  1. This post was going through me head with every poor decision he made.Turned out to be a good omen, but fuck me what a useless wanker he was today.
  2. He looked very good today, only our first game but that season at Wednesday looks to have done him some good.
  3. Not in the number 9 role at least anyway. Edward’s better sort his shit out as well. Far play to Baz, not his biggest fan but THAT saved deserved too win us at least a point, happy to take all 3 and send the sheep shaggers home upset. Jack holding up his armband in his celebrations shows he’s heard what we’ve all said, here’s hoping he indeed goes on to prove everyone wrong. Credit to Manning, he could flourish as a winger with the shackles of the possession game removed. That ref though, fuck me, two stonewall pens was good to get a result in spite of him.
  4. This ref really is a cunt.
  5. Armstrong looks more worried about his hairline than he does scoring a goal
  6. Commentator going on about a head injury for a ball that hit him in the midriff 😂 stfu
  7. Putting in a cross to Armstrong and Fraser 😂 what’s the fucking point.
  8. I think a lot of people underestimated Wrexham pre match, and overestimated our squad.
  9. New manager, same backwards passing obsession.
  10. At least there’s some good news at last.
  11. Yeah he was tweeting players a few years ago, trying get free stuff, retweets etc and all that malarkey claiming he had cancer, turned out to be bollocks. Gotta be a pretty sick individual to do that and still be happy to show your face so publicly.
  12. We’re already giving them 1000 more tickets than we have to. I bet we’ve got little posters in the concourse thanking them for coming like noddy clubs do.
  13. The numbers we pull in when you consider this data is mind blowing. Our fans deserve so much better.
  14. Were in a relegation battle and he got sacked, wouldn’t call that a good job for a team that has bigger aspirations.
  15. I for one am waiting for general sale. I’m not being a membership which isn’t really needed in this league, especially with the club making this the most expensive game of the season which is insulting if you take the rivalry out of the equation. I’d said before that having categories for any game in this league is a joke.
  16. I somehow completely missed the fact the Sheff United had hired Selles. How did he land himself that job? That’s his third managers role since leaving us 2 years ago, doesn’t exactly bode well for them does it. Some other predictior I saw earlier also has us down finishing 1st, which as much as I’d love I really can’t see being close to correct. They had Wednesday finishing 12th which says it all really.
  17. Loved Kachloul, he was a decent player for us, particularly in that great escape season of 98-99. As mentioned he also played a huge part in our final game at the Dell, I was gutted why lost him to Villa in the following weeks.

Hopefully we go for whoever is willing to give us the most up front. You know Everton and Spurs especially will have loads of caveats to unlock so that we get the full transfer fee. Cost us very little, and that money could buy 3 or 4 decent players for this league. Whether it gets used that way is another story of course.
  19. https://sportwitness.co.uk/hasnt-been-reassuring-club-end-southampton-players-loan-early-saints-have-decision-to-make/ Sudinfo also report the Republic of Ireland international has left Standard Liège earlier than expected. The two clubs maintain a good relationship due to Moussa Djenepo’s sale to the Saints in 2023. This helped the Jupiler Pro League side to sign Bazunu on loan without a purchase option. The report says the Southampton man’s arrival stopped Matthieu Epolo’s development at Standard Liège. Bazunu played eight games, keeping one clean sheet and conceding 15 goals. Sudinfo say he ‘hasn’t been reassuring at all’ since he arrived in Belgium, meaning the stopper wasn’t convincing.
  20. Gav went on to repay this faith in him by becoming the statically worst keeper in the league that season. I really don’t get our fans, the ones that stick up for him or are happy to settle for average at best. The bloke admittedly through no fault of his own got thrown in at the deep end when he was signed, and was statically the worst keeper in the Prem, then we got relegated and he was the worst keeper in the league the following season, then he misses most of last season due to injury but does have an utterly disastrous loan spell to Belgium, and here we are less than a week before the season and he’s getting 7/10 ratings and people claiming he’s good enough for us and this league. Mediocrity at its finest, he’s gash, and it’s a matter of time till we’re all questioning whether he’s costing us games. The bloke is going to melt against the skates, we can all see it coming, and as has been posted already rivals teams are signing decent solid keepers at a fraction of the price he cost us.
  21. Fingers crossed they do by the end of the window.
  22. This is my frustration, Still has been here weeks now and by this time next week we’d have played our first match, and on our preseason showing have lost to a side well and truly on an upward curve. Literally what is our style, what’s he trying to achieve? At least Lego had implemented his game plan by now. Despite all the bollocks from Spors and Solak about making a proper fist of it we look like we’ve gone backwards, and if this isn’t the squad Still wants why is he not banging down their doors to get players in he actually wants.
  23. Out of his depth might have been a bit strong, however after a couple of months in the door by now you’d be doing your research, watching old footage and asking those that were around what the strong and weak points of the squad are. If he genuinely believes that Baz, and Stephens are first names on the team sheet then questions deservedly need to be asked. Likewise starting Fraser on the wing.
  24. Very much so, and here we are a week from our opening game against a pumped up Wrexham side that everyone not linked to Saints will want them to win, and we’ve looked poor all preseason, and are picking the same shite players expecting a different result.
