Edit - to be fair to badgerx16 he was taking a direct quotation from the linked article.

The reporting from the News is always very pro-Pompey. It seems their stance is to be the club's chief cheer leader no matter what - bit of contrast to the Echo and Saints. All this talk of Norris - am I missing something here? Is Norris supposed to be one of the best players in the Championship - why do they want to give him so much money?
-
Not tasted it yet but assumed it would be along the lines of the lager - overpriced ****.
-
To be fair there is quite a difference between talking about God and "Following the consultation, the patient’s mother complained that the doctor had abused his position by “pushing religion” on her son."

Good question, not easily answered. I'm a fairly literal atheist in that I have an absence of belief. I believe in the 'big bang' but can't understand what could have caused the big bang or get my head around what went before it. But I'm fairly comfortable with not knowing, plenty of bigger brains have gone before mine not fully understanding our universe and it's certainly doesn't strenghten the idea of God - if something created the big bang then similarly something must have created God.
-
Lol, I'm completely open minded. As an atheist I just don't believe in God but I'm open minded to theories that might explain our existance. It's like a court case or a scientific experiment. You start with a criminal charge or scientific hypothesis and then look for evidence to substantiate the charge or the hypothesis. You balance the evidence and come to a conclusion based on that evidence. If the best evidence for God is a book written c.2,000 years ago that is full of holes then I need more and better evidence before I start to believe.
-
I entirely agree, to me faith is a rediculous concept and I regard those 'of faith' to be intellectually stunted. It's no surprise that religious belief is less and less prevalent the more educated a society becomes.
-
You believe because you just do?
-
Think DubaiPhil asks a pertinent question - what do the believers on here mean when they say that the God exists - what is that God? I'm an atheist so don't believe in any sort of God but I'm just trying to understand if we have any 'traditional' Christian types on here who go for the whole heaven and hell, God answering prays etc omnipitent type God. Any?
-
You're completely confused. The post I was commenting on said that there were events around the globe all around 2000 years ago. I asked what they were and then explained why seemingly the whole world uses a calander with the birth of Jesus. As an aside the present-day 'locals' in the holy land are overwhelmingly Muslim and Jewish - neither believe Jesus to be the son of God.
-
I haven't got a clue what your point is.

Indeed, Abramovich thought he knew better than Mourinho.
