Happy Birthday Guly

Noticeable how many first time finishes and headers - good positioning for a lot of his goals. And lots of assists for Rickie.

Also amazing how much more space you get in Championship and L1, makes you appreciate how well players like Rickie and Lallana have done to adapt to become good PL players and why players like Sharp were never going to make it in the Prem.

Happy Birthday Guilherme

Gotta love him.

Have to say that as the "obligatory youtube" compilation that is pretty impressive.

If NC could put that in the 'pre-transfer pack' we could probably flog him for £10m.

But as someone else commented a few weeks ago it is a shame he hasn't scored in the Premiership for us given his contribution over the last three years. Hope he gets the chance.

Regardless of the quality of the opposition, Guly's contribution to the first half of our Championship season (9 goals+ assists) before New Year was quite noticeable. ( Note: Ricky had managed 14)

..as with many others (at different times in our history) ...he was the man of the moment for quite a while there.

OK it's clear he doesn't have what it takes (at 32) to even get a regular bench place in the Prem..... it is however, somewhat unfair to discount his previous efforts as less than meaningful.

He may not have been a shadow of his former self since then, and just one of those who fell by the wayside, and ends up as just another name in ALL THE SAINTS. (see page 300)

Personally, I enjoyed the memory of him at his best, and will watch that video clip on #2 once again.

Happy birthday Guly.
