yep, ten they can have the same feeling of "i've paid to watch this" or Queue. I would imagine he will still sit in the directors box, better facilities, beer, and seats (and away from the nutters) but is just making the point that the directors should have to cough up the same as the fans. True I don't think he will be a regular, but he will probably pop in if we are in the playoff final or draw one of the big 4/pompey in either of the cups. I do think he will get to more games than me

My last game at SMS was stoke the season before last, we were in the Northam & it was my Mrs' first time at a game, she was stunned at how vocal the abuse we gave Fuller, especially after the "racism aint Saintly" announcement (i did explain that the Skates are a different species, so it's not racist) anyhow, we noticed that sat infront of us was a bloke with his 2 kid, the game was quite dull, and the young girl spent the first half sucking her thumb, snuggled into her Da. During the second half after Saints scored & when the Northam was rocking, Fuller went down & was on the ground for no more than 10 seconds when the little girl shouted with all her might "LET HIM DIE " I still laugh when I think about it now.

Bookies odds on next Southampton manager

I am not a gambler, but do people really put on 4 figure bets on something that is not a sure thing? -
I think you are doing WGS a bit of an injustice there, his record with Celtic, despite what some Celtic fans think was good. now I am not an authority on Scottish football, but I would imagine it has it's fair share of rubbish games and poor grounds. also, on that point, Strachan would be coming to us with a winning mentality. I think a fit team is even more important in the lower leagues where mistakes are more common in the last 20 minutes. It's so amazing that for the first time in years I smile when I think about Saints.

Now that would be headline news..... Billionaire owner hires car sales man as Saints boss! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reuben_Agboola#Later_career (p.s. I know its only wikipedia, so it might not be true) -

Liebherr showing us of to mates at Ajax game
westofshannonsaint replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
could it be the case that our esteemed new owner is a Swiss national for tax purposes and still considers himself German? and would his friends slag him off if we went the swiss route.... (in best German accent) Ah Markus, even your supporters don't think your German. (ok, it wouldn't be very funny but neither is the German sense of humour) In any case a "willkommen" banner should cover it. Along with a chorus of... We love you Markus we do We love you Markus we do We Love you Markus we do Markus Liebherr We Love You - wish I could be there. oh & does this mean that the quality of beer at SMS will improve? -
I think Pinnacle deserve some credit for putting the fight to the football league over the points deduction and if some are to believed saving us from a further deduction.

one of the most promising things i've heard from a board member in a long time, glad he is talking about promotion and not getting hung up on the -10.

still here, I wasn't around much last year as I had it written off the season before a ball was kicked. -
Could anyone give a better translation than google for this Polish article posted yesterday evening? http://sport.wp.pl/kat,1744,title,Miliarderzy-zainwestuja-w-Swietych,wid,11286004,wiadomosc.html?ticaid=18565 this is my 3rd post of the day.... I hope something (good) happens to make me want to cough up my £5.

On this point can I politely ask my fellow supporters not to spam the liebherr group/family with questions about Saints.

this reads eerily familiar, http://www.gak.at/index.php?id=105 there's a forum too but I don't speak German(?) but it might be interesting to some. http://forum.gak1902.at/ recent results = http://www.soccerway.com/teams/austria/liebherr-grazer-ak/matches/ (delighted to see a 8-1 home win and they scored 5 goals away 3 times.... nice) what is the story with getting loan players and loaning players to GAK (aka the red devils)? I am giddy with excitement, but I got excited with the PA rumour ....oh they have had 4 managers in 3 years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grazer_AK#Managers_since_1990

would it be possible to have a league table of the ITKers?

takeovers are always going to go down to the wire, although I am getting nervous, but am still confident that if Pinnacle fail, we will still have a club to support next year. Exactly, even if Pinnacle do not have a pot to P155 in, with Lowe gone, MLT as chairman, a largely debt free club we will be in a much better position* than if we did not go into admin. this time last year (i presume the dutch experiment had started by then) I expected us to be starting the 09/10 season in League 1. the -10 points is due to lowe not accepting the inevitable and forcing us into admin before the deadline & take the hit last year, resulting in us still starting in L1 but with 0 points and may have helped pinnacle in their legal difficulties with the league. Fair enough we are having A messed up pre-season and have No idea of our manager, players or strategy - hopefully by Tuesday, but we have heard that before. but in answer to the OP, yes I would have accepted this last year, however unimpressed I am with MF. MLT is on board & in Le God I trust. regardless of how much cash Pinnacle have I still think they will back Saints better than Lowe ever did, which is also why I am glad to read that Crouch has been offered a spot on the board. As for Lowe, I hope he gets 1 more job in football - Chairman of Pompey, after that I hope that the FL change their rules and he is never allowed near a club in the future.
-
Exactly what I thought, just something about the way it is worded. Perhaps the lawyers asked the echo where they got their info from and they said well GM said it on SaintsWeb.
-
Great news IF true and it is all sorted by Tuesday, thanks to the Swiss for putting the extra push on pinnacle & I only hope that the team fight for every available point on the pitch this season just as pinnacle have so far. this needs to be sorted soon though, 6 weeks is not a long time to rebuild the club.

A Gratuitous Anti Rupert Thread To Help Cope With The Stress
westofshannonsaint replied to PaulSaint's topic in The Saints
I Feckin hate what Lowe has done to this club, fair play for him (& Le Tiss) for keeping us in the Prem & the stadium (along with Soton Council) & all that, But why, for the love of god why did he but the breaks on when we were on the up? Why did he not support WGS? why did he think he knew better than everyone and didn't need a manager only a head coach(s)? Why, after he f*cked up and employed a manager who did not really want to be here (after how many??) and seen us relegated from the prem did he continue to think he knew everything and employ SCW? Why when things went to the total sh*t and we finished in our lowest league position in however many years and he lost control of the club did he bother coming back? Why, when he came back did he sack a good up and coming English manager who could have built on the mess he inherited and kept us in the CCC? & why after he came back and his Dutch/Youth experiment failed did he not force the club into admin before the deadline and save us this current mess? I am normally a laid back kind of guy, but i f*ckin hate RL. rather than lock it we could leave it as the definitive Lowe thread and any Lowe related posts can be directed here. I want to forget about Lowe and if I could do it by ignoring only one thread it would be great. -
Who is Micheal Fialka, the propective new owner
westofshannonsaint replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
I didn't see any mention of Crouch, and I think it has been suggested on here by some who claim to be ITK that Crouch could be up for a place on the board, weather I believe them or not it is a different question. as for Michael Fialka, I am quite underwhelmed but it is just because I don't know who he is and he is not Rod Stuart/Paul Allen/Whoever. In Le God I trust. -
Pinnacle....... do you have the B@lls?
