Maybe getting beat by Leeds not a bad result?

they are the best side in this division by a country mile! they looked like an average premiership team today

We match them for goal threat but I reckon their defence is light years better than ours. But on the positive side it's likely they will lose a couple of players (Beckford and Snodgrass) in the transfer window and we looking to buy. If we can get past MKD I reckon it will be a close game in the JPT

They looked a bit better than an average premier league team to be honest, very good value for their win I thought.

If we end up playing them in the JPT final then we would do well to beat them based on their performance today and ours yesterday.....

They will be weaker by the end of the transfer window. Beckford likely to go soon to Newcaslte and maybe Snodgrass somewhere. Saints on the other hand should hopefully be stronger having brought well and not sold any stars. ;)

Slim 1-0 away defeat is better than losing at home to them!

We must be better than Man U!;)

Then wind back to Preston - Colchester and we really are **** again. There can be no doubt that our performances of late have been very disappointing. Hopefully we can turn things round before it's too late and if we have forsaken everything for the JPT, would we have been better off going to watch an England friendly after that Leeds result?

Huddersfield will be a big test for us, with the sort of dynamic midfield I don't believe agrees with us at present. We are desperate for new players to kick start our season again. The trouble is that by the time we get them and the one month bedding in period it took previously, it could all be too late.

Leeds will be weaker by the end of January - probably losing Beckford and Snodgrass and maybe one or two others

hopefully we will be stronger with another forward, a left winger, another midfielder, another centreback and maybe two more full backs

Leeds have strength in depth that we don't yet'

I thought Leeds looked like a Premiership side. I didn't go to Leeds the other week, but going down just 1-0 doesn't look too bad. i shall look forward to seing us beat them at Wembley in the JPT

Leeds where good against us, but not THAT good. They played out of their skins today and fully deserved the win.

I wasn't at Elland Road for the 1-0 defeat, but thought Leeds were immense today. If we matched that team - away - that's grounds to be cheerful.

Very lazy (and typically brainless) decision by ITV pundits to give MotM to Beckford. Their backline was awesome.

Really is a funny old game. Colchester losing 7-0. Gees.

What a miss of a signing Kisnorbo was, absolutely fantastic for them today, i agree with the other posts, the leeds backline was just unbeatable, and from what i heard about our game at their place it was again the leeds backline that really dominated.

I seriously believe this is the only real deciding factor between us and them at present, our back line always seems a little shaky and theirs looks solid.

Hopefully a few defensive signings over the next few days will see us motoring on the way we really should be, a mobile box to box playmaker wouldn't go a miss either.

Fair play to leeds today, Snodgrass will be off too in Jan

Feckin' 'ell. Just in from work and never noticed that result until I saw this thread. LOL is all I can say. When was the last time Man Utd went out in the 3rd round? Or lost at home to a lower league side?

RE: Our trip to Elland Road, it wasn't that bad a result as such, but Leeds were bellow par and we offered nothing going forwards.

Leeds were lacklustre when we played them at their place, nothing like how you saw them play against United.
