I find it astounding that all of us fans could see how desperately we needed to sign a striker, yet the club disagreed other that Downs who looks to be a shite Sekou Mara which is quite the feat. I’m even more astounded that Will Still came out and claimed he didn’t want to sign a striker anyway, which makes you question his credentials if he genuinely believed that.

Would have taken it before the game of course, but genuinely don’t think Boro deserved a draw from what they created. The bulk of this squad need to be first choice now, forget shoehorn and THB, they need to earn their place back in the side.

No excuses for this, we know what the team is capable of having performed like that tonight. Yes it was mostly Liverpool reserves but they’re still a better side than Boro. I’d like Macca to start in place of Baz, yeah he fucked up tonight but I like my goalkeepers to actually be making saves, not pissing about with the ball at their feet, so on that basis AM is the sensible choice. THB needs dropping after the Hull debacle, and I’d be happy to see Captain Jack dropped as well, although the only way I see that happening is another injury as per the Russell Martin season.

Was up there with Alan Bennett vs Palace for worst Saints performance of all time. Outjumped for the first goal, sloppy 25 yard pass straight to their player and failed to get a challenge in for the second, then needlessly conceded the free kick which led to the third goal, whilst being out jumped again. Honestly just so fucking bad. To think I was worried about losing him and Flynn this summer.

Whilst it may be needed on occasion, I’m concerned that once again today he made a triple sub in the second half. I know things had to change but that was due to his tactics in the first place, making such regular wholesale changes is the sort of thing you do playing FIFA. Just seems like completely tactical naivety at this level.
