I agree with your point about moving the away fans around the corner to blocks 1,2 and 3, but unfortunately for us as far as St Mary's is concerned this can't happen due to the executive boxes. This is where stadia like Pride Park and the King Power have the advantage and have been able to move away fans. Placing the the away fans where they are was done with the best intentions but unfortunately we're stuck as it is for the foreseeable without construction work.

Been going to watch Saints since I was 8 in 1993 but cheers for your suggestion of going to watch Pompey, I can kindly tell you where to go on that front.
-
More simple than all of these suggestions, get relegated. Go back to a more hardcore of supporters, it would get rid of the plastics and day trippers, and tickets will be cheaper. Going to games was a hell of a lot more fun in the EFL. Unfortunately St Mary's is now just one in many soulless Premier League stadia. Would help if we had a better songbook too by the way, droning out OWTS for the hundredth time per match is no fun, neither is having to sing about *insert player name* hating Pompey.

Wish I was as optimistic as some people on here, winning 1-0 against a truly awful Palace and suddenly we're in a position to turn over United!? VVD or not I still expect to get soundly beaten by them, I'd absolutely bite your hand off for a point but won't hold my breath.

Putting my traditional and personal views about Wembley usage aside, I think they've made a massive mistake in using Wembley rather than another venue this season. Surely players of opposing teams are going to raise their game when they play Spurs as its naturally going to feel like a cup final, and every player dreams of playing at Wembley. Not sure why away fans have been given such a small allocation though, perhaps to nullify that cup final atmosphere from visiting fans.

Funny that the people criticising the booing for VVD are the ones sat behind a computer screen rather than spending the cash to go watch the team. Our "captain" handed in a transfer request a year after signing a new contract, completely disrespecting the club, had this secret meeting with Liverpool, yet gladly took his millionaires wage that those of us with menial jobs contribute towards by giving our money to watch Saints, buy shirts etc etc whilst he probably can't wait for the next transfer window so he can leave, yet the fans that boo are apparently out of order? Those moaning about it are probably the sort of people that would catch some bloke banging their mrs but rather than punch him would offer him a cup of tea.

It was because of ****e like that last season that I gave up my ST, can't believe we've actually gone backwards compared to the dross under Puel. we look so weak in midfield, we miss Wanyama and Morgan terribly. Romeu is good but he just isn't on the same level as those two. We need some strong 6ft+ burly black guys in the middle as our team of short arses just don't cut it. JWP wouldn't get a look in at most othe teams, it's only as he is the poster boy for our academy that he features. Davis is aging and clearly going backwards, and Boufal is the most ineffective waste of money this team has had. if MP can't get this squad working together and producing some results we will be fighting relegation this year for sure.

Standard substitution, take Gabbi off for another striker. CHANGE THE ****ING SYSTEM MP YOU FOOL.
-
Deservedly behind. We look no better than last year, has Gabbi even touched the ball?

The celebrations when that goal went in were amazing, we were unlucky to lose that day. what an awful way to lose a child, glad that he and the mrs are finally finding peace.

Should each be down to 10 men. Thought this was meant to be sold out?

SM was dead for me, signed up to the free trial on Surf Easy VPN and HD now seems to be working perfectly.

Can't argue with this, more deserving than KK.

Coco Bongo was awesome, me and the Mrs went during our honeymoon and took the all inclusive drinks package and a balcony seat. Needless to say we got absolutely hammered. Make sure you do Tulum and Chichen Itza, but go there early before the crowds arrive.

Virgil van Dijk signs new six-year deal with Saints

This thread is a laugh given the latest news. Extension was all about money, nothing more, we'll always be a stepping stone club. -
That applause from the home fans says it all for the Le Tiss goal is utter class. That being said it's probably not in my top 5 Le Tiss goals, but I still voted for it anyway. Yeboah deserves to win though, that goal is something else, although I love his infamous Volley just as much.

The fact that's he's English probably inflates his value tbh, likewise with J-Rod.

Some of the people on here, Saw this post on Twitter earlier, why is VVD not on free kick duty? He's got a foot like a traction engine as Partridge would say... https://twitter.com/focusonceltic/status/883460818662293506

There was a programme called Saints Alive! Which was shown on the now defunct Southampton Tv channel which went out on terrestrial tv. We also had a weekly show on Sky Sports for a little bit, it was 30 minutes every Friday I think in the run up to the cup final.

That home shirt really is class. Love the stripes on the arms, really adds to the retro shirt feel. Looking further ahead now that we've finally got the shirt fans have wanted for years, what sort of kit will we go for 2018/19? Would love a modern take on the 76/77 cup winners shirt, would make us stand out from all the other Red and White striped teams.
-
Home kit is top class, my only complaint is the collar, would have preferred it was black, or was a proper collar like the Keegan shirt. Those away collars in the same design would have been nice too, any chance some He could do a mock up of that?
-
Really hope Les has got an ace up his sleeve as none of the names being touted on here fill me with confidence. Giving a untested Giggs a chance because he was a winner as a player is the sort of stupid idea I'd expect from Rupert Lowe, factor in the managerial careers of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Gary Neville and it's a no from me.
-
Would Ben a genius way to announce a new manager, or player, cast them as the thief and they like the kit so much they choose to sign for us.
