Wow, 500 EDL protesters, no doubt plenty of those came from outside of the city. Ten times that amount attended the Slutwalk in London, the days of the EDL being anything more than a bunch of low-IQ racists beyond the fringe of relevance is a long, long way off.

ex-Stoke and ex-Sunderland: maybe he's missing the stripes! would be a good signing.

Poor old Arsene - hypocritical perhaps?

Wenger has always been a one-eyed, whinging hypocrite. -
Good to see The Sun jump at the chance to splash big headlines that Brown (in their view) was "WRONG". They were a little quiet when the News of the World was revealed to have hacked Milly Dowlers (and others) phone. The Sun and the NotW are two cheeks of the same arse.

Police officers would never accept money from the press. oh. -
Corp Ho - the gift that keeps on giving. what a c unt.

I might be wrong but as I understand it they were hacking into the voicemailbox for the phone numbers of their targets. Mailboxes are set up with a default PIN, for arguments sake 1111, and so anyone can hack a maibox using that default as long as it hadn't been changed already.
-
They've been suspiciously quiet. It's almost as if they may have been involved in phone hacking themselves. Surely not......

There's a difference between the state not interfering and therefore allowing religious schools to operate and actually funding those religious schools with public money. I happy with the former not the latter. Anyway back to the main point, the EDL are stupid scumbags. The great thing is that practically everyone on here agrees on this.

FFS Corpse, that was utterly pathetic and embarrassing.

lol lol like that ever happened. Well you got Dindane in the end, lolz all round think you should sack your source. bless mega lolz words fail me it keeps on coming keep dreaming so which non-existent group were leading the non-existent pack? The scandinavian Al-Faraj? go on, you may as well spill the beans now? Maybe Stuey was right in the end eh? There you go Corpse, since you asked for it. Care to respond this time rather than canoing off to Panama like you did last time?

Yes but commitment will only get you so far. Not seen that much of him but watched the HUddersfield play-off match and to me he looked a little slow and had little skill on the ball.

I'm pretty sure he played against Saints for Sheff U in the FA Premier League u19s play-off at St Mary's a whilse back. He didn't stand out compared to Blackstock, Best and Gillet but I remember because there was some northern type sat right behind me who was obviously related - kept shouting out "c'mon Billy Sharp!". Decent effot for Donny last season, not sure he is worth that sort of money though.

So one can catch a thief and then decide to imprison him and torture him daily. Proportionate? not really. Does anyone who breaks the law forfeit the right to all of societal rights? If I see some driving recklessly along my street which often has kids playing in it I could shoot him or pull him from the car and give him a good shoeing?

Bit too early to come to any conclusions. To those posting above - what level of physical punishment is acceptable to be committed against burglers? Stabbing to death OK? mutilation OK? torture OK? slow lingering death OK? Presumably we should be pushing our politicians to pass much tougher sentances for burglary e.g. hanging?

Gutted. Great musician. Just listened to the sax solo on Jungleland, brilliant stuff.

As a patriot I was embarrassed that my country was played a considerable part in an illegal war that turned into one of the biggest foreign policy **** ups in history. Thankfully people like Brian Haw were around to show the rest of the world that not everyone in the UK went along with Blair.

I like it, think would look better white on red rather than red on white.

Michael Gove confirms what i've been saying all along

When people starting talking about the education system the phrase "opinions are like arseholes - everyone's got one" springs to mind. Exams might be easier, I don't know, I'd guess that only those that work in Education would have an informed opinion. Dune - wtf do you know about exams apart from what you read in the tabloids? **** all I'd imagine. -
Defo the Che style, go white and black on a plain red flag. In white writing have something like Markus Liebherr - Saints Legend.

I guess it is her human right to not clean up those cells but then she wouldn't get paid.

Raphael Honigstein "Englisher Fussball" - he writes for the Guardian about German football. This is his take on the English game. There were a couple of bits I didn't quite agree with overall very good insights and very enjoyable.

Either we decide to fund the capability that we want or we match our capability to what we can afford. -
