  1. Another player not backing the manager too .
  2. That certainly sounds achievable, however my concern would be that given the strength of the teams coming down we could well see a season like the last time we went up and the final table looked like this
  3. I was referring to the boxing match being held at St Mary’s in a few weeks tbf but your point still stands about the atmosphere next season.
  4. Then let the fireworks commence! The EFL telling Hull to prepare for Southampton for over a week and then changing it to Boro with two days notice will come back to bite them I’m sure.
  5. Forget its SFC, let’s say for example If a salesperson at a legitimate business somewhere was over exceeding targets, and making the company a fortune, but was taking back handers and stealing, do you think the management would say “yeah he’s a wrongun, but he makes us a lot of money” or do you think they’d follow due process and get rid? Regardless of him being the best man to get us promoted his position is untenable, its a basic business fact.
  6. It’s not that I’m unable to understand the argument, it’s that it’s an unrealistic argument to begin with. This £200 million figure being banded about, that’s only for one seasons worth of tv money. Let’s say we managed to survive, suddenly that’s £400 million, and on and on. There’s no way we’ll ever know for sure but all we do know is that Dragan authorised the spending of a bit of money, to make a hell of a lot more, and the incompetence of a handful of people has put an end to that, and no businessman will tolerate that.
  7. Yeah him and his crocodile tears can fuck off. Hope he’s crying real ones Saturday.
  8. Then those people aren’t living in the real world IMO.
  9. I’m genuinely astounded people are saying Tonda either could stay, or should stay, like what planet are you on. This bloke has committed gross misconduct, gross negligence, and has bought the club into major disrepute. This isn’t just about the £200 mill plus in tv money, think about the cost of this legal challenge, think about the sponsors exercising their right to pull out of their deals. Honestly we’re not some small business with a handful of employees who might turn around and think “yeah ok he messed up we all make mistakes”, this is an internationally recognised brand that has suffered its most embarrassing moment in its 140 year history, and the ramifications will rumble on for years. There is ZERO chance Tonda stays.
  10. Someone was talking about Ben Garner on another thread and it got me thinking about Ryan Garner. Poor fucker has got his big title fight coming up at St Mary’s in a couple of weeks and was probably hoping the saints family would turn out and it’d be as much a boxing event as a promotion party . Will probably affect ticket sales and atmosphere with the level of apathy we’re all feeling.
  11. I’m in two minds to be honest, on the one hand I’d like Hull to absolutely batter Boro and to see their fans crying. On the other hand I’d like to see Boro break Derbys worst ever Prem team record AND see Hull take the EFL to the cleaners over the whole playoff fiasco.
  12. I guess their argument will be that we could have lost the playoff final, and thus would have escaped punishment essentially.
  13. 6dc68fdcdc6f478cae793d48f1669e68.mp4
  14. Tonda is done for, he’ll be gone today. Gross misconduct, gross negligence, gross incompetence, and bringing the club into disrepute? Not a chance he’ll be here. The latest video from Mark Dennis who will have genuine club connections is enough proof of how people feel about Tonda now.
  15. Let’s see Paul Allen’s season ticket…
  16. Yep. I was convinced that the way this squad had gone toe to toe with Fulham, Arsenal and City, would be able to make a real go of it next season if promoted. That’s been ripped apart from us in the cruelest of ways now. Theres no way we’d have managed to spy on that lot, so why the fuck did we feel the need to do it to lesser sides, especially with the video footage available. Just shambolic from top to bottom. Really don’t know where to go from here. All that time, money and emotion invested into watching us this season and this is how it ends. Good luck @Whitey Grandad with your fight. At least your news has managed to provide a bit of perspective amongst the madness.
  17. If Villa finish 5th and Bournemouth 6th then Bompey qualify for the champions league. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c8r8mvl8rkro
  18. Bugger. That’s that then.
  19. Villa winning tonight and finishing 5th on Sunday could see Bournemouth qualify for the Champions League in 6th. Fucking Boscombe, in the Champions League. Mental.
  20. I’d forgotten about that 🤣 purposely releasing statements after the Echo had gone to print. What a little bastard he was.
  21. Indeed. Can only assume, aside from gross incompetence, that the club were assuming the initial hearing was going to go a lot less harsh than it did. This guy charges £5k an hour apparently. Wouldn’t get out of bed for that personally.
  22. That was Pollo Di Canio.
  23. He was decent at Villa back in the day, but probably a bit past it now tbf.
  24. But conversely they never had a set punishment in place for the offence. Saints will likely argue that the punishment is too dynamic depending on the circumstances.
