Well there isn't one of course!

Sure i remember mention of there being one in the new year mind...

By then we should be in the top two having just made the January signing of Michael Owen so Cortese can look forward to much backslapping :toppa:

Typical bloody Cortese. Obviously putting of the Fan's Forum until we're five points clear at the top of the league and nobody can remember the last time we conceded a goal.

Would have been nice to have heard something from the club if indeed it has been postponed.

I don't think anything 'official' has come out of the club yet (so nothing to postpone). The only thing I'm aware of is the comments from NC at that dinner the other week.

It was mentioned in the report of the Dinner that NC held with 24 ST holders that he said it was being something that needed to be organised as soon as possible.

Gawd knows where that thread and report went

Well then if they were planning it in September (which according to numerous reports including Solent they were) then it would have been nice to keep supporters well informed.

Maybe the club could have extended this information to the wider supporter base?

Agree. What a c*nt. He just doesn't appreciate what this club means to us fans. Cortese out ffs.

See this is why the forum has gone downhill. At no point did I say anything like that. I think the club should communicate better with the fans on issues like this. I would say that whoever was in charge. Notice that I never said Cortese either just the club.

Agreed. I'm sincerely hoping the new group of moderators (led by Dune) will be working hard to stamp out any form of **** taking, banter or indeed any attempts at humour...

I see what you did there, instead of the 5+ pages of debate, you went straight to the conclusion!

Anyway, I just like to add that I haven't seen any annoucement of a Fans Forum to postpone, but think it's a good idea.

Hypo

yes I do and some are being sarcastic so know Im not jumping to conclusions

Why doesnt somebody contact the club directly to see if there is or isnt going to be a fans forum this season.

I seem to recall the club has been through a fair bitof turmoil in recent months if you had forgotten and a fans forum while important

was not the clubs priority as far as I can see

And where did I state it was? I fully appreciate the reasons for the forum being delayed. It would just be nice if the fans were kept in the loop with this matter because I happen to think that the forum is important. Now please point out where someone has knocked NC?

There have been some pretty devastating changes that might well have influenced the Club's decision on this. The normal time for it to have taken place was just before the start of the season.

There might have been a line of questioning then about the security of Pardew's managership and criticism of a rather poor pre-season. Then came the death of Markus Liebherr and inevitably there would have been requests for assurances that the family would continue to support the club financially, although otherwise it might not have been an ideal time anyway, out of respect for the family. Then followed the dismissal of Pardew, so reasonable to postpone it until a new manager had been appointed and got his feet under the table. Otherwise the inevitable line of questioning would have surrounded the circumstances that led to Pardew's going and speculation as to who would replace him.

It would be nice to still have a forum, but a lot of the questions that will be asked will inevitably rake over old coals. But my feeling is that the mood amongst fans has changed to coincide with some decent recent results for Adkins and admiration for the way that he has apparently turned around the team into a more confident and stronger unit, playing attractive football. Perhaps a few more matches won in style like the last one and many of the previous issues will cease to have as much importance in most people's minds.

Mind you, there is always the worry that some of those on here who delight in posting vitriolic and venomous posts seemingly from an agenda of personal spite, could attend the forum and have a public platform to cause mischief. But then they would have to be very careful that they weren't prosecuted for slander.

I agree with you. I still think the club could release something in public about this. Especially if what was said at the dinner was true about it being done as soon as possible.

Of all the reasons this forum is going tits up i fail to see how misfiring attempts at humour could be considered one...

It wasn't an attempt at humour, it was a tired line that people trot out when they disagree with someone elses opinion. People jump straight to assuming that I (or other posters saying similar things) am saying "Cortese is a c*nt" when in reality I am saying none of the sort.

Well i disagree. It quite plainly was an attempt at humour.

And i'd kindly appreciate you seeing that i have a differing point of view to you and leaving it at that because i'm a delicate flower.
