Reed gets another Liverpool payout when he gives them Lemina..... Call me negative but relegation could be a blessing in disguise. Gives us an opportunity to clear out the board, manager and redwood in the squad start bringing back the Southampton way of pressing attacking football, bed in a squad full of youth strengthen adequately across the squad with further youth talent and more importantly get a manager and board with passion and vision.

Our squad is average at best hence where we are............ Should of replaced Pelle and Mane properly. The Van D money could of got us at least three players who could make an immediate impact instead we overpay on a striker who has no premier league experience and looks average at best.....

Cup win allday long. I then would sack the manager remove most of the board get in a young English manager with a bit of passion clear-out the overpaid deadwood. I would use players like Austin, Ward Prowse, Stephens, Hoijberg. Also bed in and play youth prospects like Mcqueen, Sims, Hesketh, Seager, Olomola, Sam G. I would spend a little bit of dosh and get in a few young prospects that will help push us out the championship but essentially would gut most of the team and would sell the following. Don't blame managers for leaving clearly they saw the club had no ambition...

With the demise of Southampton FC and the threat of relegation how could we of done things differently and what are the mistakes? I will start with my thoughts on what I think is wrong with Southampton FC and the stupid decisions the board have made. 1) Hiring Pellegrino a manager who is tactically inept, lacking in authority and essentially is a rabbit caught in the headlights. 2) New owner keeping our fans in the dark about matters i.e what are intentions where is he going to take our club? 3) Continued sales of star players and being replaced with players of lesser quality to save money. Giving fans false hopes (Promes) and essentially mugging them off. 4) No replacing Van D, Mane, Pelle properly look at our back line Stephens and Hoedt come on now......... 5) Stupid tactical decisions, squad decisions and line ups. The inability to tactically switch things up when we are losing players appearing to be demotivated...... 6) No proper youth options coming through the squad where is Sims? Hesketh?

Fans need to down tools then and stop attending games....... Moaning on a forum isn't going to spring the board into action hit them in pockets and stop attending matches....

Bring on relegation, clear out the board, the egos in the squad and the clown of a manager........ Field a young passionate squad get a young passionate English manager and have a asset sale...... Use the money to strengthen in key areas that will give us a good chance of bouncing back up to the Premiership. I have pretty much lost interest in Premier league football anyways lets be realistic here to much money in that league full of big clubs mopping up talent......

Why buy Carrillo because he is unproven in the prem isn't that great....... If we had any ambition should of just laid down £35 million for a top striker......
