Wallace for me even though I was there to see Delap's effort. The Wallace goal is iconic - against the top team of the day, under floodlights, great build-up play featuring Worthington and Dennis, and then of course Wallace's bicycle kick was as classic as you could wish to see from an asthetic point of view. On top of that you've got Barry Davies' classic commentary in the days before commentators only shouted the scorers name - "Wallace, oh I say, what a magnificent goal......".

It is well known that there is little social mobility in the UK.
-
I'm pleased! Like the bit about driving down with his dad - sounds very enthusiastic.

Satire was dead along time ago but Dune is attempting to petrify it into rock.
-
Who is "they"? are these the same posters that Dune labels "socialist" or "marxist"? lol. Whatever your opinions resorting to labelling groups of people with nonsense terms that you don't even understand just makes you sound stupid. just as if I was to label everyone on the right that I disagreed with as "fascists". How anyone who posts regularly on here could be described as 'elite' is beyond me.
-
Dear Dune, Whatever points you want to make are instantly diminished whenever you use the phrase "liberal elite". Whilst I disagree with pretty much every post you've ever made on here, I'm pointing this out to you so that you can sound less of an idiot. Yours Anothersaintinsouthsea xx

Just to clarify: You seemed to sound positive about your experience of Saudi and that's what I was commenting upon.
-
a left-winger who wants Thatcher markII? mmmm........
-
so we should be more like Saudi? bit of sharia law perhaps?

looks like NC was ahead of the game

think the clubs are being over the top on this. German teams often get bigger shirt sponsorship deals because the large amount of terrestrial coverage including a prime-time highlights show means that their sponsor get lots of exposure. -
bDllocks, these people don't want to work. blaming on immigration is misguided, just an excuse for a social underclass that has developed over decades through industrial decline, benefits dependency, feckless parenting, and the bling celebrity culture.

I thought the EDL was a protest against muslim extremism and sharia law?.....
-
haha, bullseye.
-
racist. just an observation mind!
-
you are such a tart. pathetic even by your low standards.

Appreciate the sentiments but I'm pretty sure Australia had a few disturbances a year or so back. Happens all over the place every now and again, nothing to be unduly woried about.
-
Well I think you won the award for top intellectual argument of the day. no interest in the past.....if you don't learn from the past you'll keep ****ing up in the future. This 'tweet' summed up things fairly well IMO: "Conservative MP Peter Luff tweets: No single explanation for this anarchy but rioters likely to be products of failed families - bored, selfish, unloved young men."
-
errrr.....
-
Saintbletch - don't try and adopt a sophisticated approach to these sort of issues. it doesn't work on here I'm afraid. It's much better to be simplistic and reactionary.
-
Just seen a report of a group of muslim men protecting shops in the vicinity of their mosque......
-
+1 for your wife. if you sound like a racist then it's probably because you are a racist. I've seen loads of 'Whites' causing trouble and looting in the footage.

Storries case is the only one explicitly being linked to PFC but surely the only direct relationship that Madaric and Redknapp had was based upon employment at PFC. To say it is not related to PFC is being economical. Interesting that it was repeated that there was evidence of a pattern of payments but the case is only dealing with one or two specific payments. Beggars the question that if the authorities are successful will they then pursue other cases?

Why do we hate pompey, our fishy neighbours?

It really isn't. Look for any historical reference to "Southampton Company of Union Men" and you won't find anything. Never existed. What strike do you refer to? As Portsmouth is a Naval port I suggest the likelihood of major strike action to be low. -
But it wasn't.
