As a club we revert back to actually bedding in youth players from our academy, recruiting coaches and staff who believe in this philosophy and have the ability to motivate and develop. So essentially we have a technically gifted player in the form of Gabba. However the rest of our attack is gash and the midfield lacks the ability / intelligence to link up with him. Forget the striker recall Gallagher and spend some money on upgrading the midfield we have technically good finishers in Austin and Gabba problem is nobody is intelligent enough football wise to play to Gabbas strengths... You watch games and pay attention to Gabba he is making good clever runs into the box the issue is players are not on the same wave length / level. The service into the final third is lacking a cutting edge. As a result he is isolated. We need somebody who can unlock a back four and can create... The problem is we do not have anyone in midfield who is intelligent enough to play to Gabbaiadinis strengths... You need somebody behind him to feed him through with through balls. Stick Boufal as a number 10....... Get Austin up top alongside Gabba. Tadic as a left winger and get Redmond on the right wing.. Not rocket science is it? Why are we playing players out of postion? Any old numpty can see the team is setup wrong...

We are a average mid table team.... Unless funds are spent on players capable of scoring / creating chances we will continue to be so. Doesn't matter who is managing our squad isn't as good as deluded saints fans think. Without a clear out and injection of quality it will be the same old story. I wouid give Pellegrino a chance. He should be bold drop half of the dross and play the youth players maybe we can develop and unearth some talent.
