Master Bates Posted 17 June, 2009 Share Posted 17 June, 2009 Great headline this morning "Wotte to be axed and replaced by British manager" So as usual I bought a copy, quelle surprise it's just a re hash of an old story, in a nutshell Mark Wotte doesn't know if he has a future or not, and that MLT may choose a British manager. miserableoldgit Posted 17 June, 2009 Share Posted 17 June, 2009 Nope. It's their job to sell newspapers. Which they dead with there headline. In that case, it`s a good job that The Telegraph did try to sell papers with headlines when they uncovered MPs expenses.

Channon's Sideburns Posted 17 June, 2009 Share Posted 17 June, 2009 I'd prefer it if the Echo told us what happened with Hockaday and Webster..... There's a challenge for you Echo......if you're reading.... ;-)

There's a challenge for you Echo......if you're reading.... ;-) Webster's contract should be played out about now. Allegedly Hockaday and Wotton didnt see eye to eye and had a big bust up at the training ground, hence him going out on loan to Brighton. He was on his way to sign when Jan called called him back and Hockaday was sent on leave, all hearsay and allegedly of course. CWD Posted 17 June, 2009 Share Posted 17 June, 2009 To be fair, the Echo are in the same situation as us, not a clue as to what's going on. TBH this actually pleases me because it shows the professionalism of Pinnacle. They've managed to keep virtually everything quiet both from everyone on here and more impressively from the Press. If the 'money' turns out to be someone massive like Rod Stewart or ALW (which still makes me laugh), I'll be even more impressed that the national papers have been kept in the dark I just hope that now its not an anticlimax! VectisSaint Posted 17 June, 2009 Share Posted 17 June, 2009 But isn`t it a newspapers job to try and find out what is going on? Well no actually. Its a newspapers job to report the news, thats why they are called what they are. Unfortunately in this day and age, they seem to think its their business to poke around and try to make up stories under the guise of "investigative journalism", what most would refer to as **** stirring. I,ll go back to my earlier point re:- The Telegraph. Were they ****-stirring or doing a public service or are you saying that as a "newspaper" they shouldn`t have been involved until someone else found out about MPs expenses? Redondo Saint Posted 17 June, 2009 Share Posted 17 June, 2009 I,ll go back to my earlier point re:- The Telegraph. Were they ****-stirring or doing a public service or are you saying that as a "newspaper" they shouldn`t have been involved until someone else found out about MPs expenses? Different circumstances. The Telegraph were given information that was 100% fact and would stand scrutiny. The Echo trolls around fans websites and prints rumours they think will sell papers. I've been ****ed off with how they report on SFC for some time. I think they are deliberately negative for no good reason.
