Guess it all comes down to money. There would probably be a transfer fee of close to £100 million so that only really leaves City or Chelsea in the running. Could United afford to spend that sort of money so soon after buying Pogba who hasn’t exactly set the world alight. If if he comes to the Prem it’ll be because he wants to win it so I’d expect him to end up at City.

Even before his starring role yesterday he probably was - but is it fair to say Gareth Bale is the greatest ever product of our academy?
-
That was genuinely laugh out loud funny. One mistake was bad enough, let alone two, in the biggest game in club football:lol: Gareth Bale - Made in Southampton

Average squad player - people used to say he was young and would flourish with age but we’re still waiting. I’d say the most telling thing about how good he is or isn’t is that fact that despite all of his ‘dead ball specialist’ abilities, and relative success with junior England teams, no other Premier League club have shown any interest in him whilst his peers have been snapped up.

This better not be a repeat of the Nigel Pearson debacle....
-
Not sure whether they are new, or whether they’ve always been there and I’ve not noticed but they’ve installed red and white downlighting along the front of the stadium, looked great driving home tonight....

That night at Pride Park still lives in the memory so massive lol at them and their fans.

Glad that’s all over with. Been horrible for the past few months having this spectre of relegation hanging over us and the horrible anxiety that goes with it. Looking forward to the next 3 months not having to worry about Saints, and hopefully having an enjoyable summer which sees Krueger and Reed shown the door, Hughes signed up for a couple of years at least, and some decent transfer dealings. Shame we couldn’t hold on for the point, but a reminder of course how poor our defence is and that we need to keep the fitness up until that final whistle.

After this season I’d bite your hand off now for a couple of seasons of mid table mediocrity to be honest!! Sow the seeds and rebuild before we think about pushing for Europe again, there’s a lot of deadwood to clear out and I reckon it’ll take a few transfer windows to transform our squad.

Have bookies stopped taking bets of relegation for this season now? Can’t find odds anywhere!

Great Escapes - past and present ... is this the best ?

98/99 was my favourite, when the legend of Pahars was born. We still had some very good players in that team they were just massively under performing, much like this season. i wouldn’t say this season was a great escape as such, more luck that despite our horrendous form we never quite fell away from the pack. -
I feel only wed started the season with McCarthy

A repeat of Anfield in the semi final last year?
-
Romeu is so **** this year
-
Goal difference means a point for Huddersfield makes no difference to us surely?
-

Get in - come on palace

Very good day for us. Shame Pompey lost today as other results went against them which would have been even funnier.
-
Hoedt is so ****ing ****.
-
Officially yes but they’re still selling tickets that people have returned so there’s a few available still
-
Even if they did it this year would they open it up to the fans to attend as usual? Could get a bit ugly after a few drinks especially if Les Reed decides to turn up.
-
What the **** was Hoedt doing there? ****ing donkey!! Would be nice to have a Right Back that can cross like that.
-
What a goal. The ****.

We’ve definitely got the fans, lets not forget the 50k or so we took there’s for the JPT. Theres just a general apathy around the place following results of the past 18 months or so, as well as the disappointment in the way the club is being run. The fact that the FA wanted £80 a ticket for those front blocks didn’t help matters either.
