Gemmel Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 Now the manager is sorted, i was trying to guess what the job actually pays. I think I read (Not sure how accurate) that Adkins was on 150k at scunny. I think (Pure guess) about 200k, plus promotion bonus, does that sound about right? NorthamSteve Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 Yea, that's probably about right give or take a little (well rather a lot, but that depends on how you look at it.)
Pancake Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 £150k plus all the sponges he needs.

Redondo Saint Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 I would imagine his salary is linked to many bonus type payments such as points by Xmas, promotion, etc. NC will have used his experience from his banking days to structure a performance related pay package. Tartarus112 Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 Well i would assume he is on more than our players who are paid 1-10k a week. Which works our at 500k over a year. I wouldn't be surprised if he was on more than £1m a year. Though probably with bonuses as some have said. Can't really look at his scunny wages as they are a poor club and he was completely unknown when he took over.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 Did I see on another thread that Pardew was being paid £500k pa? Based on record, Adkins should be worth a similar amount - but I'd hazard a guess at £300k basic + hefty bonuses based on league position. Poor old Jan....remember his £50k??? Mind you, I'd do the job for £45k....

beancounter saint Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 As has been suggested I would hope it is fairly well weighted towards performance related incentives though it's probably quite difficult to get prospective managers to agree to these as they cannot control what resources (players) will be at their disposal at the end of a transfer window. I think we can safely say it's more than Scunny pay though!!

Draino76 Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 NC likes to treble peoples salaries (Lambert), so £450k. Promotion this year probably take him up to £1M.

BadgerBadger Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 NC is extremely astute and performance bonuses will play a big part in NA salary - as it should. Probably something he'd not achieved signing the 'wow' manager so many people wanted.
A Nut Can Cut You Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 Daily Mail says £200k a year and "promised a huge bonus for getting Saints back into the Premier League by the end of his contract."
ericb Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 i'm guessing we pay him money, money and tea. Not sure about the milk though that might count as an extra that needs to be paid for

hamster Posted 13 September, 2010 Share Posted 13 September, 2010 A bit shy of the head honcho of HCC, less unexplained (and clearly NOT performance related) bonuses of course.
