eurosaint Posted 6 November, 2009 Share Posted 6 November, 2009 (edited) How come they all get a live game on TV featuring 2 third division clubs from England in the FA cup on a Friday night ?? Not that I am bothered, especially as I got to watch it online, but I can't honestly picture your average Hungarian sitting at home getting excited about Saints and Rovers when there are so many drop dead gorgeous dolly birds knocking around in that neck of the woods ! Perhaps in Teheran though, there is a bit less to entertain themselves with, but whichever way you look at it, it's a funny old game, eh ?? Edited 6 November, 2009 by eurosaint Seems I should add the Chinese as well !
St Landrew Posted 6 November, 2009 Share Posted 6 November, 2009 Don't moan about it too much. Think about the Beeb coverage that cannot be watched by overseas Saints fans. It must be nice for them to have an alternative. Besides, the British viewing public apparently don't watch anything other than Chelsea, ManU, Arsenal, Liverpool, which says a lot about the media, or the 88 other teams in the league. Personally, I couldn't a monkey's about those 4 teams. Who are they anyway..? They don't represent me. Why would I want to watch them..?

Baj Posted 6 November, 2009 Share Posted 6 November, 2009 Sportklub cover a lot of lower level games, including Belgian Jupiler Pro League. I guess its a cheap option for them to show live football
RonManager Posted 6 November, 2009 Share Posted 6 November, 2009 The TV bus at the ground had 'BowtieTV' written on it.

I'm not moaning at all, in fact I'm a very happy little bunny, having had an otherwise lonely Friday night (wife is 6,000 miles away at the mo!) patched up by a scintillating televised cup tie to watch (well, 2nd half anyway!). Just thought it was interesting that it was shown in some unusual countries, that's all !!
MulletMan Posted 7 November, 2009 Share Posted 7 November, 2009 Well, none iraqi channel have the rights. They just have a site called iraqgoals that are streaming the game. As the channels have the rights for the FA - cup, they show every round of it. Even if it´s a conference game. Sky would probably choosed our game too if we wouldn´t be on TV twice the next week.
