The Guardian predict 14th place finish for Saints
Saint_Jonny replied to Toon Saint's topic in The Saints
We will finish 13th. -
Cheers for the replies guys, some handy info there :-) I'll bus it in this week and look into it as the week goes on. The parking season ticket sounds a good idea.

Morning chaps, I start a new job tomorrow, I'm having to face to idea of getting the bus to work, horrifying thought, because of the ludicrous parking charges in town. Anyone know a cheaper alternative parking spot in the London road area? Don't mind walking a bit if I have too. At the moment my options are £4 on the bus, £6 on the train (from sholing!) Or £8 to park the car for the day, which would add up to stupid money over the month. Having driven to work for as long as I can remember, I really, really don't want to get the bus.

Don't think Downing has ever set the world alight, but I do think he has quality and would be an excellent addition to the Saints squad. As others have said, looking at Damiao's scoring record, £20 million would be a massive rip off in my eyes. Looking at the stats, and his playing style, I would be annoyed if we paid any more than half of that figure. In fact, I wouldn't bother signing him at all, much better options out there, especially for £20 Million.

Do you play as Saints on Fiffa / PES ?

loved this. -
Excellent. I am ready for the game now.

I have niggling doubts, which isn't like me. Don't think we've built on last seasons squad enough yet.

My preview, if any one is bothered (I didn't like it, much). http://www.godisageek.com/2013/06/fifa-14-hands-on-preview/

Meh. Price seems alright to me. Would rather it was cheaper, obviously, but I want to see the game so I'll pay the price. Looking forward to it.

MLG....Why.

Look forward to seeing him play

It's closer than you think.

Watched it last night. Got so bored by the end my arse fell off. IT FELL OFF. Load of over produced tosh. There are only so many times you can see a couple of invincible dudes going at it hell for leather. Shame, because I liked the cast, it just is severely lacking the human touch. By the end I just didn't give a toss, I just wanted it to end.

The 'who's been rejected for season ticket finance' thread
Saint_Jonny replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
I've never checked but my credit score must be awful, still got accepted though so can't be as bad as I thought. -
Not been to Rockstone but heard their food is great, seen the burgers, they are huge. Went to the Gordon Arms when the weather was a bit better the other week, the burgers (what else do you eat in a pub garden!?) were excellent, huge range of interesting options, worth the extra money. (about £13 for a burger and a pint)

I will eat a turd if we sign this guy. Doesn't seem likely!

A serious post - the club acting disgracefully.
Saint_Jonny replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
Not wanting to play devils advocate here but I can see why the club has the rule it does. If you are disabled, and as such cannot work, and therefore receive state help, that is evidence to the club that you are not a chancer just trying to get a discount, I'm sure they've had plenty of mongs try that on in the past. Using common since, they really should be making an exception in this case. Where is the common sense? -
No need to rush, we've got three weeks to renew, makes no difference if you do it now on next week.

Pictures that Sum Up Saints' Premier League Season 2012/13

Love how Punch is facing away, can't bare to look bless him! -
No they won't, don't believe the hype. The most he'll get is n £80 fine, if not paid court proceedings and ONLY THEN will his car be under threat of being towed away or scrapped. Caught driving without insurance? Then he'd be at risk of losing his car, but keeping it worn in the wrong place isn't something they punish too harshly.

No it's not, it's half time. Have you never seen a football match before?
