Whats your point? It was only poor finishing from Liverpool at st Mary's that got us the point, they utterly hammered us otherwise. Arsenal are far to quick to play that defensive game against, that's my point.
-
Annoyingly their win today has left them with an outside chance of finishing fourth still so we can be sure Wenger will be going for the 3 points. I guess the question is whether Puel tries to match them at their own game, or uses his tactics from the Man City and Liverpool home games and set up to defend. Could be in for a hiding in that case.
-
Very good game today, did everything you'd expect from an England international GK. The question of course is why he doesn't play like that each week.
-
Not the most exciting game but textbook away performance at a better side. Anyone that moans about coming back from Anfield with a clean sheet and a point is a bellend.
-
Cracking gamesmanship from the lads there, fair play Fraser.
-
Really wish the camera wouldn't keep cutting to that floppy haired **** Klopp every 2 minutes.
-
Wish Tadic would stop being a fanny whenever he gets fouled
-
Still adds to their claim of most decorated club on the South, regardless of it being League 2.
-
One more trophy more than us to their collection FFS. Hate those dirty ****s.
-
To be fair I don't really see why having no European experience is an excuse for our early exit, we were still the best team in our group from by far the best domestic lead. Plus of course there's the fact that Leicester managed to reach the Quarter Finals of the CL with less European experience than us.
-
I really hope as a now 31 year old, that I too get to see a day like that at some point before I die. Also hope that it doesn't take another 14 years to reach a major cup final.
-
Remember back in January/February when all the happy clappers said our results would improve once we were out of the cups and didn't have to rotate as much? Well it's been 2 months since our last cup game and we're still ****. Im not exactly sold on someone taking over the club, but if it means getting rid of Puel and Les and bringing in a manager that wants to play exciting football abd take us up a notch I'm all for it.
-
Also worth mentioning the fact that as there is no financial incentive for us to renew before the deadline this year people probably aren't too bothered at the moment. The price will remain the same until they stop selling so the only benefit is to keep our usual seat.
-
This is the sort of game I expect Gabbi to shine and punish any mistakes a shaky Hull defence make. That being said we all remember games like QPR and Cardiff at home in the past few years when an awful team has done a job on us so hopefully we don't underestimate them. 3-1 Saints I reckon, us to go 2-0 up, they score to make it a nervy finish before Yoshi grabs the third
-
Hopefully won't jinx it but despite our concerns Lee Mason has been decent for us.
-
How much space did we give them there? Shocking defending.
-
Didn't Rupes claim it was from playing hockey? Dave Jones was **** for us really, a half decent season in 97/98, nearly took us down the following year, and then half a season of mediocre football the following year. As mentioned above the difference Hoddle made to the team was incredible. Don't think I ever forgave DJ for the 12 hour round trip to see us humiliated at Newcastle in one of his final games....
-
Indeed, think he got demoted as punishment for a week following that match. Surprised the FA let him ref our games with Portsmouth connections.
-
There was certainly a strong smell of plastic in the Northam air today, applauding and filming city celebrations and taking selfies all game, not to mention the queues getting into the ground because people didn't know how to use the barcode readers. Whilst I'm having a moan as I'm ****ed off about the score, they went the complete opposite way with the PA system today, could barely hear Justin or the crap music we play.
-
We set up like the away team and got what we deserved really. Out fought and out thought on and off the pitch, negative tactics very reminiscent of Liverpool at home in the league, except this time the other team took their chances. Hojberg had a blip last week against West Brom but was back to being crap again today. Poor Davis had to carry him and JWP today, and Boufal is looking to be an expensive flop with each game. Fabrice Fernandes without the end product. The fans reactions to the substitutions said it all today.
-
Definitely, he's a good striker if he's given the service.
-
Anyway, back on topic, I'd happily take Alvaro Negredo as a J-Rod replacement on Boro go down.
-
Just look at the behaviour of Saints captain Adam Lallana. If someone that spent that long at Saints can behave in the way he did, then I hardly think a guy that has spent two years here is going to behave any differently once the big boys come calling.
-
Hard to see where we're going to get a goal from, especially against the improved Palace defence. Perhaps if we were to play Long AND J-Rod together we might be a bit more potent in attack, thought J-Rod worked hard yesterday but looked isolated at times.
-
indeed. Quite how a less deserving club keep coming up roses is beyond me.
