  1. Only a littleun' for my room though. At the moment I've got one of these mounted on the wall http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-KDL-26U3000-Widescreen-Bravia-Freeview/dp/B000VZA7J8 It's about 5 years old now, only 720p and the contrast it ****e. You can see the backlight adjust when things get dark, and when things get dark, things get invisible. Xbox looks good on it when things are bright and vibrant though, and the sound, for an LCD TV, is superb. So, I'm after a 26 or 28 inch tv to replace it on the wall, with decent sound and a 1080p picture (because it's plugged into my comp, and 1366x720 is **** next to my 1080p monitor). I know you might say 1080p is pointless on a tv that size but trust me, as a 3D artist, it isn't.
  2. Saints were amazing for 80 minutes, proud of them for that. So painful to get double bummed at the end, however. I'll be dwelling on that til' I'm sat at the Emirates in two weeks time. Morgan was outstanding. Out. Stand. Ing.
  3. Stupid me for thinking this was a done deal again yesterday. Why do I keep falling for it? It's on, it's off, it's on again. Either the italian press are making **** up or Bolonga are a **** to work with. Bored now! Just get it done!
  4. Done didn't think I was ganna get lucky then. Woop!
  5. Tried a zillion times now and still getting the error, GRRRr

  9. One per season ticket holder I assume?
  10. So proud. Can't really say any more than that. Play at the same standard against Wigan next week please Saints!
  11. Phil Thomson and Paul Merson have us to go down.
  12. Bought mine on Friday from the ticket office and they gave it to me there and then. Can't login on the ticket site anymore though, dunno what that's all about!
  13. Paul McCartney...how bad was he!? I thought it would have been MUSE.
  14. Getting my 2 tomorrow, hooray for pay day!
  15. the screens needed updating, if they are anything like the ones at the Kingpower Stadium they will be sweeeeeet.
  16. They did the same thing last year, and said that the video quality would be improved to be "close to HD", that is how they justified the price increase. It never happened and the video quality is stilt utter rubbish. I'm still paying though, what a mug.
  17. £3.50 for a pint of "Saints-Ale" yesterday. Tasted alright and wasn't a total rip off, expensive yes but that is what you expect at any enclosed entertainment venue.
  18. Thought they were changing the big screens? Not happened yet if they are doing so. I just like going to the footy, so a pre season game against good oppo' is a great bonus in the close season!
  19. lol at the wannabe mods.
  20. Brilliant. They will go pop for good soon you can be suer of that.
  21. Hope I'll still be able to get one come pay day on the 25th. What is the limit on season ticket sales? If 22k have sold already, are there many spaces left? :/
  22. On the subject of best Trek characters, this guy has to be right up there, no? John de Lancie put it some steller performances as Q.
  23. This is my sort of thread! Been a Trekky for years, taking in all of it bar the original series (seen the movies though). Can't get into the OS purely for visual reasons, it's so dated I just can't get involved in it. Enterprise was criminally cancelled earlier than we wanted I agree, although I have read the books by Michael A. Martin, which continue (and slightly amend) the story, covering the Romulan War that surely would have featured had ENT been allowed to continue. I'm not much of a Star Wars fan I have to admit, never really seen the attraction. To me its an underdeveloped Star Trek. Three old movies that just don't have enough about them for me to get involved. I am currently knee deep in Frank Herbert's book DUNE, and I'm really enjoying it. I am loving my sci-fi reading, and it was the Enterprise books that got me started. If you are a sci-fi fan and like a good read I have to recommend the works of Vernor Vinge, his novels "A Fire Upon the Deep" and the later "A Deepness In The Sky" are the best books I have read, and by some distance. They took over my life and had my mind wondering around all over the place. And Futurama is back this week! Just downloaded the two new episodes, will get my fix tonight when I get back from work.
  24. Possibly this when it's released? Will be better on fuel and tax than it's bigger brother. http://www.ford.co.uk/Cars/FutureVehicles/Fiesta-ST
  25. Microsoft, HTC, Nokia, Google, Samsung and Apple have been suing eachother for years now. Something new comes up every single day and they are all as bad as eachother.
