Jack Cork

Whilst reading the non league paper today I noticed a photo taken at the Farnborough v Chelsea reserves game and Jack Cork appeared to be in the photo. The guy is never going to get a look in at Stamford Bridge, he is wasted there. This made me think that he'd be a great addition to our squad he'd be right now if we could get him on loan ( or even permanent ). He did pretty well whilst he was here on loan last time. What do you think?

I love how idiotic some people are on this forum. That there are serious suggestions that we go and buy Jack Cork. People actually believe that it is worth debating?

He'll end up at Reading IMO but if he was up for sale I think every team in the Championship and most of the Premier League teams would be interested and be way ahead of us when it came down to him deciding where he wants to go.

Get real ffs.

Not that you are probably wrong, but your post reminds me how unambitious so many of our supporters are. We expect the manager to be positive, so we must be too. We supporters must get out of the ' nobody any good is going to come here' mode. Supporters need to be ambitious too.

He is playing for Chelsea's reserves, i bet he'd prefer playing in front of 20.000 in Lg 1 rather a small crowd at Farborough. You gobby ****!!!

I think he is far better than league 1 level and I also think there will be plenty of Championship clubs in the queue ahead of us.

He is going to be a very good player. His old fella is a good lad to boot.

I agree about his dad. His dad played for a Southern league team called wimbledon that climbed to the top. at least I think he was in at the beginning.

It didn't do him any harm and just perhaps he could advise his son as to how the cameraderie forged in the early days helped in no small way in their climb. Crazy gang mentality is just what we could do with right now.

hopkins...shut up...

What has jack cork done that proves he warrants being too good for a top league 1 side and the 4th richest club in england...i would say id still be more shocked that we got keegan when we did if we got cork now..

Just a small point... We have the 4th richest owner in english football.

That's a tad harsh IMHO

It is unlikely, but not to the extent that is not worth a short debate on it.

He'll go to Reading/lower PL team if anywhere' date=' Burnley could do with a player like him.[/quote']

I agree with this, cant see him playing any lower than the Championship and i expect he will link up with Brendon Rogers at Reading.

Its not ambition. Its about being realistic. Positive is fine. Ambition is fine but we are league 1 right now. We can get some of the better players that would play in this league but to seriously suggest that players who Championship clubs would want, would consider going to a league lower is just plain idiotic.

What has Jack Cork done? Apart from being our best player in the CHAMPIONSHIP last season until he left. Apart from being one of Watfords best players in the CHAMPIONSHIP last season until he left. Apart from Captaining Chelsea Reserves at the age of 16. Apart from quite clearly being considered as having a future at Chelsea, because he has not been sold off or released yet, but only given the opportunity to progress as a player by beging allowed to play first team football on loan last season.

Yeah not alot.

He's being kept at Chelsea until he requests to leave because they have a future for him there. Its upto him if he wants to progress his career quicker by leaving but be rest assured if he does decide to leave, any club from the 2nd half of the Premier League down would be interested. That includes the Championship. A league he would merk in, just like he did last season. That includes Reading, who are managed by his old coach at Chelsea.

Football has come along way from the day Keegan signed for us. Moves like that will not happen again. Players go to league 1, are released from Prem Clubs because they are either too old and too **** to play in that league or the Championship, (Eg Jaidi) or have yet to prove they are capable of playing in a league above (For example...Not Jack Cork)

He is playing for Chelsea's reserves, i bet he'd prefer playing in front of 20.000 in Lg 1 rather a small crowd at Farborough. You gobby ****!!!

I bet he would aswell. At no point have I debated that you daft *****. What I said was, EVERY CHAMPIONSHIP CLUB and the majority of Prem Clubs would also want him. I bet you any money he'd prefer to play for one of those clubs than one in League 1. Which he has proved is too good for him.

It doesn't matter how much money we have, unless we are throwing City and probably Notts County like wages about, which we are obviously not going to do, we can't and won't be signing players ahead of clubs in the Championship. No doubt we can compete with the best teams in this league, and I'd fully expect us to look to sign players that are not wanted by clubs in the Championship. But some of you need to get real...Players will sign for Championship clubs ahead of us.

Jack Cork will not be signing for us ahead of a Championship club. How anyone can seriously debate whether or not he would is beyond me.

im not saying he personally would...but i dont believe he is too good for us...tbh i dont think he was all that..i rate JPS more than him OBV he has alot more time to improve than jps now but my brother who is a long time follower of football did not rate him for us and was not great for watford they got dicked afew times with him in the squad...so basically he captained them at 16 and hes around 20 ish now...chelsea were not that great back then but still i agree thats good but tbh it wouldnt take much to have been our best player..but sadly he wasnt even that

not so sure he would be out of our reach.

He isn't a world beater, certainly could do a job in CCC but wonder if we are aiming for more experienced players.

He is not the solid stopper for CB, nor the experienced playmaker for midfield.
