If it is stripes I hope we do away with the plain backs.

Genuinely a brilliant musician, far too young, he was a force of nature on the drums. You only have to look at the reaction to the news to know how highly regarded he was in the music world and he wasn’t even the front man. It’s incredible when an instrumentalist in a band gets to shine as bright as some front men. Have always been a huge Foos fan, and this one hurts a lot. Won’t be the same seeing them live without him from now on. RIP Taylor

Yep, still painful that one! Plus the Boro draw, and the Villa capitulation, Prutton skying a volley from 6 yards out away to West Brom. So many moments that season that would have been enough to save us in the long run. I remember the elation of beating Liverpool at home in the early kick off on the Saturday only for the 3pm results to go against us.

Just watched the highlights back having been at the game, was every bit the game of fine margins I thought it was. Crap defending by Stephens for their first, silly foul by Salisu for the second, and KWP loses his man for the 4th. Still think it was madness to not start Broja and Adams. Armstrong should have been given a chance to shine against Watford last week, not up top alongside Shane Long today.

The little cunt has already got away with that before.

Shame that won’t matter to a tyrant like Putin, and normal Russians that try to oppose him or rise up will be dealt with the same way they always have. If only being convicted of war crimes meant the same to Vlad as it did to so many more before him.
-
Been reading something about this just a minute ago after seeing that elderly man killed by a tank and can’t help but think does it actually matter what The Hague say? Who’s actually going to bring Putin or his men to justice? The rest of the world will continue to tip toe around him as they’re too worried about the supposed repercussions.

Can’t see super companies like Apple or Nike refusing to use Chinese sweatshops to build or make their latest products, profits speak louder than sanctions. That’s before we factor in the likelihood of whether the west will stop importing agricultural products, or steel as two examples.
-
The US threatening China with sanctions should they help Russia with military equipment…what exactly can they hit one of the largest economies in the world with that would make any kind of difference to them?
-
Probably, assuming he adapts well the the Premier League of course. At least with Kane they get guaranteed league goals straight from the off should they go for him.
-
Why City thought they could get by without buying a top striker is beyond me. Title race would be over by now if they had. Fully expect them to go all in for Kane this summer, they’d be mad not to.

First time we used it was Villa away 🤣 the thought crossed my mind too. In isolation todays defeat would be easier to take. Reminds me of losing to Cardiff on 2 occasions when they had OGS and Colin in charge, or QPR under twitchy and they all went down, just one of those freak results at St Mary’s that happens from time to time. What makes this more concerning is that we’ve been absolutely flying, are in the quarters of the fa cup, and then all of a sudden we’re dogshit again.
-
Embarrassing result that. I’d have laughed in your face if you told me from Villa away, Toon at Home and Watford at home we wouldn’t pick up a single point given the way we had been playing.

Stadium announcer at it again, playing Sugar We’re Going Down by Fall Out Boy at HT.

We can moan about the cost of their reinforcements, or whether they cheated to get the original game postponed, but the fact is they were marginally better than us tonight and our defence is what lost is the game. Let’s not act like they’ve pumped a Man City-esque amount of money into their team, they’re still pretty crap, and they had a lot of their better players out still. We had too many 6 out of 10 performances tonight, and Newcastle just wanted it more. Have we got a bit too complacent and started to believe the hype perhaps? Definitely think Salisu was rushed back too quickly for this game, almost as if Ralph was too emotional over the postponement that he couldn’t afford another repeat of the Villa result. Shame if our season just fizzles out after the run we’ve had of late. Lose the City game and it’ll all feel rather depressing again.
-
Rushed back a bit too soon maybe?
-
Now I’m not going to give Fraser too much grief, but that cross comes a long way and he’s heading it in from 6 yards out. Surely Forster could come for that?
-
Cunt. Of course he’d break his duck against us.
-
Who’s the boring Welsh bloke on commentary?
-
Oh Broja
-
If Salisu is back we’ll win I reckon, not by much, 1-0 or 2-1 maybe. If he’s out again I reckon we’ll lose, just can’t see us shutting them out with the Stephens/Bednerak pairing.
