...its PC gone mad......zzzzz

Not to mention the Greek and Roman writings on medicene and philosophy that were preserved by the Arab world during what were the 'dark ages' in Europe, the rediscovery of which kick-started the Renaissance.

I guess the police will weigh up whether a ban is more trouble than its worth.
-
While that is true, that's irrelevant if you believe in freedom of speech.

Is Turkish the poor man's Dune?

lol the usual idiotic "liberal elite" nonsense. I don't think I've ever read someone on here defending the viewpoint of nutters like Choudray. If they want to protest peacefully and it is unlikely to incite violence then I fine with that. However, given the timing of this and the offensive nature of their message on this occasion then I'd suggest a police ban would be appropriate just as I agreed with the police banning the EDL from "protesting" in Tower Hamlets shortly after the riots had ceased.

Caught a glimpse of a political hero today

Nigel Farrage? he can probably afford a jag and chauffer with all the MEP expenses he gets from the EU parliament that he hates so much. -
I admit to not knowing the current crop of German players but in the past they've had more than their fair share of arrogant egotists: Lehman, Kahn, Ballack, Effenberg - just four of their big names from the last 20 years. Oh, forgot Podolski. Performs well in the tournaments for the national team but has a terrible reputation as a professional in club football.

no worries, you're doing a great job of it.

Trousers - your only defence of a Tory is "well whatabout such and such" which is pretty pathetic. What's your actual opinion of the story being highlighted by dubaiphil?

FFS some of you need to take things less seriously. Having said that Clarke looks like just what we need. Get him in Cortez or I'll neva go to St Maries again lolz

When the going gets tough, wally with the brolley gets going (out of the door).....

Blimey, get well soon.

I guess it reflects which club has a strong squad and sits second in the table and which club could barely scrape together enough players for 5-a-side in training. Hurry up and make your 3 posts for the day.

Think you're a few months out. Dexter is back in training albeit not full training.

Interesting that a few have said "Bart could do little about the goal". Watch it back on TV - the striker stuck it in the half of the goal that Bart was supposed to be guarding. Instead Bart was hiding behind the wall. Definitely his fault I'm afraid.

Obergurgl is nice but by no means the only resort to have guaranteed snow at that time of year - in fact there are quite a few other spots in Austria let alone the rest of the Alps - Solden, Kaprun, Stubai and Maryhofen spring to mind. All of the resorts have their pluses and minuses, I suggest you put in the research to find one that fits your ticklist. You will need lessons at least at the start of the week. You will need special equipment. While it can be warm at the time of year it can equally get well below freezing. You don't need to spend 'that' much, you can get pretty good gear at TK Max for example, I always try to 'layer up' and have never been too cold.

Yes but contact doesn't automatically mean a foul.

Apparently we don't own our training ground!

Saggy Chops owns both sites. The one next door got knocked down ages ago and was to be completely rebuilt for flats. The one that got burnt down had planning permission for flats but was to be a renovation with the outside kept the same. Not sure whether it is convenient or not for the ugly

Struggle to see what we get from a loan deal. If we don't want him, which seems obvious, then we need a permanent deal and a fee. I'd have mixed feelings if i was a QPR fan: great to be back in the top flight but embarrassed by the penny-pinching board who are frankly rediculously wealthy. Even Blackpool last season showed more ambition.

Totally agree. When he sticks purely to history he can be pretty good but mistakes interest in the history he talks about for interest in him. when he gets carried away he becomes an arrogant arse.

Another recommend from me - "lovely stuff".

come off it, if we didn't have straw men arguments on here we'd have no need for the 'the lounge'.
