  1. Love seeing all these "World Class" managers getting found out in England.
  2. indeed, my token skate colleague was trying to talk me through the best place to sit for view etc, just so he could mention 2008, that they'd been there loads, second home etc etc the bellend.
  3. Silly me, I thought this was a forum for discussing our opinions.
  4. Sums it up pretty well for me. We have our All Saints Day each year for ex-players and fans that I believe is sufficient to pay our respect and to our saints 'family'.
  5. Difficult to predict the score again given the injuries and necessary rotation, I'm pretty sure Arse will be treating this a lot more seriously than the league cup though. Don't want a bloody draw and replay!
  6. Appreciate the sentiment, and RIP to the bloke, but i don't want to have to applaud the death of every single Saints fan. All gets a bit meaningless otherwise.
  7. Indeed, touts are a bunch of bastards. It annoys me that ticketmaster and the like insist that tickets cannot be transferred or resold as it's against venue rules etc and then set up their own secondary ticketing sites and make a huge profit.
  8. I'd be wary of some of these sites, can't see how they're selling tickets that haven't even gone on sale yet.
  9. This. Last time we were in the Prem the thought of playing the likes of United, Liverpool etc gave me the chills, these days I'm not scared of any of them. Bring it on, be nice to shut up another bunch of plastics.
  10. Watched that Long goal about 100 times today, seriously. Scenes in the away end reminded me of the Rasiak "winner" in the play offs. https://youtu.be/x6-_BIF0td0 skip to 2:40

  12. That feeling when the second goal went in sums up why I'm proud to be a fan of a team like Saints. All those plastics out there will never understand that sheer emotional overload and would view this as just another cup final, they'll never appreciate it the way we do.
  13. Those Match Of The Millennium books of yours Dunc just keep on needing new chapters.....
  14. Glad we didn't win 4-0 in the first leg now, the feeling when Shane scored was something else, emotional teary-eyed relief. Well done Claude, much deserved!
  15. We're killing them down the left, can't believe how wasteful we're being
  16. That was a god awful waste. The whole tie should have been completely out of sight for Liverpool.
  17. Gone a bit backs to the wall last 10, can't carry on like this!
  18. Lost my optimism following the VVD news I just admit. Still, courage in the face of adversity and all that, COYR!!!
  19. Plus Matt Targett of course. Have the club said what is wrong with him yet?
  20. Why would Hull, a team battling relegation, sell one of their players to a league rival if he was that good?
  21. I'm still of the hope that the whole thing is a smokescreen, and the club secretly drove VVD to Liverpool rather than publicly put him on the flight . It's the hope that kills you though I suppose.
  22. Exactly what would happen if we introduced a winter break over here, the top 6 would be off to Asia for a money making bunch of friendlies. Makes a mockery of the whole 'break' idea.
  23. He'll gain a lot of confidence from ensuring we kept a clean sheet, but the truth is he didn't have a great deal to do as Leicester offered little. His introduction coincided with a shaky 10 minutes for the whole team, but we came through it unscathed.
  24. Said in the build up thread I'd hope we'd smash them and get the feel good factor back and that's exactly what we got. Fair play to JWP today, took his goal very well, likewise with J-Rod. Fair play to Tadic showing us that perhaps he does know how to take a penalty! Hopefully VVD is ok, the fact that he tried to carry on suggests it may not be too serious. Maybe it will convince us to spend that Fonte money instead of chancing it. Only downside for me was not football related, but the low sun and mist meant I couldn't really see what was happening at the Chapel end from the Northam.
